Great read with outstanding examples of Core Leadership Compentencies

Tammy Berberick, CEO of Crestcom, Int'l, Peter Lindsey and Katie Fritchen do an amazing job grabbing the reader from their very first paragraph. The authors encapsulate the relatively unknown story about a team of nurses that saved the lives of 20 infants in the Neonatal Unit of NYU Hospital during hurricane Sandy. It was this amazing team that demonstrated the core leadership competency - driven for results. I recommend reading this book on the 10 Core Competencies of Leadership Development and how understanding these Compentencies can transform your team.

I felt like this book didn't stay on topic. it didn't teach you how to be a good leader. it taught about how to believe in yourself and start a business. however I would still recommend it because it does help you be a better person.

The RQ measure proposed in the book is easy to calculate, and doing so is likely to be a wake-up call for most companies. The book is a very readable and comprehensive discussion of where innovation efforts go right and wrong, with well chosen examples. The author clearly demonstrates the perils of outsourcing the development of innovative ideas, and the importance of centralizing many types of R&D within the organization. Highly recommended!

Could be decent but can't get past audio quality-

What disappointed you about Lean and Lean Leadership: Module 1 Complete with Sections 1-7?

The audio quality was horrible, it really sounded like it was recorded by speakerphone. I tried to get past the quality but couldn't and the value of the content was lost.

When they said it's "recorded live" they aren't lying and in this case, it's a significant negative factor.

How could the performance have been better?

Use decent recording tools! Even a basic microphone would have made a world of difference.
