Excellent and just gets better

If you are up to this book, you are hooked. I actually slowed down the listening to this book as at the time the next book had not been narrated yet. Oliver Hembrough does an excellent job. The characters seem real and not two dimensional making these books beautiful stories. Loved the TV series and I am sure the latest remake is excellent but these books are a delight to listen to.

Brilliant, but when will The Angry Tide be on Audibe?

As with the previous books this is a great story that superbly captures eighteenth century life and Cornwall in particular. In is brilliantly brought to life by Oliver Hembrough who manages to perfectly capture the voices of all the main characters.

In the Poldark series books 5,6&7 go together in close sequence (they were written together within a few years in the 1970s and film as a series by the BBC) so I can't understand why book 7, The Angry Tide, is not available to enjoy.

The series just gets better and better!

The narrator does an excellent job of bringing the characters in these books alive.

Each book is more gripping than the previous one!

Very frustrating that books 7 and onwards are not available in audio format. Come on Audible we want more from the Poldark series by Oliver Hembrough!

Engrossing storyline, brilliantly narrated

Another great narration by Oliver Hembrough. During this novel, I often forgot that it was a single narrator and found myself in the midst of a crowd. Mr Hembrough has become a master of his craft!

The storyline continues to fascinate, providing a window into historic society, culture and politics. The backdrop is the French Revolution and the rise of Napoleon, in the context of day to day subsistence in Cornwall

More please ...

great

another great book. wish audible would get the rest as now i.m left hanging. aaaaaggghhhh

Love 'Southern Sexy' and his 'Dirty South'

Embry is picking up the pieces from her past and is finally living the life she is meant to live. She is focusing on school to become a successful Lawyer. She isn't interested in dating but when she meets sexy southern gentleman, Luke Brody, she throws all her rules out the window. They are a perfect match and it ignites a passion they both hadn't seen coming. That is until secrets threaten to destroy what they have started to build together. The narrators did a wonderful job setting the scenes and helping me to get lost in the story. The ending was emotional and left me wanting more. I can't 't wait to see what happens next for Embry and Morgan.

Overly dramatic and underwhelming

Would you try another book from R.E. Hunter and/or Stephanie Rose and Jonathan Meza ?

I really felt this book had potential just under the surface, but too many things interfered with where the story could go. Has the Author made a different choice in the stories direction I feel like I could have enjoyed it more. I would like to read a different series or standalone by the author. The narration was excellent and was what helped me through the story more than anything.

Would you ever listen to anything by R.E. Hunter again?

I would if it was a different book without these characters.

What about Stephanie Rose and Jonathan Meza s performance did you like?

They did a great job with pacing and vocals, but the story was a slow paced story and is what pulled away from their performances.

Could you see Undone being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. This book had a lot of over elaborating of things, most that are un necessary of being described in such detail. The characters were hard to connect with, and I really tried to, believe me. Embry wasn't very likable. It felt like she took things that most people would deal with and move on and made them into these big elaborate productions of drama, and pity parties. Luke was sweet, but I couldn't relate to how he fell so hard for Embry when she was always so back and forth with him, and didn't really display anything that would seem appealing to him from my perspective.

Any additional comments?

I struggled to get through this book.

A $0.99 read, okay story, too many missed opportunities, and weak love scenes

I feel like this person has never heard an American speak. Words most Americans don't say:

Flat - apartment

Pram - stroller

Mad - crazy

I like how the friend was engage to Dan, married John, and then suddenly was back with Dan, because the author forgot the character's name.

I also like the fact that as these characters are all in Vegas, no one including the antagonist used Annaya's blackness as a weapon. In fact considering the lengths the antagonist was willing to go to, it seems like a totally missed opportunity to not address that issue in this story. Sure it's been done, but here it would have given the book a little more substance. I feel like in the author's attempt to avoid this issue she took the easiest way out and the book suffers for it.

Annaya has a job that she never goes to, despite being determined to accept nothing from Jack. No company in its right mind would keep an employee that takes off work constantly and on short notice. Her life outside her relationship is unrealistic.

The love scenes lack passion, and we're pretty much over before one realized they even had sex. The ending was rushed and I feel like the character's took the high road because the author didn't feel like writing in any action that directly deals with the actions of the antagonist.

Overall this was a weak book. The writing reminds me of how bad 50 Shades was. Like writing a whole story set a place the author has never been, using the wrong vernacular, and not addressing certain issues that area would consider important. I also felt the book was repetitive and wasteful of word count. This would have been better as a quick read of 189 pages instead 400 fluff pages. The price should stay at $0.99, I think I would have been more disappointed if I'd paid full price.

