    The Crush Saga
I loved the twists and turns of this book and the entire series Taylors Sparks human, had to overcome so many things, in this world and others. This was a great book about kindness, perseverance with immortals of all types. Ancient books and scrolls, magic of all kinds wolves, vampires, humans, gargoyles, shape shifters,,witches, kings and paupers.
I saw how hard people had to reach inside themselves to either be good or evil, a choice we also have to make each day. Can forgiveness be something that is given freely or not at all? There was a lesson of teamwork, learning to find solutions for each obstacle. Who and will they think of their fellow man or just themselves?
This book is good for teens and older. It might even teach them to look inside and learn to be a better person, if the series is read in a manner that I spires.
    Truly an amazing series
This series is truly an amazing series. It has everything you'd want in a book. Vampires, werewolves, witches. It's got love, sadness, excitement. Literally everything. This is positively a series I can read over again.
If you haven't already read this, try it. I can guaranty if you love any of the things I listed up above, you'll love it then.
    Happy Reading
    Enjoy
    Entertaining series
I read all nine books in this series and enjoyed them quite a bit, although the story did drag a bit at times. The series could probably have been edited down to fit into six or seven volumes, with a faster, more exciting pace, rather than being stretched into nine. There were also the usual grammatical errors here and there, as well as occasional misused words but, I've come to expect that from ebooks, since it seems to be the case more often than not.
I've only given a three star review because, there were several timeline discrepancies that I found distracting. For example, at one moment the lead character had been imprisoned for months, on the next page it was mere days, yet other elements of the plotline didn't support that.
All in all though, it's a solid story with well developed characters that you won't want to put down.
    What a pretty bow
I was really hating on Drake there for awhile, and I really don't get Jesse leaving for the Ice Pack world, someone there could have looked. There again why didn't someone go grab Jesse when Taylor had the doll??? And that touchy feely part with Drake felt wrong for this series.
    Wonderful story!
I just finished reading the entire series. Well written, intense action, romance, friendship, all set through the paranormal, witches, were creatures, vampires, etc. Definitely an excellent aeries for young and old alike.

    Publisher's Summary:
The haven city of Beckenshire has been demolished, and most of the rebels lie beneath the rubble. The few that remain scramble to communicate with the outside world, knowing that if they are to stand a chance in the coming war, they can't do it alone. In a last ditch effort to grow their ranks, the remaining rebels systematically destroy the repeaters which help to propagate the control center signals. And it's working: citizens in targeted cities are waking up in droves. But Ben Voltolini will stop at nothing to quell the uprising before it has a chance to get off the ground. And he has one major ace up his sleeve: Kate Brandeis.
During Kate's broadcast to the nation, Voltolini unleashed targeted brainwave signals against her, causing her to allow both Jackson MacNamera's capture, and her own. Now, despite Voltolini's exquisite wining and dining, she can't seem to stop the panic attacks. Whom can she trust? What is truth? Is there even such a thing?
Meanwhile, imprisoned and hopeless, Jackson realizes the depths of his feelings for Kate only after he has already lost her. The incredible self-control upon which he prides himself gets put to the ultimate test when he meets an unlikely ally who just may turn the tide in the rebels' favor - but only if Jackson can put aside his own bitterness. In this gripping conclusion to The Liberty Box Trilogy, new and surprising alliances are formed, passions run high, and our heroes learn what they are really made of. Do they have what it takes to fight for freedom - even if it means paying the ultimate price?

    Reborn from the Ashes
I loved the conclusion of this series! As a couple of other people have also posted, I think this was the best book in this series. I absolutely love Jackson and Kate, whether they are apart or together. I was very satisfied with the ending, even though at parts I wanted to yell at the characters to ask them what they were doing. There is even more action that will make you keep reading until the very last page. Overall a very good series that will make you think twice about this dystopia that could realistically happen.
    Overall great read!
I love dystopian novels, which is what drew me to this series. What resonated with me throughout my reading, though, was how the writer's spiritual beliefs, which I share, reflected in her writing. It was also a welcomed break from children doing the dirty work of risking their lives to save the nation to have actual adult protagonists. I got the first book for free, but after being sucked into the story, I had to buy the last two.
I enjoyed the world-building and thought the characters were well developed, for the most part. I did question how one particular character made the switch from ally to enemy; I just didn't feel like the rationale was enough for me.
Also, there were a few typos that, even being a grammar nerd, I was willing to overlook for an indie author.

