Great story - Female Narrator - ANNOYING

I do love anything written by Aurora Rose Reynolds, but oh my the female narrator was just plain AWFUL!!! Her voice is annoying and too high pitched. Normally, I listen to a sample, but in a rush I grabbed this one and I have suffered through this audible story. I will remember to stay away from this narrator in the future!

Loved this sweet very low angst story. I may re-read the kindle version soon, since I felt as though this narrator really took away from what would have been a 5 star read for me!

Female narrator loud and shouty.

The loud, shriek in the female voice brings it down. Ok story, ok male narrator.

Narration

I usually like when they have male and female narrators, but the male narrator made the female characters sound ditzy and his voice for the female lead was almost the same as the voice he used for a 10 year old girl, which says a lot.

For some this story may be tooooooooooo sweet. It was the perfect story for the beyond crap day it was. It was a sweet slice of much needed distraction. I started the book shortly after hearing of the tragedy in LV and only unplug my headphones to talk to my family & do homework before plugging right back in.

The mix of sweet innocence, crazy & the little bit of suspense was adorably loveable. Carly Robins played Fawn to perfection. Now Alexander Cendese wasn't on my radar as a strong yummy male lead prior to this performance BUT he sure is now!!!

Aurora Rose Reynolds told a fine story. However, I would have enjoyed a bit more of the love birds in their HEA. or more on the sisters or just more.

The last part of the ending was a nice addition to all the warm & fuzzy. I hope you enjoy this book if only a fraction of what I did. I'm thankful it was there when I needed a little happy.

OMG...Levi!! Swoon...

Levi ran into Fawn...literally...on the day that he moved to NYC for his new job. After the strange encounter with the hawt guy, Fawn is aghast that he's moving into the apartment across the hall. Sparks fly...will these two different ppl be able to be more than friends? OMGEEE! I so floved this book...listened to it all afternoon to the end! We got it all...scared of relationship h and a really nice H...throw in crazy families, a murder and some ex drama and we have an 'un-put-downable' book. Aurora Rose Reynolds is a very talented author! Have enjoyed every single book that she's written and look forward to more...need to get MacKenzie and Wesley's story!!!

This book made me cry way too much. Though it was excellent I would not listen to it again. Only because I am not a cryer. I don't like books that bring out this type of emotion but if you love a tear jerker this is the book for you. And of course the narration was stellar.

Andi!!!!

So the book was great, Corinne is great, the story was great. Now let's talk about Andis performance. I'm always a huge fan of hers, but she blew me away with this one. Her portrayal of Stephanie tore me to pieces. She deserves all the recognition it the world for this performance!!!

Enthralling listen

I had no idea what a fantastic listening experience this would be. I have to give it two thumbs up and 5 stars because I absolutely loved this book!

This one is for every girl who's ever had a band crush. Ever wonder what it would be like to spend one night with your famous crush? That's exactly what happened to Heather. EliWalsh from the band Three Blocks Down was Heather's teenage fantasy.

Flash forward years later when Heather is no longer "shak'in it down" at one of their shows. She's a responsible adult now who cares for her speacial needs sister, working as a cop. With her dignity to uphold, Heather's life has become pretty mundane after her divorce.

Her girlfriends think she needs a night out to kick her heels up and have some fun. They all end up at a Three Blocks Down concert. Heather has a few drinks and before you know it she's singing along and professing her love right in front of the stage where Eli notices. When Heather let's her hair down and takes a trip backstage, things really heat up

I can't give everything away, but I will say... though it starts off fun and light hearted, this one does have plenty of depth to it. It's fun, sexy, serious, and sad too. Lot's of feelings packed in this listen.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the narration. Zachary and Andi both did an outstanding job!! Very rarely do I revisit a book in my library, this one however is worth coming back to.

Love love love this book!

This is a wonderful story, by an enjoyable author, read by my two most favorite narrators.

Love Samantha Christys work a story that stays with you for quite some time

Amazing Book

I absolutely loved this book so much so that I started and finished in the same day. Because of listen to so many books it's hard to say which is my favorite but this is definitely in my top 10. When I finished listening to Part 1 I was unsure how I'd manage to get through Part 2 I managed to get through it and then came Part 3. This is the best second chance book I have ever read. If there was an option of more the 5 stars it would get them. Great book and great narration!

Love this Series

I love Samantha Christy's books and was so excited to finally see one on audible. I am hoping the remaining series will be available on audiobook soon!

What did you love best about Purple Orchids?

I loved that Baylor and Gavin never stopped loving each other.

I liked Gavin. I just wished he wouldn't have married Karen.

What does Lauren Sweet and Gary Furlong bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

I really enjoyed Gary's voice and the way he told his part of the story. It took me quite a while to get used to Lauren.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was sad when Cali died. I would have liked to have seen what could have happened with her and Collin. I thought the second half of the book kind of dragged. Baylor jumped right back into bed with Gavin but it seemed to take forever for her to commit to him. I found that a little off for me.

Any additional comments?

Even if they were only together for three months in college, they were deeply connected to each other so I found it strange that both would separate without speaking to the other.

