    Publisher's Summary:
In Faefever, Karen Marie Moning returns to the shadowy Dublin Otherworld in an undeniably sexy novel her fans are feverish for.
Changed by the choices she made in order to survive, Mac no longer is the naïve, idealistic, and glamorous girl newly arrived in Dublin. Now, on a quest to find her sister's killer, she is a major player in a deadly game, but with one great advantage: she knows how to find the one thing Fae and human alike are willing to kill for - the Sinsar Dubh, an ancient book of magic so dark it corrupts anyone who touches it.
What Mac soon discovers, however, is worse than she had imagined. Surrounded by treachery, her enemies indistinguishable from her allies, she can be certain of only one thing - as All Hallows' Eve approaches, her time is running out.

    Wow!
Thats all I can say about this 3rd installment in the Fever books. I love this series. A little romance but mainly suspense and intrigue. Many more questions were answered in this book but not enough and I suppose my only complaint would be the major cliff hanger at the end. Now I will have to wait for the fourth book to be published hopefully sometime in 2009 to find out what happens to Mac (and others). It will be a long wait!
    not Highlander
I loved the Highland books, very spicy, and each book had an conclusion. I am enjoying these books but the endings leave me empty because there is none! You have to go to the next book and the next, so on. I prefer a good ending so I don't feel left hanging. Also there is so much erotic tension between the characters at least in the Highlander they would consummate their relationship in each book. I'm at the end of the third book and still allot of tension and no consummation. The books are getting very frustrating and I don't know if the next book has even been published. I'm not sure if I'll read any more of the Fever books it seams that it will go on and on with more frustration.
    Cliffhanger
Whoever sold Ms. Moning on the episode format for her "Fever" books did a disservice to her usual good writing. This is part of a book, not a whole book. Be prepared for too many rehashing reminders of plot threads from previous books, and a very irritating cliffhanger that dumps the reader in the middle of the climax. This format is better left for television, wherein an audience does not have to wait months to find out what happened.
    Good story, terrible narration
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend the written book over the audio for this installment of the series. The book is essential to understanding the next in the series.
What did you like best about this story?
I love the series, so I liked the book. Some answers to questions from previous books, but more questions arise and are left unanswered.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Joyce Bean?
Natalie Ross. Joyce Bean makes it unbearable. I listened to about half of the book and then switched to reading the rest myself. She narrates Mac like a much older woman, and all her male characters have the same croaky sound. Just a very poor choice for this book.
Was Faefever worth the listening time?
It isn't worth listening to if you can read it in print instead. I didn't finish listening to it, I finished the book in print.

Title: A Voice in the Wind
Subtitle: The Mark of the Lion, Book 1
    Author: Francine Rivers
    Narrator: Richard Ferrone
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 21 hrs and 27 mins

    Publisher's Summary:
Francine Rivers, a winner of the ECPA Gold Medallion, is a best-selling author of Christian fiction. A Voice in the Wind takes listeners into a richly imagined ancient Rome in the midst of its great decline. This heart-stirring tale of a young slave girl, torn between her love for a handsome aristocrat and her faith in God, transcends genres with its awe-inspiring power and emotional intensity.
    Critic Reviews:
"It is Ms. Rivers' faith in man and God that lifts these novels onto another plane and brings readers hope in time of darkness." (Romantic Times)
    Members Reviews:
    Wonderful book...
This book depicts the Roman era and it showed how depraved the people were without Christ in their lives. There is hope and Haddassah's character shows how we should serve one another with a servant's heart. This book does not hide the violence at all. Francine Rivers is so detailed in her writing, that I could smell the foul air, where the slaves were held in the ships. I could feel their desperation. I could feel the eternal hope in Haddassah. It was a long book, but I didn't want it to end. Be sure to read all three books in the series. I believe my husband would enjoy this book too, it isn't all about romance.
I only gave it 4 stars, because I would have liked another narrator, possibly two narrators. One for the males and one for Haddassah. He wasn't terrible though and it didn't keep me from listening.
    An truly blessed author
Nevermind that the story itself was unbelievably rich and entertaining and satisfying. Nevermind that the narrator has the deep voice that IS like a "voice in the wind". Ms. Rivers is certainly touched with the grace and love that she writes for her characters. In one work of fiction, she compellingly conveys the grace and love of the God she writes about.
    Phenomenal story!!
Great story!! I would highly recommend this to anybody who likes a love story, a action story, suspense and inspiration. Three stories that intertwine and come together at the end. The narrarator was very good, also.
Christian Fiction That Doesn't Back Down
Although I've been a Christian for most of my life, I'm almost always disappointed by Christian fiction due to it's lack of honesty. Rarely does a book shine the light of Jesus so clearly, while not denying the truth of what living in the world is really like. This story is full of wonderful characters dealing with the real issues of life in ancient Rome. We are shown the open debauchery, decadence, and brutal violence of the time very vividly by Francine Rivers, who gives us a "meaty" story that will satisfy both Christians and non-Christians alike.
The narration is weak, and if you're picky about that in an audio book, I suggest you listen to the sample for a long time before you decide to buy this book. The cast of characters is very large, and the narrator does not use much variety with his voices or accents, especially with the females. All his women have a weak, whiny quality to their voices. It took me a couple of chapters to stop being distracted by him, but eventually, the strength of the story itself was enough for me to really begin to enjoy the book.
    Outstanding
I had been given a book by Francine Rivers Years ago (I can't remember which one) and I began reading it, but became distracted and put it down.

