Absofrickenlutely!!

This had to be one of the most amazing books Ive heard. The humour, pain and love throughout this story was incredible. The Cross family continues its search for Allys nightmare and to find the people behind the sale of girls.

Lacey does a fabulous job of telling the tale but also drawing the reader into the family.

Great read, full of emotions and ending with happy tears.

Freaking awesome book

This has been a wonderful series. I had received this for an honest review. Not only did Lacey Silks do a wonderful job writing this series but Julian Emlen did a wonderful job narrating this book. I found myself talking to the characters from time to time. Either shouting run or go for it girl..LOL

Tristan was sexy as all get out. He is like the perfect book boyfriend. He had been seriously hurt physical and inwardly by a girl named Kendra. By the time this book was out Tristan had already put the girl he loved by the name of Allie undercover to save Kendra. Allie got hurt rescuing Kendra in book 1 and was in the hospital where she found out she was pregnant. I so wanted to scream by the way Lacey ended book one.

So this book picks up were book one left off. Allie is ready to tell Tristan he is going to be a daddy and Tristan just fired her before she could tell him. So there was a lot of emotion at the end of book one and the beginning of book 2.

I have to say that Allies world had to be crumbling when she heard Tristan tell her he was firing her. She had already felt like he had been pulling away from her. Here she was going to tell him they were expecting and he just pulls the rug out from under her. Does he still want her? Is he wanting to get back with Kendra?

Allie finds she is fighting with jealousy. She has so many insecurities due to her past and what her mother went through. This book was named so well. Not only does Tristan have so many scars when it comes to relationship but so does Allie. They both need healing that I think they can only give each other. Both have trust issues and will have to learn to get pass it.

I found it so funny that Emma gets to chose the baby name. Funny Lacey; Barney, Betty, or Puss.. I about fell over laughing. Will Emma chose a good baby name? Reading about Emma having to keep secrets was funny as well. I could mentally picture her jumping up and down with the look like she was going to explode.

I loved Laura and James in the book. We met them in book one and they were special then, but in this book they became more special.

My heart did break for Marissa. Allie felt such a special connections to her. Allie does not find out until much later why.

His absolutely amazing, sexy voice. The way he gives commands as the Dom...is just dreamy. His voice brings the whole story to life and makes you feel like he's talking directly to you.

Other audiobooks are often just read out loud, without any feeling, especially bdsm erotica. In that way, I find them very lacking. This, this is what I want hear when listening to bdsm erotica. Listening to the book, I felt like I was in the room, with him.

Another hit from The Grey Knight! This one is a little different than his normal second person writings, but holy hell, it was a good one! He goes into more depth this time, inside the main character's head and describing what is actually happening, and it REALLY spotlights his flair for writing, more so than in his other works. It flows so well, and he reads it just right, and the erotic factor is, as always, on point. Definitely a good sexy listen!

Maybe it's Just Me

I'm really at a list for words. Did I just listen to/read the same book as the other reviewers?! After reading the blurb and the reviews from other listeners, I fully expected to be blown off my feet.

Nope. Did not happen.

The performance was okay. The man was "eh" but the female's narration irked my nerves at times. It's hard to truly blame her as most of the problem was with the writing.

The writing. This book was too long and for nothing. Half of the book could have been eliminated as it served absolutely no purpose to the plot. The idea of the book was good it just included a lot of unnecessary pages. I ended up skipping through some chapters for the first 3/4 of the book in an attempt to reach the end. There were a lot of plot holes as well. I just couldn't get with this book. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the credit. If you have Amazon Unlimited (the book is available for free if you have it) then by all means. Otherwise, save your hard earned money.

An emotionally gripping tale!

Sweet mother of all that's holy!!! This was an absolutely amazing book. It will keep you guessing the whole time. Kellan and Cleo's story is a beautiful, heartbreaking, sexy ride! I don't want to spoil anything so I will just say that Sloth is an absolute MUST READ and Sweet baby Jesus - KELLAN!!!

After reading the reviews, I thought wow this will be a great book. Not so much, It was way too long and I couldn't finish the book. I skipped most of the chapter, it was too difficult to listen to. Please save your credit, its definitely NOT worth it.

awesome story

I really liked this book..REALLY LIKED it! It had so much depth to it and so different from my normal romance novels! The sex was HOT but actually took a back seat for me to story taking place! I loved the narration. Shirl Rae sounded exactly the way Cleo would sound imo.. I found that his desire for sex was a little unbelievable when he was sick but it's fiction so we'll go with it. A wonderful love story and definitely worth the credit..had I used one!

