Outstanding technique to learn Russia

I have now lived 4 months in Russia and completed 85 Pimsleur lessons. I have leanred so much more with Pisleur than with the Russian teacher, it is amazing. When I talk on the phone, people think I am Russian as the pronunciation is very good with Pimsleur. great method, I must know about 1000 words by now, and I can have a decent conversation in any situation. Strongly recommend, beside the cost is very low.

Semi Effective

I've been studying Russian for 5 years using primarily audio books. This book suffers from the same malady as all the others I have used to date - it does not explain the grammar behind the language at all. Words change between sentences and there is no explanation. This would be OK if there was sufficient repetition using the same words, but there is not. The book will build vocabulary a bit and provide some catch phrases, but you will not know Russian.

Nice Picture, Useless Book

I've been studying Russian for 5 years using audio books. This one is useless.