    Not understanding the problem here....
I normally don't write reviews but I depend on them so much when selecting books I wanted to help you guys out here. Many reviewers have claimed they could not get past the narrator's female voice. While most men cannot perfect the sound of a female's voice I feel that Phil Gigante did a more than acceptable job at it. The story itself was wonderful as well. I highly recommend this one!!
    Amazingly Wonderful
I have to admit that I had a bias because the narrator is male. My bias was completely unfounded. This book was amazing; great plot, good narrator. However unpractical, you will not be disappointed purchasing this book.
    Loved It!
There's not one thing about this book I didn't like. I enjoyed the narrator, characters, and plot. I would have enjoyed it more if the final battle at the end had been expanded, but it was still a great book.
    Loved it!
Phil Gigante is a GREAT narrator. The voices of the women didn't bother me at all. The story was touching and sexy and sometimes just plain hot! Reading it in the car caused me to drive with all my windows up though.
    still love this series
Came across this series by accident when on sale, and really enjoy it. Not really into the whole paranormal thing usually, but do enjoy the supernatural, time travel, etc parts of these stories. Don't understand complaints about this narrator, he does a fabulous job. Unless you have a male and female narrator performing together, you are going to have a man doing female voices, or female doing male. Have listened to others by this narrator and think he is great. I will definitely keep getting the books in this series.

    Yes, read it!
For a year now I have had this on my wish list but dodged it because of the reviews. I LOVE Rosalyn Landor....it was hard to believe that the narration was that poor.... I have 2 other Julie Garwood books that were great but she is not my favorite author..... Finally I got to a point where the new releases were not used to my standard....I was looking through my wish list and settled on finally getting through this book and hoping I can make it to the end... Well I got to the end in one day! I could not put it down... Yes it's not her strongest book... But the narrator does and awesome job and the story is good, entertaining and some humorous parts! I would say this is one book that did not get the best reviews but is really a great read.
    Delightful, Great Story
Would you listen to Shadow Music again? Why?
I have listened to Shadow Music several times and I still don't know how Rosalyn Landor did all the voice overs. Terrific, very well done and extremely entertaining.
The story is very unique, interesting and different from anything I have listened to before.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The two lead Characters of course.
Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landors other performances before? How does this one compare?
Rosalyn Landor never disappoints me. She holds the listeners interest and makes the story and all the characters come alive.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me feel good and that's why I have listened to it several times and will do so again.
Wish Judy Garwood would write more books like this one..
    Any additional comments?
It would be wonderful if Judy G. would hire Rosalyn L. to read all her books.
    good but not great
I am a great fan of this author and was thrilled to discover this novel. I enjoyed it but felt a little detached from the main characters.
    Not her strongest
What would have made Shadow Music better?
More deeply developed characters, more meaningful moments between the two main characters.

