Great storyline, but I will not be completing this series.

The story gets better and better. Very engaging characters and storyline BUT the story ends with another cliffhanger at just 18% into the book! The rest is a bonus novel - 1st installment to another series. Marata Eros is a great storyteller, and I don't mind series and cliffhangers, but if I'm buying a book, the story I'm buying should take up the majority of the book, NOT 80% worth of something else! As much as I like the storyline and want to find out what will happen to Farren and Mick, I am not willing to pay $2.99 for each additional installment for the rest of this series if all I'm getting is just a few pages (less than 20%) of a book! According to Amazon, that's an additional $22.93 for the remaining 7 books of this 10 book series.

What a flawlessly written, dark, emotional, gut wrenching, heart breaking, pulse pounding, tormenting web Marata Eros has woven. These 94 pages of The Token 3 have left me shatteredââ.so shattered. I turn, and turn, and turn the pages through teary eyes, hoping with everything that I have that there is one more chapterââ..Just. One. More. Chapter. Iâm not sure that my heart can wait until March. Not that I have a choice, but Iâm quite certain the anticipation of The Token 4 is going to put me over the edge. This series, so far, is just that good!! Another must read!!

Oh My

It has been a month since I read The Token 2, so I had to go back and read the last few pages to catch up on where The Token 3 picks up. Faren wakes up in a hospital after collapsing in front of Thorn. She discovers an uneasy alliance with Thorn, and finds he's not quite the creep she thought he was. Then, her apartment is broken into. Cop Tagger enters the scene and adds to the confusion in her already confused life. There's something about Tagger that she doesn't like. This installment reveals a few more secrets to help us understand the characters. The ending is a major cliffhanger. Will Mick and Faren get together at long last? We have to wait until book 4 comes out in March! I don't know if I can wait that long.

Speechless.

Holy. Crap.

This book was beyond any expectation. It's intense, and deep, and RAW.

This book finally gives the MORE than you've been craving from the first two books.

Dandelionn Wine Book Blog

I absolutely LOVED this book. Cowboys are not generally my type of hero I much prefer cops, firefighters, military men, CEOs, even the nerdy geeky guys. This one though, the focus is much more on the relationship than anything to do with Adam's job, plus bull riding is much different from ranching. I'm a sucker for bad boys who have hearts of gold and Adam fits that to a T. Seriously I'm just in love with Adam, he was just such an amazing character. I loved the lack of tragic back story that was hanging over his head like a black cloud, that's one trope I HATE, and it was so, so refreshing not to see it. Though honestly, I can't recall many of Katee's books that I've read having that trope. Sure he had some bad things from his past that still bother him but he doesn't let them get in the way with living his life.

And of course I have to talk about Jules. I loved her too. She owns a cafe with cats! I did cringe slightly because I wondered how she kept them out of the kitchen and away from the food, but I'm OCD and have a huge problem with germs. So. But Jules is amazing, she is a little on the inexperienced side, she's just had s***ty exes *coughGrantcough* who wouldn't know how to please a woman if they had thorough instruction. Her and Adam have chemistry from the get go and it is quite steamy! I love Jules positive, sunny attitude and the fact that she tries to make everyone around her feel better and lifts their moods.

This definitely has to be my favorite of Katee's books, I had the hardest time putting it down to sleep, I just wanted to keep reading them! I really can't wait to read the other two books in this series.

COMPLEXITY OUTWEIGHS ROMANCE

The plot became very intricate the deeper the chapters until it became work to keep it all straight. I listen while I do mundane chores and found I had to re-listen to chapters to keep up. The romance was charming and warm but not the focus of the book.

The narrators did a good job with consistent voices but at times he spoke so fast that I actually looked at my output speed thinking I had it set faster than 1X.

The story was good, but it was to complicated to boost the total review to a 4.

Strong Protective Males and Women They Protect

I loved the narrators voice although I didn't always get the emotion I would except...timing was great and variations on voices excellent.

This is two romances in one... I actually liked both strong males...I am so tired of the 'manwhores' and enjoy men who are still sexual but discriminating...it means more. Also sick and tired of cheating when they are serious about a woman.

I liked the suspense and mystery in the story. It wasn't angsty so I was on edge...but an enjoyable listen....not incredible was worth the listen or read.

Not Sure About This

This book was given to me via audiobook boom in exchange for an unbiased review. There were a lot of characters and plot twist. Cole and Madaline are caught up in a battle with vicious mobsters. Too many changes occur as the story goes forward. It could be a good story if possible. The narrator was good though.

Liked It But Hard to Follow!