    YOU. HAVE. TO. READ. THIS.
    BLOG TOUR: http://athousandwordsamillionbooks.blogspot.in
**I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review**
So, when I read the blurb- I expected what anybody would expect. A story on the afterlife- maybe something similar to Meg Cabot's latest series. Instead, I got something MUCH, MUCH better!
Alright, despite all the technical terms, and the fact that I had to go back and read the beginning two times over to really get what was going on, this book was, in one word- BRILLIANT!
Karen Wrighton has the ability to imagine like no one else does- I was so astounded with the depth of the writing, the various lands of the Ascendants, and, just simply how beautifully everything was planned out.
Fine, now, instead of me babbling incoherently, I should probably give you a gist of what the book really is about. Well, in a special version of the Afterlife, called the Afterlands, there live people- not so ordinary ones like you and me, but ones capable of more- mentally and well, magically. There are natives, that live and die like us and then there are the Ascendants. The immortal- save for a few venoms- Golds, Muds, Bloods and the Whytes (whom were previously extinct- for lack of a better way to describe them)
Rose Whyte is the first Whyte to ascend in over a millenium, starting up an ancient prophecy that threatens war on all the realm- and the loss of everything they've established.
And that's all you need to know. This book was brilliant (yet again) and I could babble on (again) but I feel that it would make this masterpiece lose it's magic. So, you know...
    My Verdict:
    READ. IT.
death is just the beginning of our next great adventure. Sara Carson was one of those special ...
Sara Carson did not believe in life after death, Heaven, Hell or even reincarnation. However, what she didnât know was that some of us are special. For some of us, death is just the beginning of our next great adventure. Sara Carson was one of those special people, and her most incredible journey did not begin, until the day she died.
A magical debut novel that will leave you breathless.
First, let me just say â that the âback of the book blurbâ above does not even BEGIN to describe what this book is truly about. That, maybe, covers the first 3 pages of the novel. So what makes this fantasy? What is this after life in the world of author Karen Wrighton? Welcome to Ascension of the Whyteâ
In another world, the Afterlands, immortal souls ascend and are reborn â they are called the Ascendants and fall into the family or casts of Bloods, Muds, Golds or Whytes. Except Whytes have failed to ascend for centuries, thanks to a brutal war and their extinction.

    Publisher's Summary:
"A Witch Shall Be Born" is one of the original novels by Robert E. Howard about Conan the Cimmerian (a.k.a. Conan the Barbarian). The story concerns a witch replacing her twin sister as queen of a city state, which brings her into conflict with Conan who had been the captain of the queen's guard. Themes of paranoia, and the duality of the twin sisters are paramount in this story but it also includes elements of the conflict between barbarism and civilization that is common to the entire Conan series. One very powerful scene stands out: Conan's crucifixion early in the story in the second chapter ("The Tree of Death") is considered one of the most memorable scenes in the entire series!

    Original and Engaging!
I started this series with a free copy of The Keeper of the Books, thinking I'd give it go, but not thinking it would be anything original. Wow! I'm so glad I did! Character development is great, the action is perfect, and the idea quite different from the normal sort of overdone time and space travel adventure. Can't wait to read the next one!
One of the five worst books of the year for me.
Rarely have I read anything that I disliked more. Perhaps it was a mood that I was in and I will need to try once again to see some redeeming qualities, if I find the time.
    Anxiously waiting book 3
Loved this sequel to The Keeper of the Books. The things I put off doing just so I could find out what happened next are numerous. Periodically my head hurts from thinking too much about how this travel in and out of books, and time works, but I imagine that's just how Joe must feel too as he tries to understand what he must do. Is his fate set in stone, or can events change? I am anxiously waiting for Book 3 to come out.
Great read, new world to explore!
Full of action and twists and never a dull moment- just when you think you have it figured out, something happens to spur you on- great book, well written , gets better as you go when you get to know the characters and the worlds the characters come from! Can't wait for the next book!
    Couldn't put it down!
Excellent read. I had a hard time putting this book down. The author does a great job developing each character while progressing the story at the right pace. Action, drama, and suspense this book has it all. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

