Great Story

What did you love best about Misconduct?

Penelope Douglas did a great job building up the characters. You want to feel for and with them.

I really liked the story line.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Carrie Brach and Guy Locke ?

Probably not. As odd as this probably sounds they just didn't sound anything like how I envisioned the characters. Plus not a lot of emotion was put into the narration.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

In Esten's classroom when Jack was talking to her. I was like Nooooooo.... and then they went outside and I was like NOOOOOOOO....... Very emotional.

I love this book. The narration was not one of my favorites but the story itself was perfect.

The writing style is really good and the story was quite interesting.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Carrie Brach and Guy Locke ?

For the male narrator I would have chosen Troy Duran instead of Guy Locke, and instead of the Carrie Brach I would have chosen a narrator with a voice sounding younger and less out of breath. It was very annoying in parts to hear her swallowing, hurrying through some paragraphs as if she really wanted to get it over with and using an angry tone even when the character was quite serene. I also didn't enjoy the fact that Mrs Brach used a harsher, deeper voice for the heroine and a more feminine one for the male character. It was strange and in contradiction with the personalities of the main characters depicted by the author.

Penelope has a new fan!!

Great story! This is my first Penelope Ward book!! I am hooked!!Super hot w a great plot. Kept me engaged and guessing. Narrators did a nice job too. Love that there was a male and female voice. Definitely worth a credit!!

Not My Favorite

What did you like best about Tainted? What did you like least?

Not sure there was a best part. I did not like that they pronounced Vita's name differently than the first book it was an irritation every time they said her name. Not as well edited as the first book. They say Sawyers name about 10 times then the band member says what is your name. Small things like that bothered me. Also there was very little from Kaden's point of view. It was really far fetched and tried to reach places too soon when they were not there yet.

What could Jamie Begley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

A better editing job. It lacked cohesiveness. It did not have a tight story that let to the things that happened. I guess I needed a little more depth into the characters. Also I would have loved to know what Kaden was thinking many times in the book.

How could the performance have been better?

Pronouncing Vita's name the same as in book 1.

Do you think Tainted needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not sure, if it turned around to more like book 1 I would say yes.

I love Jamie Begley's books. They are well written...have an awesome story to tell..,and push boundaries/comfort zones. All her books bring on heart ache & joy...with characters you can relate to emotionally. I would not hesitate to read any book written by her.

Vivid, sexy, sultry, even a bit wicked

The narrator brought Sawyer's story to life and helped give a swift easy flow.

Getting behind the scenes and following Sawyer while ok n the run was exciting and insughtful.

I've read this series if book's so many times. Needless to say they are my favorites. Listening to them is !ike reading them for the first time only better. I'm sure you will enjoy them as much as I have.

No actor could save this poorly written story.

I'm a fan of Jamie Begley, but, unfortunately the plot wasn't anything to write home about, and neither of the two main characters had any redeeming qualities. He was an asshat from beginning to end, and she was a total doormat.

Tantalized, teased, titillating

The words here come to life and give a new meaning to sexy innocence.

Vida was strong and determined to find her life long friend. Colton wanted nothing to do with her, but there was just something about her.

Best of it's Kind

Usually erotica reads a lot like porn; a lame setup leading to a garden variety sex scene. I found this selection to be cut, maybe two cuts above the norm for the genre. The erotic scenes are well done and are actually a turn on. The narrator does a nice job with this one and I found it to be one of the best erotic audiobooks I've listened to on Audible.

Sweet

This story was sweet with its reminiscing of the past. The erotic scenes were well written, and the narration was lovely to listen to. Piper has a beautiful, soft, sensual voice that fit perfectly with this story.

Inhumane Brutality

At first I couldn't decide who was more sadistic and inhumane: Mistress Lily (professional bully) or Master Jeremy (undercover cop guilty of cold blooded murder). It didn't take long for Jeremy to prove he was the bigger asshole.

The plot was ridiculous, not actually a police thriller, but rather just of an excuse to promote sexual assault and torture as normal human behavior. The constant references to people as slaves, and therefore just an object to be used and abused, reminded me of the Nazis.

