Interesting.
It's really hard to sum up the plot because I don't want to give anything away, plus it's the type of book where you're better off knowing nothing, but I will say it's incredibly powerful. The basic plot is that a suicide bomber goes into a church demanding that God speaks to him personally, or he will blow everyone up.
Simple plot, but where the author adds his spin is that it's told from multiple characters POV. This took a simple story and made it exceptional. You feel like you can put yourself into each of the characters shoes and experience the horror and fear from their view. In this day and age, you can just imagine that this could happen. You can imagine the fear you would feel, well, imagine no more, Kit Power manages to pull you into this and make you part of the story, it was truly terrifying when I was listening to it.
There are multiple characters, but the author gives a break down of each at the start of the book. This helped while listening to it cause it could of gotten confusing. Each of the characters are in that church for a certain reason and I liked finding it out as the story progresses. Every one has problems, some just express it differently than others.
Anyway, this is a thrilling, terrifying, well written and developed book. It will have you questioning things, it will have you on the edge of your seat and it will stay with you long after you read it. An incredible story and all I'll say is go get it now!!
I honestly don't think there is anything left to say about Chris Barnes as a narrator, that I haven't said before! He doesn't just tell a story, he gives it life, he portrays emotion and the tenseness that people feel perfectly. He always captures me from the start and never fails to deliver.

A tragic reality, but a damn good book
"Almost none of it happened.", That is how Kit Power leads us into Godbomb. As the story went on, I wanted to believe this. However I cannot. Sure, the people, places, and names are all fictitious, but the carnage is not. The line between faith and evidence can both protect and destroy humanity. Godbomb is a thrilling illustration of that fact. Read it. Take from it what you will. You will take SOMETHING from it. That is why Godbomb should not be missed.
A Powerful Story I Listened To At The Wrong Time
This one's a toughie for me to review. I guess I'll point out that three stars is a good rating, and according to Goodreads metrics it indicates that I liked the book, which is true enough, but I was also slightly let down in the end, which prevents me from going any higher than three stars. Little of this disappointment, though, has to do with the material or Kit Power, who proves himself to be a very capable author and one I plan on reading more of in the future. Rather, I think some of the disappointment stems from my own expectations and mood, and both of these issues are entirely on me.
