    Publisher's Summary:
Mass murder doesn't happen in Matt Foley's town. It doesn't happen to his friends. Someone is going to pay.
Disturbing crime scenes are nothing new to the Twin Falls Police Chief. But this one is different. The victims are friends. In their Tudor mansion just inside the city limits, a family is dead: husband, wife, two kids, and the family cook.
The killer made one mistake. He left a survivor.
The husband is one of the big three in the microchip industry. The family lived a quiet modest life. It doesn't make sense.

    Well done!
This is the second book in the Matt/ Sara series. While it is a stand alone book it did help to have some of the background written in the first book.
A family of 5 people are killing in Matt's town. The sheriff's office works through the facts to determine who the murder is.
While it was a little more revealing than book one, this book held the suspense through the entire book, not discovering the villain until the very end.
I've enjoy the narrator. He did a good job with the dialogue and accents from the US as well as England.
I look forward to more from both.
    Thriller
Then There Were None is a good mystery story with a great plot and a bit of the Christian faith woven in. It isn't preachy, but nicely done. With a few twists and surprises, V. B. Tenery weaves a great story. Narration by Maxwell Zener is right on target with the voices and nuances of each character. I look forward to more from them both.
I received this audio book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Second Book Was Not A Disappointment!!
    Any additional comments?
Too many times I listen to the first book in a series and sit on pins & needles anxiously awaiting the next installment only to find myself completely disappointed. It was not the case with this book, if anything it was even better! Of course that could be because I became emotionally attached to the main characters in the first book, so with the second book they had me at hello!! I hope the author is reading this because I'm desperately hoping for book #3. The narration was perfect with just the right amount of intrigue and each character well defined. The icing on the cake was no bad language or sexual content to distract from the storyline, just a nice clean murder mystery. Well Done!!!
This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBoom dot com.
Exciting Intense Christian Themed Mystery Thriller
First off do not shy away from this thriller just because it is Christian themed. The book is only very subtly seasoned with Christian content that fits nicely into the story. There is no fanatic preaching or Christian rhetoric. For example one of the main characters is a missionary and the Christian content is mainly centered around this character which fits nicely into the story and does not detract from the mystery thriller. I wish more Christian themed novels where done in this manner. No hard sell, no overpowering rhetoric, no Christian intimidation.
Secondly this is an exiting, high octane, original well written and narrated mystery thriller with a complex plot containing surprises, twists and turns.

    Publisher's Summary:
Isabelle Mackenzie always imagined herself married with kids. Instead, at 30, she's chronically single and lives alone in a cramped condo on Chicago's north side. Sure, she's got her beloved bookstore and her two best friends, Cameron and Oliver, but even they can't make up for the fact that her life hasn't turned out anything like she expected. The weighing disappointment has her questioning everything she once felt certain of, including her faith in God. So when Olly and Cam secretly volunteer her for a nationally-televised makeover, Mack decides to use the opportunity to reinvent herself.
What follows is an unlikely romance with famous actor Cooper Young, a cross-continental adventure, and the long-awaited chance to make all of her dreams come true. Will Mack be able to keep her faith amidst the glitz and glamour of Cooper's lifestyle, or will she lose herself and abandon everything and everyone she cares about in the process?
Ciao, Bella is the story of one woman's unexpected revelations about faith, love, and true happiness. It's a novel for all who have ever been granted the desires of their hearts, only to discover that what they thought they wanted could never compare to what they already had.
    Members Reviews:
    Faith element well-done
The faith element of the story was well-done, and I like the end result, though the ending itself seemed rushed. However, it seemed that the author wrote with a thesaurus open to find pretentious words. Also I felt that too much time was spent on the ersatz romance with the Hollywood hunk rather than the true romance with the real man of her dreams.
    Crossroads
Who hasn't started down a path in life and soon realized it wasn't the right one? Or maybe you traveled quite a ways before the realization hit. If that is you, you need to read this book. God is a God of second chances, and it is never too late to turn back to Him.
    AWESOME!!!
A roller coaster of emotions, this book brings me through the pain and heartache involved in living outside of Christ, learning to be content in every situation, and that true love really does forgive our past and the hurts. Encouraging novel from a perspective we can understand even if we ourselves will probably never get to kiss a movie star.
    Full Circle
This book is full of choices and options that Mack had no idea existed. It's kind of like our own lives. She goes to the extreme, but all of us have these same choices. I enjoyed reading her story very much. Great novel for young adults.
    search and find
Such a good contemporary representation of the appeal of glamor versus faith. The temptation of bling and success over peace and contentment and a real relationship with God is vividly written. The strong finish of surrender to God and His purpose for our future is thrilling.