When one of the sex club scenes degenerated into a gang rape, where the Jeremy & the crowd turned on Lily with unimaginable brutality and no remorse, I was totally appalled. I couldn't believe a female author actually believed that rape could be an erotic experience.

This book attempted to romanticize the act of sexual assault and dehumanize women. Jeremy was the worst kind of sexual predator, a sociopath without the ability of feel love or sympathy, and a criminal with a badge. Absolutely not a hero!

When Lily meekly accepted Jeremy's humiliating and cruel abuse, she reinforced the misogynistic belief that women are inferior and stupid. Why would anyone, particularly female readers, find this novel entertaining, romantic or sexy?

Family is love!

This was such a great book to listen to! The rockers and their wives are starting to have their own families and for some there are difficulties and roadblocks along the way. This was a real heartwarming book for fans of this series. Narration was perfect.

I absolutely love these books!!!!! Although my favorite character is Drake. I think maybe from the start he's seen as a typical rock star more so than the other guys. But the best part is when he sobers up because he falls in love. The Reality of having a baby is awesome. It shows what a true loving heart he's always had. I would like to know if Drake &. Lona moved back to California.? It never says anything about having a House accept in NY. It doesn't describe it or anything. I hope they all end up together in California. It's hard to live so far from such a caring family.

That was a little different

Yeah, things change up a bit in this book! It is interesting to see a shifter who does not sense his mate right away. It adds a whole other level of depth to things. You also get to see them fall in love without the dragon deciding things for them.

Rebecca is Charlottes sister and here for a visit. Well, that is what she thinks, Gerri sees her as her next romantic match. She is much like the other gals in the series, likeable, but pretty much the same ole same ole.

The smexy is on point, as always. Expect to feel scorching heat and have the snuggle buddy at the ready. There are some really steamy scenes that are worthy of bookmarking!

Lauren Sweet is a delightful narrator who continues to shine in these reads. I enjoy her so much with this author I am looking at her other reads as well. Definitely brings the story to life and moves the pace perfectly!

I do enjoy this series and am happy to see things change up a little. I am eager to see what happens next back here on Earth.

Hope in the darkness

When I started this series I started with book one and have worked my way up. I have loved each and every book in this series but have to say that this by far is my favorite. I think it is the one that had touch me the most. To top that off I loved the claiming mark that the author used for the dragon. As we know in the previous book that the bear and cat shifters scratch. the Wolf shifters bite but let me tell you I think the dragon was the most unique one of all. Sorry you will have to read the book to find out more on the claiming mark.

My heart truly broke for Vikter. I actually shed a few tears for him.

Sophomoric. Disappointing after Paranormal Dating

This performer is just awful. As is the story editing. Poor grammer and mismatched tenses are unfortunately not uncommon in this genre. But misquoted common sayings are just unforgivable. And really, after the Paranormal Dating Agency series, which was wonderful and unforgettable - and which I thankfully read via kindle instead of listening to in Audible - I wish I'd never bothered with this.

I was able to feel the desperation but also the respect and concerns of the aliens. This book makes one ponder our own future, survival and the various issues that we face as a society as well as a species.

I was very entertained and found it hard to stop listening. Left me waiting for the next book, should there be a sequel. I hope there are many sequels to follow.

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, had sad and happy moments. I loved the beginning when he was trying to talk. That just cracked me up. I would recommend this book. I liked it so much i am now listening to Taken. I look forward to more it this series.

Warrior of Hir Captures Mate!

Thanks to one of my fellow Audible members, I've found another series to concur!

Captured was a surprising well written story with a natural flow. While the plot did not have a lot of action, it was full of drama, angst, and several steamy sex scenes. The character's were likable, and the world building was very descriptive and creative.

Kathryn and Adam did an outstanding job on the dual narration. Kathryn projected the perfect southern accent for Jeanna's character; however, I had to get used to Adam's narration for Ra`kur's voice. He did a great job imitating what a male alien may sound like. Ra`kur's voice was deep, slightly gruff voice, reflected emotions but sometimes came across rushed.

Very good narration

I think this is the best narration with I've heard with 2 narrators. I didn't think it would be as good as it was.