I enjoyed Nessa Connor's MC series, and was ready to dive right into the Seals of Honor; however, there were times I felt a little lost, and have to agree with the other reviews regarding the complexity. Normally, I love stories with multiple characters, POV's, and plot twists but due to the complexity, there were times I actually had to rewind the story to be sure I grasped what was being said or done.

Griffin Murphy did a great job with the narration. Normally listen to audiobooks at 1.25 the speed to reduce the long pause between words and sentences; however, with Mr. Murphy narrations, I was able to listen to the story at the normal speed. In addition to the quicker pace, Murphy used various tones, and inflections to convey the different emotions and characters.

I received this audio in exchange for an honest review, and overall storyline was good.

3 Happy Endings!

I have a Kindle copy of this book but decided to try the Romance Package, I'm so glad I did!

There were a few surprises in these three novellas. They are complicated love stories with great characters and I wasn't always sure of the expected happy ending. I enjoyed each story in this collection and look forward to reading/listening to the other three seasons.

The narrators were wonderful!

*I'm listening to the Year of Weddings Novella Collection Book 2 out of order. I must catch up soon. I love these collections!

To Have and to Hold

All three books were as sweet and entertaining as can be. Trusting That God is good no matter what made each story seem so real. The author's writing styles were all amazing and held my attention throughout the stories. I recommend this book with three sweet love stories.

Really bad dialogue

*A little spoiler in review*

This was a struggle to finish. I had to fast forward though dialogue, this was a first for me. I got so tired of the you're perfect, you're so wonderful you're my everything thing conversations. Don't get me started on I'll always be here you(epic fail). There was no real consequences for bad behavior it was instant understanding and forgiving. There was a good storyline here but it just got cheesy, annoying and emotionally inconsistent.

A wonderful Melody it is.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was packed with so much in such a short period of time. So well written. I enjoyed every part of it. You don't often find shot stories that have such great plots as this book does. Usually there's not enough time to fit it all in, in a short read but somehow R.E. Hargrave made it work. A great enjoyable mini listen. I loved the characters and felt like I really got to know them. When the book was done I came away feeling like I had read a whole book not just a short story. I highly recommend this book.

Perfect!

What a great story! and the perfect narrator. I loved listening to this story while working or driving. It's well written and well narrated.

RE never disappoints me.

Captivating

This is my first R.E. Hargrave book, but certainly will not be my last. I love military romance stories, and this one is definitely shows how love and fate work together. Marshall meets Melody the night before shipping off to Afghanistan. Little did he know how life changing this one night stand encounter would be. Years later, he finally gets the chance to reignite his relationship with her, and find how life changing it was for her as well. Lots of angst and hot scenes bring this story together.

La Petite More narrates this book. His narration gives the book warmth and emotion with the deep bass sound, you cannot help but be captivated by the story.

Captivating Second Chance Romance

This is a stunningly beautiful, and engaging second chance romance.

Marshall just earned his wings and is excited to tame the wild blue yonder in his first assignment in Iraq. He is young and cocky and looking for the perfect one night stand to send him off on his first tour. What he didn't expect was Melody. She was gorgeous, funny, smart and sassy. She was easy to talk to, and as Unchained Melody played in the background, she became imprinted in his heart and mind. He ships out the next morning and for ten years he is haunted by the memory of the night he spent with her. Marshall, at his core, is a sweet, southern gentleman. He tries to deal with his regret of losing touch with her in daring feats in the air and women and booze on the ground. This short story is expertly told in flashback sequence. His spiral into the dark depths and his struggle to come out of it, all the while dreaming of Melody, keep us engaged and wondering if they will ever meet again. The narrator, La Petite Mort, did a wonderful job setting the scenes and conveying the emotions that Marshall endured. Even though this is a quick and short story, it has a depth that makes it totally satisfying. I definitely recommend this book.

How to Hold a Grudge for Dummies

There were many parts of Scrimmage that were entertaining and humorous. However, Nathan's ability to hold a grudge against Tolly for more than 10 years was annoying and distracting.

Yes, football coach Nathan (early 30s) held a grudge because Tolly lied about her age when she was 16 years old. Tolly did not commit a violent felony; like every teen who ever lived, she told what she thought was a harmless lie.

So when Nathan spent most of the book blaming Tolly for ruining his life, I was too aggravated to enjoy the good portions of the story. Nathan needed to take responsibility for his own actions; playing a contact sport can cause injuries and death.

I loved how Tolly became a foster parent when the need arose, but wished she found a more mature and caring man than the self-absorbed Nathan.

Love love love

Both books so far I just love kept me laughing in tears and then sometimes just tears. Hoping for more in this series for sure