Dont waste your time

How is someone a month from getting married and then 6 weeks later still a month out from getting married. The writer didnt keep up with their own time line in the story. So much dialogue and minimal effort at giving a description of anything.

Im not going to even bother reading the rest of this book.

Wonderful read...

I enjoyed this book immensely. Besides a few issues, which I will elaborate on, I found this a delightful book to read.

Pros-- the main characters were wonderful.

Cute and sweet!

This is the second book in the Love Letters series and it was a very good read. The emotions flew from the page and the words provided a clear picture of what was going on. Unfortunately you always knew what was coming next in the plot but the over all story was one of immense enjoyment which made me want to rush out and buy the next one in the series.

Wish the series could continue on audible

The narrator was great, especially with the accents and different tones of voice for the characters. I have read the remainder of the series and wish it would continue on audible.

Love Story

This book, the first in a series, focuses on Mia who just graduated college and going to work in the family business, a company owned by two families. The families have always expected Mia to marry the boy from the other family, Dom. Now that Dom is ready to stake his claim on Mia, she discovers this was the family's plan her whole life. Thier flirtation and foreplay are only outweighed by Dom's sexy alpha moves. This is a great story especially in audio... can't wait to listen to the next book. While this couple gets thier HEA, some family drama is still to be explored.

Awesome Read!

I can't wait to see what happens. I am also proud of Vi for th e decisions she makes for herself.

Members Reviews:

Honest review.. .great read of a tragic story..

If you could sum up The Years Between in three words, what would they be?

Tragic, Revenge and romance

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Years Between?

The character of Will does a complete change. However, we see new sides to Will. He looses control a little and as a person invested in this journey of these people it is nice to see how he grows and shapes as a "Normal" person.

What about Brittany Pressleys performance did you like?

There are always pros and cons to every performance regardless of the person performing. She does a great job making the character have their own sound, tone and characteristics. She sometimes sounds seductive when it is the most tragic parts of the book.

However, she keeps a great pace, tone, and speaks clearly. She does a great job overall.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Like the first book, this series has many emotions. You will laugh, cry, be angry, and perhaps all emotions at once. These books are nicely structured and presented well by the author.

The content of the book can easily be graphic and hard to endure. However, the sensitive topics are presented as tastefully as it can be without taking away from the story.

Any additional comments?

These books are not for the faint of heart. If you easily offended by swearing, adult content, and graphic material probably not the book for you. However, if you can invest yourself into the characters and understand their story along with their hardships you will be rewarded with a great book.

Difficult topics include but not limited to: Rape, murder, suicide, revenge....

"We both want this so badly. I can feel it resonating between us like the hot pull of our first attraction, tangible and intense."

After lies and betrayal almost destroy their marriage, Dean and Olivia West reignite their blissful passion. The medieval history professor and his cherished wife are determined to fix their mistakes and fall madly in love all over again. But when Dean is forced back into a feud with his parents and siblings, he and Liv must battle events that could damage them in ways they had never imagined.

The love story continues

As with all marriages there are ups and downs. It is no different for Dean and Olivia. What they go through in this story is nothing some of us have experienced. Not only do they have to deal with Deans not so loving family but also with their own personal heartache. Find out how their strong bond helps them survive the most painful experiences a couple can go through.

Im in love with this couple. The everyday dilemmas they face, their unconditional love for each other its refreshing how their strong bond keeps them together no matter what. Another most enjoyable read. Thank you Nina.

Even hotter than the book!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, to anyone who is a romance book junkie like me. I've only begun my foray into the audible book world, but I can highly recommend it for every one of your favorites.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Allure?

So many. The coat closet scene at the beginning was quite memorable. When Dean learns about the miscarriage and he is beyond destroyed with guilt, it was quite intense hearing it as opposed to just reading it.

Which scene was your favorite?

Probably the scene where Liv and Dean make love the first time and she loses her virginity after all their waiting. Dean was so patient with her and she was so scared and aroused at the same time.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Most definitely when Dean learned about the miscarriage. After the whole thing with Liv and Tyler, Dean always felt he'd let Liv down and didn't care for her like he should. He was so wracked with guilt and the narrator, Jay Crow, exuded the fear and frustration that filled Dean so well.

Any additional comments?

Just that I loved the narration of this book, both male and female.
