    Publisher's Summary:
Life is going pretty well for Derek LaVigne. He's playing professional hockey in Los Angeles where hockey is barely on the radar, and this allows him to live in relative anonymity. Derek's world is tilted on its axis when he's traded to the Detroit Wheels. Not only is this one of the top teams in the National Hockey League, he'll also be playing in a city that lives and breathes hockey. It sounds like a dream come true, but soon enough it becomes clear it isn't.
The reason for Derek's change of heart is Trevor Ladouceur. Five years ago Derek and Trevor were linemates on Team Canada at the World Junior Championship. They were inseparable both on and off the ice and became known as the Wonder Twins. After winning the gold medal, they slept together. Trevor was gone the next morning, and they haven't spoken since. Now they're together again, and the expectation is for the Wonder Twins to help Detroit win the Stanley Cup. Much to Derek's dismay, he realizes he's falling in love with Trevor all over again.

    Teammates, linemates, roommates even mates
Derek and Trevor were two hockey players who played so well as juniors that their Team Canada won the Gold Medal at the World Junior Championship and they both went on to the NHL.
Of course, that night after they won the gold they slept together but in the morning when Derek awoke he was alone. Trevor's gay panic and abandonment left a deeply wounded Derek. It's now 5 years later. Derek is playing hockey in L.A. and has been able to explore his sexuality a bit because hockey isn't really on anyone's radar out there.
But he's been traded to the league leading Detroit team where Trevor is playing (and dating the local weather girl). Detroit's coach wants to "reunite the wonder twins" but in a city where hockey players are famous, how will Derek deal with finding his place on this much better team, resolve his issues with his old flame and still be true to himself?
D.K. Dunn has done a great job here. The story is compelling, the hockey details are spot on, the Michigan setting is exactly right (even down to a casual mention of Euchre) and the two guys seem realistic and both are sympathetically drawn. This is one of the best M/M sports centered books I've encountered.
However don't go into this expecting anything too steamy. No one even gets laid in the first 15 chapters. This is a sweet tale of coming-out and redemption and of re-establishing a relationship that was ended prematurely. But don't ever forget, this is also a hockey story. The MC's may be athletes but with all the scrapes and bruises and brittle machismo attitudes that the sport is known for.
Michael Pauley does the narration here and does a great job of voicing Derek from whose POV the story is told. He gets the attitude as well and the pacing during key sports scenes works really well.
*** Note: I received a copy of this audiobook for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest and impartial review ***
Great narration, not a great story
Derek is gay and plays for the NHL team in LA. He gets traded to Detroit for a chance at the Stanley cup.

Sabrina Duluth has a tidy life. She loves her editing job and owns her own home. On weekends she dabbles in BDSM. Nothing could possibly disrupt her perfect world...until she takes a class at the local college.

Sexual tension reigns until the summer after the class ends. They could ignore their attraction and continue with their separate lives. Or not. One brief encounter tips the scales and changes the course of their lives.
Sabrina is a strong woman with definite opinions. Conner is a firm Dom with specific demands. Toss in a plethora of external forces seemingly derived to keep the two of them apart, and they are left with frayed nerves and frequent shouting matches.
Who is fighting to keep them apart? And why? Is their blossoming relationship strong enough to overcome extreme adversity?
    Members Reviews:
    well...
This was a bit disappointing . The story was inconsistent for a Dom/fighter type who tells the main character "she scared the hell out of him "? The narrator's voice as a male was , high and nasally which made it impossible to believe she was this BDSM/MMA fighter. And at one point I was convinced he might be actually Austin Powers as he said the word "baby" after every sentence he said to the main character! uggh! sorry not worth the $$$$.
    Want
I love Becca's books. the only issue I have is with the performance. Her voice sounds robotic and she missed parts or repeated parts of the story.
    Love the story
I love the story and the characters in this series but the narrators male voice sounds like a kid...this was really hard to get past.
    Another great Becca Jameson book
Book 5 is just as enticing as the previous 4 were. There is a good story line, good characterization and plenty of DM relationship. Can't wait for book 6. In the meantime I will listen again to 1 through 5.
    Professor!!
What did you love best about Want?
    The college professor.
What other book might you compare Want to and why?
The other books in this series.
    Which scene was your favorite?
    When she sees him fight.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes!
    Any additional comments?
All these books have some mention of fighting but mostly BDSM.

    Great light summer reads
I am totally enjoying this series of books (Spring Brides, Summer Brides, Autumn Brides and Winter Brides awaiting me), especially because they are shorter novellas written from the perspective of practicing modern Christians. The characters seem real, the situations are likewise realistic and the resolutions leave me feeling positive. A great choice for light summer reading.
    Loved each story
I really enjoyed each story in this collection. I had never read a book by Katie Ganshert. I was really impressed and will be looking for more books by her. Sometimes I wish these novellas were a little longer. In this collection though I felt there was enough history between the couples that it made sense for them to to fall in love. Each story didn't have a rushed ending.
    Five Stars
The stories were nice and I enjoyed reading them.
    Short
I don't think I'm cut out to read novellas. The story is so short, and just when I fall in love with the characters, it's over!! I would have loved for the first two to be full length novels!
    Good Christian Romance
Some stories better than others. I wish that one was longer. One ended too soon and felt just left you hanging.

