Emotionally charged

Wow! Emotionally charged love story. Great love story of a military dog handler coming home with his service dog, meeting the girl of his dreams. Romantic

A light reading book for an evening.

Not as in depth as her other books, but a good read on a cold, wintery night.

Nice short story. Well produced.

If you are wanting a short, clean story this fits the bill. The story is well told by the narrator (Dawn Kingheart). She easily places your mind in this Amish world with its intricate layers. Well worth the few dollars I paid for it.

A good snapshot of life in a small country town

This book was a good portrayal of life in a small country town. Believable characters especially how narrow minded some could be. I grew up knowing of farmers that would drive their prize ram in the front seat, whilst the wife sat in the back, and yes the CWA is really like that and provide amazing food! No one can make a 6 egg sponge with passionfruit icing like an older country woman! Such a shame I have to wait for the next book to have a resolution to the story.

saving grace

Just finished this book, a first for me with this Author, had a great story, great characters, and it all fizzled out, not finishing of any part of the story, the buttons, could have been a great part of the story, but still in the cupboard, and introducing a new character 6 pages before the end,

never had that before.

Is there another coming out and this is Book One of a Series, would like to have been informed about that before spending so much on a book.

A Very Different Story- and a Good One

This book shows the skill of this writer. The elements are very basic. Small town country setting with small time inhabitants. Divorce, genuine friendship, difficult families, and just maybe love, drive the journey of chasing a dream and of making it happen against the odds. What makes the story so riveting is that the people are so very real as anyone with a small town upbringing will relate to instantly. A really good read

Four Stars

A heart warming saga.

Ready to move on!

This is a nice simple story about a woman who was ready to move on and make a better life for herself and 'Grace'. Take notice of the jar of buttons...but no real conclusion to this! I would have loved to counted the amount of 'having a cuppa' in this tale.

Read it!

Just when you thought the couldn't be a billionaire plot you hadn't read, along comes Sierra Rose whose imagination seems to know no bounds. Also read The Billionaires fake girlfriend, another trio of good writing and wonderful characters. Read it!

What an ending!

Rose and Dylan are the fairytale story. The snarkiness of Rose made me love her so much. Dylan her childhood friend was her perfect match.

You will love this series. Read it in order!!

Only got a few pages in...

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I could only listen to a few pages. I hated her voice. I got this audiobook because I could listen at work and it was free with an Audible trial. I am going to go back to Amazon and buy the Kindle version.

Love ? With limits!

Love this book and book 1 BUT if I'd known it was a cliffhanger I'd not bought or started until all 3 were released! I'm so frustrated how long to the finale! I listen to first and did not feel like I was left hanging and totally thought book 2 was going to be about Mathew Damin's brother but NOPE!

OMG

Wow just about covers this book. Can't wait for the next. I find both main characters interesting and lacking at the same time. They both need to do some growing to make this work. I can't wait to see if they do or not. They are both so stubborn and hard headed. Definitely kept me on my toes.

Heather's not against the idea of dating, and she certainly loves the professor's daughter, Lissa...but whenever she and the professor are in the same room sparks fly as they spar.

But perhaps there's a chance that the sparks aren't really two people who can't get along, but rather are the sparks of two people that could learn to get along very well indeed with a little nudge from their three matchmaking cupids!

Members Reviews:

Sweet Story

I really liked this one, sweet and, well, if not simple, then maybe knowing what is always true about Nana Vancy and words is enough.

Four Stars

Nice read

Another happy ending!

Nothing better than a happy ending! Very good series. I would like to have the Silver Bells portrayed as a little more mysterious and humorous.

Holly Does It Again

Holly Jacobs has continued the Salo series with yet another fun visit with Nanny Vancy. This time, she is playing matchmaker to a single father and a preschool teacher. The best part of this series is the delightful characters. If you enjoyed the wonderful family matriarch in previous books, you'll enjoy her here.

Fun and Entertaining

"Everything But a Mother" by Holly Jacobs

Per usual, Jacobs delivers an entertaining and fun story of love, friends, family and community. I hope she never stops writing such novels. I'm always thoroughly entertained with her stories.

Everything But A Dog, loved it!

A few weeks ago I picked up a book everyone was talking about. It moved so slowly, the story just lagged. It picked up in the middle, but I hated the ending. I needed something to make me feel better after that ending. I remembered the book I bought on my Kindle a few weeks ago, Everything but a Dog. I've read other Holly Jacob books and really liked them, so why not? I started reading and didn't stop until I finished, with tears in my eyes. I loved it!!!! It had everything the other book didn't and more!

A radio DJ interviews an odd sort of woman, who then introduces her to a special needs dog. This dog will capture your heart, she did mine. The story tells how a special needs dog, a man and a woman all come together. They all had special needs, just like each of us do, maybe physical, maybe emotional, maybe something else. Together they met each other's needs.

It's a light hearted story, a fast read and a delightful one! If you like dogs and a bit of romance, you have to read Everything but a Dog. Holly wrote this with a sense of humor, which I really liked. Be ready to fall in love with a furry little friend that needed a forever home.

Delightfully Entertaining

"Everything But a Dog" by Holly Jacobs 5-stars for sure!

Another delightfully entertaining romantic novel in the series. I'm truly sorry to see that this is the last in the series that has kept me entertained through several "Everything But..." novels. I'd hoped that it would just continue on into infinity!

I hope Jacobs continues to write similar novels in the future. I think she's great writer, with an easy, enjoyable and entertaining use of langauge skills. I probably shouldn't say it here, but her new mystery series novels are just not the same entertainment for me.

Still, I'll be checking out anything and everything that she writes in the future.

Patrick

Uncomplicated story

Tamed by the Sheikh

Very bad language!!!!

Too bad for me !!!

Not enough of a story!!!!!

I will never get another!!!

Disappointing non-ending

I love Emily Tilton's books but this one's non-ending really irks me. Very unsatisfying non-HEA, or so it seems to me.

It was reassuring to note how well the Institute staff watched over Beatrice when she was in questionable situations over seas.

On the plus side was the very well done work of Cliff Bergen, one of E Tilton's best narrators.