A gripping and emotional Beauty and the Beast tale by best-selling, multi-award-winning author Danelle Harmon (author of the De Montforte Brothers series).
Heroes of the Sea Series, in order:
    Members Reviews:
    Good story
I really liked this book. Danelle Harmon writes some of my favorite books.
The characters are wonderful. Damon is hard-edged. He is "diabolical" as Gwyneth says. They clash over the treatment of prisoners on the hulk that Damon commands. Gwyneth is a strong woman and that's one of the things I like about Harmon's books.
The story kept me totally interested. The narrator was a bit distracting. I didn't care for the way he portrayed Gwyneth. That was the thing that kept me from rating this higher.
Great Story, Great Narration, Wonderful Pace!
What made the experience of listening to Wicked at Heart the most enjoyable?
The narrator did a fantastic job. Farrell took Harmon's book and brought it to life.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved all of the characters, but my favorite was Damon's character was my favorite. He was a man demonized by tormented memories from his childhood, which I guess would be similar to what we would today refer to PTSD. Damon's response to this was to continually refer to a medical dictionary to deal with each of his 'symptoms' (maybe some sort of panic disorder). Until he meets the lovely and very determined Lady Simms, his life seems on an empty course. His determination to beat Mrs. Simms leads him on a course to instead, follow her lead of charity. Unfortunately for both of them, Damon had made enemies along the way - chief among them the father of the son he had killed. Lady Simms and Damon both end up in a fight for their lives.
    Which scene was your favorite?
The scene where they are finally on his bed and succumb to passion and the men rush in to attack. That was really well done. It was passionate, but the attack was frightening, and well narrated.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed a lot in the book - and could feel other sad emotions. But it Danelle Harmon writes so well, that she elicits all emotions.
    Any additional comments?
    Highly recommend.
Not the narrator I would of chosen
    Liked the story.
Really didn't like the audio version.
Wayne Farrell though he as a nice voice, his rendition was not what this book needed. The story would of been a lot more fun interesting and captivating if it weren't read in that boring, monotonous way.

    I LOVED THIS BOOK
This was my first Jennifer Donnelly book and I absolutely loved everything about this book. The story was so gripping (I couldn't stop listening to it.) and the narrator was GREAT. Well worth a credit!!!
    Wow. Wow wow wow!
What did you love best about The Tea Rose?
The book was well written and well read. I knew nothing about it and took a risk getting it. I'm always a little scared when spending my credits, though with the guarantee its now a much more comfortable feeling and less risk. I hated taking a chance of getting stuck with a book I didnt like!! This book far exceeded my expectations,
What about Jill Tanners performance did you like?
This is my first Jill Tanner book, and I have to admit that at first I was instantly in dislike. Her voice is a bit rough, kind of like a smoker maybe, and thus far I've listened to very smooth voices. As story went in, however, I became accustomed to, and appreciative of her. She did great voice changes and it was easy to follow who was who. Her voice is in just the right range where the inflections genuinely vary between a natural sounding mans voice or a natural sounding womans voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was surprised at how much I was able to "feel" in this book. I actually cried a few times, both happy and sad cries. It was easy to be excited, happy, scared, anger, as well as a myriad of other emotions. I was really surprised by that. Every time I cried I was like "Seriously!?". The storyline with Nicholas was really touching in so many ways. I loved his character, I loved his and Fionas relationship, and I loved... Well I cant say anything else without it being a spoiler.
    Any additional comments?
This book is different than those that I frequent in that instead of the characters being rich London Ton, they were the very poor in the bowels of the city. Getting used to a new narrator and a new kind of story was challenging at first, but only for a few chapters. Loved this book SO much and am now currently listening to the second one in the series, The Winter Rose. (Alternating between Into The Wilderness series and this one so as to make them both last)
In some of the reviews I read, people complained about the Jack the Ripper storyline.

    Wow!
One of the sweetest stories I've ever heard! So beautifully written. Awesome sense of humor. Challenge, heartache, dreams, character, courage and laughter so beautifully intertwined. Highly recommend! The narrator is amazing! How she manages to bring to life so many characters in such a distinct, flawless way I'll never know!
    Great narration
This story continues the journey of Longing For Home. There's so much healing in this book. The narrator does a fabulous job using the 4 required accents, and even gives the characters distinction inside of the accents. She's quite talented!
great story! The narration is icing on the top!
Sarah M Eden writes such wonderful books. I loved listening to this book. The narrator does a great job with the various accents and with each character. This can definitely be read as a stand alone book. It makes me want to go back and read Hope Springs again
    Wonderful to the last page!
This book did NOT disappoint! I loved Tavish from the very beginning of the Hope Springs series and I'm so happy he got his own story. Cecily is such a strong character yet human and relatable. I could listen to this story over and over again!