Dean Barclay had nothing to do with my decision to flee my old life, but he is 100 percent of the reason I vowed to never look back.
I've never forgotten how it felt to follow Dean - dangerous, daring, determined - away from the crowd and climb into his beat-up old Trans Am. I was 16 and gloriously alive for the first time. When I felt his hand cover my leg and move upward, it was over. I was his. Forever.
Until I left. Him, my mom, and the trailer park. Without so much as a good-bye.
Now Dean's back, crashing uninvited into my carefully cultivated, neat little lawyerly life. Eight years behind bars have turned him rougher and bigger - and more sexually demanding than any man I've ever met. I can't deny him anything - and that just might end up costing me everything.

    A Pleasant Suprise
I have to admit, I wasn't expecting this read to be as good as it was. Uncivilized had SO many great reviews but I had to return it. Couldn't finish the listen. But this was great, the writing was awesome. That what makes it five stars even if the performance wasn't the same. The reader flow was kind of stilted. She does a great Illinois, or Chicago area accent. Also needs to work on her male voices. But otherwise she didn't take away from the read. She also was able to convey characters emotions through her read. I will be getting next book in series.

    Publisher's Summary:
When her disastrous marriage ends in the most humiliating way, Meg Hanson doesn't know what to do or who to turn to. Unhappy with her life as it was and unwilling to become what her mother and sister envision, she retreats to the little Appalachian town of Preston's Mill, the place where her father was raised. Meg has promised herself six months away from the influences of home to find out who she is and what she really wants out of life.
Her Great Aunt Annie doesn't hold with such nonsense, but she does believe that good food, hard work and fresh country air have the power to heal the soul and she sees in Meg a soul that belongs to the mountain.
Coming from wealth and privilege, Meg isn't sure at first what to make of a place where much of your wardrobe comes from Gorton's Farm Supply and the only coffee available is what's brewed at the Downtown Café. However, it doesn't take long for her to become attached to the people of Preston's Mill with their blunt honesty and strange speech or to reluctantly fall for the boy who kissed her under the apple tree when she was only 10. He's grown into an intriguing man with problems of his own.
JT Preston is burdened with his family's past sins, sins that prevent him from seeking the life he's always envied and longed for. Annie thinks this is nonsense, too, and sets about bringing Meg and JT together, but nothing is ever as easy as it sounds.
When a coal company makes plans to begin mining the mountain, Meg and JT find themselves in the middle of the battle between those who consider it progress and those who see it as the end of a way of life. Greed rears its head, people are hurt and lives are endangered, Meg's most of all.

    Prestons Mill
Meg returns to her fathers home town to try to forget her former life married to an atrocious man.She moves in with her Aunt Annie, who puts her to work to get her mind off her former life. She's given herself 6 months to get it together but decides she may need to stay longer after re meeting her first 'kiss'.There are plenty of misunderstandings, lost moments, etc. It is a good story narrated by Leah Frederick, who does a nice job.
I was given this book free for an honest review.
Big City Trouble in a Small Town
This book kept up a steady quick pace of twists and turns from the beginning to the end, but no emotion or experience of chemistry was lost between the characters.
Meg Hanson has been dealt a blow to the life she thought she was leading, but it was a gift because it took her out of a place of denial and complacency and forced her to rejoin the world of living, breathing and feeling people.
She was encouraged to go back to her father's small town to find herself and managed to do much much more.
I loved the interaction between Meg and her aunt as well as the rest of the characters in the town of Preston's Mill. The author really made me feel like I'd come to visit for a few months, but didn't have to deal with the danger coming to the land.
This was definitely a pleasant listening experience and it set the atmosphere for another great listen in Changing Times.

    Members Reviews:
Story good, narration slurred and plodding
Interesting story but the narration was strange and slurred. Some parts drug on too long. Ended up rushing through the story. Narration did not match storyline.
    Slow story but interesting premise
This story was set up well. Patrick Connelly got custody of his sixteen year old son Jay after he was attacked by some hatemongers. Jay was using graffiti and art to cope with his pain and trauma. However, his graffiti was getting him arrested for vandalism and defacing property.
Ken Atkins, a juvenile probation officer, was assigned to monitor Jay and give a recommendation to the court as to whether Jay should be removed from Patricks care. In working together to find out how to best help Jay, Patrick and Ken developed feelings for each other. They both resisted dealing with it until they just couldnt fight the attraction anymore.
I thought the pace of the story was slow and didnt really build up any angsty or momentum. The characters could have been developed better. I just didnt feel like the actual story delivered what the blurb set up in my head. I didnt enjoy this audiobook much and struggled to finish it. Normally, I like this authors work (Least Likely Partnership was more enjoyable) and there is usually a character I really connect with. I dont I would read this one again.
    Loved it
Loved it, except for a few things. The majority of the story centers around Patrick & Ken connecting & I really enjoyed that. The drama at the docks was pretty secondary and the conclusion of that was over with in very short order. What happened with Jay took awhile to come out & when you find out the entire story, it was just brutal. I know this was not his story but I would have liked if there was somewhere for him to safely do his graffiti art & stop getting arrested. The other issue I had was Patrick none stop blaming himself for everything that happens just because he is gay. Boyfriend, get over yourself. Bad things happen to good people whether they are gay or not. I so hope this turns into a series as I would love to see how they are later on down the road.