But Smoking Mirror hasn't abandoned his own ambitions for power; with his allies - mortal and divine - threatening war among the gods, he's shifted his focus to Quetzalpetlatl and her budding magical powers. Along with her deep, personal connection to his hated enemy Quetzalcoatl, she would be the perfect addition to his ranks, if only he can convince her that she's working for the wrong side in this conflict.
And he knows the one secret that will tear apart everything she thinks she knows about her beloved god...and herself.

    Good Follow-Up
Quetzalpetlatl and her brother Topiltzin are now King and Queen of Tollan, a city they have founded on which they could build their dreams and end human sacrifice. However, they soon find that the peace and prosperity they have hoped for is over. Smoking Mirror is back and wants to start a war with Quetzalcoatl. He turns his eye on Quetzalpetlatl and tries to convince her that Quetzalcoatl is not the just god he claims to be. Caught in the midst of a war between the gods, Quetzalpetlatl soon learns a secret that may tear her devotion to Quetzalcoatl apart.
Quetzalpetlatl has grown more mature in The Bone Flower Queen than The Bone Flower Throne. She becomes a strong capable queen ruling alongside her brother. She has ambitions and goals where she hopes to have a better future and a happy ending. She is also a loving mother. However, she still has insecurities about herself. Due to her power, she wonders if she is hurting those she loves. Quetzalpetlatl makes decisions, some of which are careless, in order to remain true to herself and to save those she loves. Quetzalpetlatl, at times, can be impulsive and there were some actions she made that I didnât approve of. Despite her flaws, Quetzalpetlatl is a loveable character that readers will root for and hopes that she will find her happiness.
Overall, this book is about a woman trying to find her self-identity. The characters are fleshed out, and it was great to revisit tenth century Mexico again. The author does a great job in making her world come alive. The only thing I did not really like was the ending. However, I liked the story well enough to read the conclusion to the trilogy, The Bone Flower Goddess. The story itself was very reminiscent of King Arthur and his Camelot. The Bone Flower Throne has the makings of an Arthurian tragedy that will appeal to King Arthur fans. I recommend this book to fans of The Mists of Avalon, The Hollow Hills, and Avelynn.
(Note: I received a review copy from the author.)
    This took a dark turn
This review is from: The Bone Flower Queen (The Bone Flower Trilogy Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
Wow. Like the first book, there really is not a dull moment in here. A lot happened, and like in the first book, so much changed from beginning to end. I felt that there was a great deal more character development in this one, which I had hoped for. I felt like I got to know Citlallotoc and Topiltzin very well, and I found the the villains incredibly interesting as well.
Occasionally I found Quetzalpetlatl a little bit frustrating.

    Great Start
Really well-done. I love how Watkinson draws inspiration from real-life cultures; each new location was carefully described and added to the richness of the world. I liked the main characters too, and there was a lot of good character development, especially Coryn. While it was clear that the two mains would eventually meet up, I was pretty surprised at how it ended up happening. As for the bad guys, they were crazy evil, and despite my initial reservations, Watkinsonâs addition of an antagonist's POV was a good choice that added complexity.
Definitely check this book out, even if you arenât into high-fantasy; the real-world inspiration grounds the text enough so that it is very accessible.

The Cracked Amulet is the first book in the Wefen Weaves series. At 300+ pages of small text, this is not a quick read! It is a story full of detail and rich description that lets you feel like you can really see the world of Dumnon as you follow Coryn and Katleya on their journey.
The book did feel a little light on the action at times, but the likeable main characters, the realistic magical world they were travelling through, and their objectives were enough to keep me reading. This is what I would call high fantasy, and if that's your thing, you should enjoy The Cracked Amulet. I'll be on the lookout for book #2!

What i like best about fantasy is that it doesn't pretend to be anything else but a great story. Even GOT, an over the top fantasy novel, isn't pretentious.