One of the best books of 2015

Sloth is the most gut wrenching, heart breaking stories I have ever read. I have read it too many times to count. This version is even more amazing if you can believe that.

Cleo and Kellan and their love story is like none you have ever read before.

Buy it, listen to their story and laugh and cry along with the rest of us!

Most definitely!! It was funny, hot, sexy, and the storyline was great.

It kept me on my toes. I never knew what Memphis was going to say next. Kai Kennicot and Wen Ross did an amazing job as usual bringing this story to life.

I loved Memphis and Tallia. They're chemistry was undeniable.

I loved the attraction between Memphis and Tallia. Even though Tallia tried hard to deny her feelings for Memphis it was clear that they should be together.

I love MJ Fileds' books. She is one of my go to authors and I am never disappointed with a anything she writes. Her characters are very entertaining to say the least. They are so unpredictable and funny at times, but all are full of heart and the love they share is nothing but beautiful.

Just average

This audiobook just didnt do much for me. The worst part of this story was the narration. It sounded like he was talking in a tin can and I found it very distracting. Then, in the actual story I felt that it was such a far fetched concept that the daughter searched for the father but there was no fleshing out of that character. To have the heroine, who hadnt seen the two heroes in over 18 years to fall into bed with them almost immediately after seeing them again was not believable and made the heroine look stupid. Sorry, but just not very enjoyable.

Action adventure erotica

This is a well thought out, interesting premise for a romantic erotica story - have humor, mystery and intrigue (with some puzzles/clues for the characters to figure out along the way); action and adventure taking place around the world, and paranormal/magic/shapeshifter elements thrown out over many eras/lifetimes for the characters - plus all the different sexual tastes you can think of.

The author, Ms. Dalton does a great job keeping track of her characters, though some tweaking in the writing would have been great (Lina is suppose to only see blue when a vision represents the future). A couple of the bad guys' names were a little confusing to me as to why they were already dead - but I see there are a couple of other stories that are 'prequels' to Fire and Ice, so I guess I'll pick those up in Kindle to see what they were about.

The narrator does a good job with almost all of the accents, especially Scottish - her character voices were distinct enough that I could tell which person was speaking when.

An overall, very entertaining production.

Definitely not your typical 'erotica' story - it's really more action/thriller based with a lot of humor throughout. Great for us guys that like beat 'em up/blow 'em up stories :-)

Who was your favorite character and why?

That was tough - Lena and Jocko get top honors. There are too many interesting characters to really choose from. I liked the snarky humor given to Lena's character.

Have you listened to any of Veronica Hearts other performances before? How does this one compare?

Ms. Heart is great at male and female voices - she always keeps a story interesting with her narrating style.

It was the Grand Opening of Twisted Steele but for two of the guests they were there for only one thing..... Mick. Then, as soon as each one met they took in the differences of tattoos, piercings, more attractive, more irresistible and more subtle changes too that were even more appealing and sexy than before. Great Narration for the cheesy but loveable story

I really really loved this book. Great narration added to my enjoyment. I finished it feeling totally fulfilled and the Comic Con ending was perfect. Boo was just precious in every way.

I'm not sure if this was too short or what. It obviously leaves you hanging for the next book. It was just kind of like everything was random or didn't actually have a story line or something. Well, it did have a good story line, and it could've been good but something just fell flat for me on this and I don't care enough about the characters to even read the next book :/ maybe it just get me sucked in

What did you love best about Forbidden: Linc & Raven, Book 1 (A Stepbrother Novella)?

I loved the narrator. I have listened to many of Kai Kennicott's narrations and think she did an awesome job doing both the female and the male parts which is hard to do.

What did you like best about this story?

It had me laughing at so many parts.

Which scene was your favorite?

The mouse scene was definitely my favorite. I laughed so hard.

Any additional comments?

This was the first book I have read by Danielle Jamie, but I really enjoyed it. I love how the characters butt heads constantly but you just know they want each other. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Story is nothing special & narration is horrible

The story is a typical stepbrother romance except it's boring with extremely immature characters. The narrator is one of the worst that I've experienced on Audible. The main character's voice is not terrible, but the best friend's is "nails on chalkboard" level irritating. I don't recommend this book, but if you really want to try it... I'd stick to Kindle edition.

I loved how Raven acts like she doesn't like Linc even though she can't stop thinking about him.

I loved both, Linc and Raven. Without the other you wouldn't get the reactions that we do.

What does Kai Kennicott bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

**This is my first audio book!**

I have read the book on my own and listened to the audio version. I'm not a big fan of the monotone voice. I listened to this while I was cleaning and my hubby was looking forward to listening to it as well, he is a Danielle Jamie fan as well.