Can't Wait to see which character is the main focus in the next book. This one was great.
    Amazing
Would you consider the audio edition of Someone to Hold to be better than the print version?
    Only have the audio
Who was your favorite character and why?
Camille her transformation from a shattered brittle person to a resourceful full loving woman was beautiful to watch
    Which scene was your favorite?
The wedding scene at the end had me in tears something I as a veteran of romance reader rarely do anymore. I found the early awareness scenes between Camille and Joel really intriguing.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I love how Camille and the little girl she decides to adopt was done...it would have been very easy for the orphans to be left as background characters but i loved how they gave the unlikable girl love.
    Enjoyable
I will start by saying that I did not think I could like Camille. She was cold, haughty and more than a little aloof. I agree with some of the other reviewers that her path to self discovery was a bit weird. Nevertheless, I like the way Ms. Balogh helped the reader understand the hurt and the pain beneath all that steel. I don't agree that one could not see the love Joel had for her. I think it was subtle but definitely there. One must allow for some embellishments... yes it is not likely that an orphan would become instantly wealthy BUT it is a romance and fiction.
As usual Rosalyn Landon's narration was excellent. Her voice is just right for MB's stories.
    Lovely
Absolutely delightful story. Sad, happy, loving and all the emotions for a very warm story.
    Camille is spot on
Mary Balogh knows how to develop true-to-life characters. For all her flaws, Camille resonates with me. Her motivations so clearly drive her actions and I feel for her as she attempts to earn love by being perfect, while not seeing that shes surrounded by it. The story gives me hope that I too can accept the love Im surrounded by.

Kate Worthington knows her heart and she knows she will never to marry. Her plan is to travel to India instead - if only to find peace for her restless spirit and to escape the family she abhors. But Kates meddlesome mother has other plans. She makes a bargain with Kate: India, yes, but only after Kate has secured - and rejected - three marriage proposals.
Kate journeys to the stately manor of Blackmoore determined to fulfill her end of the bargain sooner rather than later and enlists the help of her dearest childhood friend, Henry Delafield. But when it comes to matters of love, bargains are meaningless and plans are changeable. There on the wild lands of Blackmoore, Kate must face the truth that has kept her heart captive. Will the proposal she is determined to reject actually be the one thing that will set her heart free?
Set in Northern England in 1820, Blackmoore is a regency romance that tells the story of a young woman struggling to learn how to follow her heart.

    EXQUISITE!
I hardly know where to begin with this one.....it was exquisite! What a delightful listen.....I was sucked in from the beginning and couldn't put it down. This book is a beautifully written "clean" romance that is emotionally charged and is filled with honor, respect, chivalry and love. (I honestly didn't miss the sex scenes!). It's family friendly so I would feel comfortable letting a young girl also listen and enjoy.
I have to give a shout out to the narrator because she did a great job.
I highly recommend this to everyone!
    Truly a PROPER Romance
What other book might you compare Blackmoore to and why?
Blackmoore was a unique story. I haven't read any books like it before.
    Which scene was your favorite?
When Henry was talking about how Kate's "heart" loved him and wanted to curl up next to him. It was so cute and adorable. I don't want to give away any details though.
    Any additional comments?
I loved this book. Great narrator! The opening of the book says its a "Proper Romance".... And it was! There is no sex...no inappropriate activity.....it is proper and yet it totally hooked me in and I loved the progression of the love story. The story was unique and entrapped me.
Maybe it was slightly slow moving compared to most books I enjoy, but it was a delightful and surprising change of pace and loved every minute.
My only complaint would be I wanted more at the end. I mean I would have like to have a good long epilogue, but then that's me being selfish....maybe then it wouldn't have been so proper... ;-)
    Romance !
A lovely romantic story, much like a Jane Austin novel. Beautifully read by Cassandra Campbell.
    Proper but Angsty
I'm usually not one for angst-y fiction, but I couldn't put this one down. It was kind of depressing but enthralling all at once. It helps that it was a bit of a mystery. The book follows our heroine, Kate, who has sworn off marriage and has convinced herself that her best option is to travel to India with her spinster aunt. But her mother will not consent. In a weird way, they come to an agreement that if she can secure 3 proposals that her mother will relent and let her go.

    Any additional comments?
As a male, I don't usually read or listen to this kind of story. I must say it was very well written and the whole thing was very tastefully written.
    Great Book!
What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
She is the best reader ever! RL + LK = automatic download.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Mr. Hunt considered compromising Anabel again in the same night just for "Insurance" purposes. It was funny and romantic at the same time.
    Any additional comments?
The Wallflowers series is awesome! And once you've finished you have to read The Hathaways . A must read/listen.
    ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!
What made the experience of listening to Secrets of a Summer Night the most enjoyable?
This novel is pieced together so wonderfully, so magnificently that my only mistake in approaching it was listening to this audiobook before bedtime. Lisa Kleypas beautifully intertwines the characters of Annabelle and Simon Hunt and their developing romance in this novel that you just can't stop listening to. There are so many perspectives that captivate the reader.
    1) Society's impact on the characters: Annabelle is beautiful and if she had a dowry she would be highly sought after by eligible bachelors in the upper class.
