My personal Favorite Sarah Weeks book!

This book is not like any other I've read, Pie, Honey, and So B. It all have someone special who died of dies, but in all of them you get really connected to the main Character.

I love simple as it seems

It is very interesting because you never really knew what was going on because you always standing on your heels like what's going to happen next what's going to happen next it's just so very very entertaining and if you like I'm in the book myself and I really think all you people out there will enjoy it because it's just a great book that the mystery of how they become best friends and then they get angry at each other but still figure it out it's just still touches my heart and I love it I hope you get it.

A Gift

Item was bought as a gift so I don't know exactly how they feel about it.

Item came in time and recipient appeared to like the item.

There should really be a category for gifts when leaving feedback because it makes it really hard to come up with something when you don't know what the person thought but you need to keep writing to fill up space.

A to Z Mysteries

My 7 year old grandson loves this series. He can read by himself or we can read it together. I even like the stories myself. They kind of remind me of the old Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys. They are good for the younger kids and even the olderones like it.

Asked too much of me

Its Separation Day and 12-year old Goldie is finally going to be separated from her parents and guardians. Literally separated. For in the town of Jewel, where the most important value is safety, children are always chained to a parent or guardian during the day and tied to the bedpost at night. And when they do something wrong, as Goldie is prone to do regularly, theyre put in heavy punishment chains.

This year the Grand Protector has lowered the separation age from 16 to 12 because she believes that Jewel is much safer than it used to be. But her brother, the Fugleman, and his henchmen, the Blessed Guardians, have conspired to ruin this years Separation Day and to keep the kids in chains. But Goldie escapes and that means her parents have to go to the dungeons. Can Goldie stay free and get her parents out of captivity, too?

Goldie ends up at a strange place called the Museum of Dunt where, it turns out, they were expecting her. The basement of the Museum is the last stronghold of some of the things the original Blessed Guardians, 200 years ago, protected the children from war, famine, plague, and dangerous animals. The Museum is starting to stir because its sentient and it senses trouble coming. The job of the Museum keepers and its obvious that Goldie is being groomed as a keeper is to make sure the museum stays calms so the bad things cant escape again. I listened to the auidobook version of Lian Tanners Museum of Thieves with my 10-year old daughter, Tali. Tali enjoyed the story and was entertained by Claudia Blacks animated narration. However, I found it difficult to become absorbed in Tanners story because I just couldnt suspend disbelief. I found myself constantly thinking that would never happen or these adults are too stupid to live. I read a lot of speculative fiction, so I am used to suspending disbelief, but Museum of Thieves asked too much of me.

My four-year old boy absolutely loves this story. It's the only one out of dozens of audiobooks that he asks for anymore.

What made the experience of listening to Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder the most enjoyable?

Don't be turned off by the potty-humor. This is a VERY good story for both adults and kids to listen to together. In someways, it's an amazing story about how kids and adults can share an amazing moment together. My son couldn't wait to listen to this! He would actually get up early before school and want to listen to it while eating breakfast (and he hates getting up early). Listen to this with your kid on a speaker and you will share a great story.

What did you like best about this story?

The narrator had an amazing ability to switch voices between characters. Dr. Procter had the most amazing "wobbly" voice that was pure fun to listen to.

What about William Dufriss performance did you like?

GREAT voice! He made a good story GREAT!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's about 4 hours. This is a bit much for a single sitting, but maybe in a long car trip. If not, don't despair and just find a couple of days in a row to listen to it.

Disappointing

From reviews I read I thought this book would be a "Boxcar Children" or "Nobody's Girl" type story, with the children living on their own for the summer and devising ways to survive. That was always my favorite type of story as a child. However, I was so disappointed with the book that I never finished it. The characters were flat, their adventures dull, too many descriptions of boring things. It just didn't satisfy.