Wonderful Addition to an Awesome Series
This can be read as a stand alone, but much more enjoyable when the series is read in order. The main characters are both strong, capable, intelligent agents. This has a wonderful blend of action, suspense, humor, shifters, and steamy romance. There are some really cute "awww" moments, especially when Huntley and Melissa are caring for the little cubs. There are many twists to the story that made this book hard to put down. If you like your romance with a HEA at the end of the book and no cliff-hangers, you won't be disappointed with this one! I can't wait for more stories in this wonderful series!
Jaguar Pride (Heart of the Jaguar Book 4)
Huntley and Melissa are teamed up to find the mother of two cubs. They are also after the hunter that is selling jaguar's to be hunted. Huntley has feelings for Melissa, but she is with someone else. He finds out that they are not together anymore. Will they become mates? Will they find the mother jaguar alive, or will the cubs become orphans? Will they be able to stop the hunter? Buy book to find out. Great story.
    ok read
I like Terry's books but the jaguar series just don't do much for me. Unfortunately, I can't put my finger on why. Usually I can't put the books down but struggled to keep reading.
    Great sequel
Really interesting book. Good reading covers romance, intrigue, excitement, and fun. Yes it does contain murder, suspense and adventure but is not violent. Good.
    Five Stars
    Good addition to the series.

she did a fantastic job narrating the book had no trouble going to keep reading it
    Hi test testerone
If you're into super strong alpha males no comedy all high testosterone violence this is the book for you
    Good love story
    Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the first. I am kinda over the malewhore past of some of the heros. Slade however was such a sweetheart and fell inlove so completely with Jessica. I wish that the story played out a little different. I would have liked the breakup to be shorter, with no dating other ppl (no they didn't sleep with anyone else and there was a good reason for the breakup) It would have been nice to see them work together and coming up with a plan on taking out the bad guy. I loved the funny momments, and would have liked to see more of that. I'm not looking forward to the next book with Antonio. He seems to have the same ol manwhore past attitude turned good guy. I do not like Antonio at all in this book. I haven't decided but, I may skip his story. I'm more interrested in Cain and Violet coming up in the 4th book.

    Can she move on?
Becca, Nick and Sean grew up together. Becca knew that she and Nick would always be together. That didn't happen. When Sean returned home, he brought a box for Becca from Nick. In it was the tickets to the honeymoon that he had planned for them. Becca and Sean decided that they would go ahead and take the trip together. Becca had never been out of the state. Once they are on the trip, they can't deny that there is an attraction. Becca had only ever been with Nick. Can she move on?
    Change of narrator
I prefer a female narrator. Tanya Eby is the reason I purchased book 1. I also don't want to change narrators in the middle of a series.
    Narration is fine, but glitchy
There are several instances where a sentence is repeated & at least one where part of a sentence is omitted. Narrator is otherwise good. It's more a matter of poor editing/reviewing.

    Members Reviews:
    Complex as Hell
Sinful is the first book I've read by Joan Johnston, an engrossing yet convoluted story about 2 very complex western families (complex as in you need a family tree to understand who is related to whom). There was no mention in the book's description about this being part of a series, but according the author's website Sinful is number 15.
While I enjoyed several of the female characters (smart & sassy), I didn't buy into the main plot about Connor's custody battle. As an active serviceman, Connor had the right to give temporary guardianship of his biological children to another party while retaining all of his normal parental rights. Imagine if every parent in the military could loose his/her children while serving their country - no happening!
The whole family feud seemed pretty extreme too, since it seemed to start over a nasty divorce 50+ years ago. The Flinn and Grayhawk children & grandchildren may have been easily influenced as kids but as adults in their 20s and 30s they just seemed immature, allowing 2 bitter old men to manipulate their feelings/actions. The retreat for retired veterans was a nice touch, and much more appealing than family grudges.
I did like that Eve and her sisters had interesting, non-typical jobs (wildlife photographer, smoke jumper, ranch manager) and didn't take any crap from men their age. Likewise, the brothers were generally respectful of women - no bullies, no physical violence. Maybe if I had read the first 14 books, I might have enjoyed Sinful but it was too difficult to keep track of 20+ characters who were never really introduced.