    Uplifting story
A sweet Christmas story that takes us once again to the quaint village of Chilton Crosse. It is fun to catch up with characters from the previous 2 books and learn more about George & Mary Cartwright. As the story progresses we learn more about the mysterious stranger who has stumbled into their yard, but also the back story of George and Mary. It is very touching and definitely puts you in the holiday spirit. I was left wanting more of Ben's story and I hope that in the future Ms. Borum will write more about him. If you love Christmas stories that tug at your heart strings, then you will definitely want to read this one!
    Love this book series!
The author has done it again! This third novel in the Chilton Crosse series does not disappoint. Once again the author's skilled writing takes me to the quaint, English village with characters I have come to adore. The storyline was powerful and inspiring at the same time. Brilliant job once again! Bring on the next book in the series!
    Great read
Great series. Can't put them down.
    Definitely worth the time.
Another excellent book from Ms Borum. I love that I can recommend her books to anyone without worrying they will be offended by language or sex. Keep up the good work, your readers are ready for another!
    Wonderful and warm!
This book captivated my attention from beginning to end. Looking forward to reading another book by this author very soon. This is a wonderfully told story full of heart and mystery and small town magic!

    Captivating Story!
This is not my normal genre; however, after reading the description, The Deer Effect sounded intriguing and I really wanted to listen to it. The story was very captivating and a refreshing change from my normal genre's. It will not only speak to your heat but will leave you contemplating life, loss, forgiveness, and letting go.
    ***Spoilers***
Rod and Hannah had a fight earlier and Hannah decides she is going to walk their dog named Bobby. While she is in the process of getting ready to head out, and is in the driveway, Rod calls out to her and let's her know he plans on moving out. She does not react, but proceeds with walking dog.
During the walk, two misguided motorcyclist ride by and come close to hitting them; however, as she is walking, it appears a fawn was hit. She tries to assist and starts checking over the fawn injuries when the motorcyclists circle back and hit her but decide to leave the scene of the accident.
When the accident is discovered, Hannah and the fawn have passed and Rod comes to the scene of the accident after the dog comes home without Hannah. Rod's thinking he's lost his mind, but starts working on communicating with the dog and ask simple questions and eventually comes to believe the dog can see Hannah. One night he even sees the sprit of a little girl.
As he goes through the emotions of grief, and guilt, he's feelings turn to anger and he puts motions in place to deal with Hannah's killers to ensure they are held accountable for her death. However, Hannah's time on earth is coming close to the end and she tries to reach out to him one last time before something bad happens.
I really enjoyed listening to this story! It was entertaining, with a little suspense, humor, and a powerful message. I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

    Publisher's Summary:
An unforgettable romance set in Victorian England, Bride of a Distant Isle is the engrossing story of Annabel Ashton, who fights to save her family home and her mother's honor while trying to figure out if the man she loves wants her - or just wants to use her to achieve his own ambitions.
Miss Annabel Ashton is a teacher at the Rogers School for Young Ladies in Winchester when she takes a brief visit to her family home, Highcliffe Hall at Milford-on-Sea. She believes her stay will be short but soon learns that she will not be returning to the safety of the school. Instead she remains at Highcliffe at the mercy of her cousin, Edward Everedge.
Annabel protests, but as the illegitimate daughter of a woman who died in an insane asylum, she has little say. Edward is running out of money and puts the house up for sale to avoid financial ruin. He insists that Annabel marry, promising her to a sinister, frightening man. But as the house gets packed for sale, it begins to reveal disquieting secrets. Jewelry, artifacts, and portraits mysteriously appear, suggesting that Annabel may be the true heir of Highcliffe.
She has only a few months to prove her legitimacy, perhaps with assistance from the handsome but troubled Maltese Captain Dell'Acqua. But does he have Annabel's best interests at heart?
And then, a final, most ominous barrier to both her inheritance and her existence appears: a situation neither she nor anyone else could have expected. Will Annabel regain her life and property - and trust her heart - before it's too late?

    Perfect break from mainstream romance
Lately it has been a challenge to find a good, engaging listen that isn't filled with profanity and sex. If you are looking for a story that has a plot, reminiscent of Phyllis Whitney, this is the book for you. It is a very clean cut book... no profanity or sex scenes. It is was overall a good listen for me. I think I would really rate 3.5 stars ... since it was not out of the ball park good and it was a little above mediocre.
This author weaves a tale around jealousy, family problems, 1850's England .... and was a good listen. The twits are predictable, but never the less told in such a way you really don't mind.
The narration was okay. The "foreign" accents from Malta were a little taxing, but otherwise it was not an unbearable performance.
I used a credit for this book. Definitely sale worthy .... save the credit.

    Entertaining story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I really enjoyed reading the first book in this series, so I was very excited to get a chance to listen to book 2. I would recommend this to a friend, although the reader wasn't at all like I had in mind for Holly Anna. It took my enjoyment down a notch, but it was still an entertaining story.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Holly Anna is a great character. She's quirky, but has a good heart. She was really put in a difficult situation in this story. She wanted to be with those she loved, but was forced to choose between their safety and being with them.
What didnt you like about Sandy Rustins performance?
The narrator's portrayal of Holly Anna came off as younger and not as smart and tough as I'd built her up in my mind from the first book in the series.
    Any additional comments?
The mystery was good in Random Acts of Deceit, although I had my suspicions about who the bad guy was.

    A Sweet Christian Romance
The CHRISTMAS VILLAGE MIRACLE by Teresa Lily is a sweet Christian romance about the power of prayer to change your life. Jane's life is hard and tedious. Her dreams of living in a small New England town and being a librarian seem hopeless until she sees a Christmas Village in a shop window. Ron longs to find someone to share his life with. When Jane drops her coin purse Ron feels compelled to follow her to return it. Both find their way into the shop and through prayer and a touch of heavenly magic discover that dreams and longings can be fulfilled.
    A romantic, magical read
Looking for a romantic, magical read, just in time for Christmas. These stories are sweet and relaxing for an enjoyable evening read. The topic was suprising in a fun way. The characters find themselves taken out of the hardships of life and into a Christmas village:one of hope, one of peace, and one of joy!
The Christmas Village of Joy by Stephanie Guerrero especially deals with how God turns sorrow into joy.
    Christmas Village Miracle
This is a very sweet story about the miracle of the Christmas season if you truly believe in the true meaning of Christmas. The only draw back was that the story didn't go deeper into the characters...it went straight to the happy ending. I expected to learn more about the shop owner. However in today's society were people are ruthless and negative it's nice to read something uplifting and pure joyful.
    Unrealistic
What started out as such a nice story, soon became unrealistic and unfathomable. I certainly believe in the magic of Christmas, but this was total rubbish. The miracle of Christmas is Christ and not some wish that is not based on Him. I did not appreciate this author's work at all and will probably never read any of her other materials.
    Five Stars
What a wonderful story !!!!! Loved it.