This is the first Samantha Christy book I have listened to and it held me captive from the very 1st chapter. My emotions were on a roller coaster ride. So get ready future readers. I can't wait to listen to the next book in this series. *proud owner of over 300 audible books*

It Counts this time

This is a delightful book .. at times frustrating with developments that reveal themselves slowly opening layers of delightful characters. Worthy of the time spent on each and the twists of friendships and lives...left with wanting more .....

Mia and Paul Make a Cute Couple

I selected this book as my gift from Amazon for August. I loved the story and will reading more by this author. Mia was the main character, a well-known actress, who made movies with her husband. Her husband cheats on her and she gets fed up and takes off to Paris to 'get her head straight.' She is taken in by her best friend for years, Daisy, who owns a restaurant. Mia doesn't know what she should do but she winds up registering on a dating site. the story takes off. She meets Paul Barton, and American novelist living in Paris, and the story wraps itself around your heart and head. It is a love story but with lots of twists and turns. I am so happy that I selected it. It is unpredictable. the characters are well developed and easy to like. It's is funny and sweet. Treat yourself to a new author and sit back and enjoy. The author has written 18 novels so I'd say I can enjoy his words for some time yet. Check him out. Thanks to the translator Sam Taylor for a superb translation; Tim Campbell portrayed the characters with great charm. I loved this book and will be looking for more Marc Levy books.

A witty short story, narrated beautifully, though with a few unnecessary twists and turns. An enjoyable story nevertheless....

Funniest Romance!

Loved the characters and the writing. Genuinely laughed out loud! Not sure what was going on when they werent together, but the ending was wonderful, enough for a second read. So happy I read this beautiful novel. Makes we want to learn French!

Finally good Narrators

It took 7 books until they figured out the perfect combo for narrators. Great story, it;s a must read.

Not my favorite

Of all the stories in this series this has been my least favorite. I did how ever like the last 5 chapters. It was starting to get really good then just ended.

It dragged on throughout most of the story. Hope the next one is better.

Ryan

I enjoy reading love suspense but I believe this book was more about love than the suspense. Every time I feel like it was going good, the sex comes in. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it but found myself skipping instead.

Overall, I love the book.

I cannot wait until the next book.

Another abrupt cliffhanger! Arghhhhhh!

Very well-defined deep back story that never seems to end. Ryan Steel and Ruby, 32 year old virgin, become unexpected lovers. Ruby loses her V card, and begins to make up for lost time. Scorching hot sex! the narrators were excellent, unlike books 4,5,6. but there is no book 8 or 9 on audio yet. I just hope to God they don't switch narrators again.

Disappointed

This book was so disappointing. What started as a very interesting series now seems like a story being dragged out.

Fall in LOVE with LOVE

I am in awe!

This is exactly the kind of story that made me fall in love with Kristen Ashleys books.

A second chance at love is just magically to me. And I loved Coert & Cady they deserved to be together.

The way they loved each other is something to strive for. You cant have that much pain and sorrow and not have that much love.

I have loved each book in the series, but just in a different way. Cady makes you believe in hope.

I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I smiled so much my face hurt listening to this brilliant book of love and friendship.

I am also sure I have said this before but Kristen Ashley has a way of writing kids in to a story that is not only believable but so realistic. I love this so much!

I am in awe of Erin Mallons ability to make me love each character. To know each voice. To fall in love with love.

Fantastic.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.

Unbalanced...

This book started out as a 1 to 2 stars read and ended up at a 4. So over all it's a 3.

I had the hardest time with Cady. She wasn't just a doormat, she was the ground underneath it. People treat her horribly and she just goes back to them and apologizes to them like a dog.

Yeah. APOLOGIZES. Even though nothing was ever her fault.

Seriously.

And when she tries to reconnect with Coert, He treats are horribly. Not just horribly, but HORRIBLY.

She just keeps trying.

No matter what he says to her, she just keeps going back. Not only that, but she text him over and over, and even stalks the places he'll be at. She's that crazy, stalkery, ex girlfriend that we usually cringe at.

It. was. Maddening.

Which is saying something for me, because I actually like my heroines soft and sweet. This girl was far, far beyond that.

But things change around at about the halfway mark. I know a lot of people didn't like the last half and thought it was boring, but I thought it was a very much needed. We needed to get that sweet to balance out all that sour.

But what ended up happening was, We get this angsty, horribly unjust, incredibly sad story, and then it completely does a 180 and were drowning in "I love yous."

I just felt it needed to be a little more balanced instead of going from one extreme to the next.

I'm glad I pushed through. KA always brings it .

Absolutely loved this book

This is the first book Ive read/ listened to from Louise Bay, I know Im late to the party, I do have other books, I just havent had the time to dive into them yet. After listening to Hollywood Scandal, I am moving them up the TBL list, because, damn, I loved the writing style, the way I reacted to the characters and the story, I need more of this goodness in my life.

When I read the synopsis for this book I was giddy, it sounded amazing. The girl next door and the sexy movie star! Sign me up. I thought it would be a fun book to listen to, and I was right. I loved everything about this book. I loved how Lana didnt know who Matt was and fell for him anyway. I loved that Matt liked that she didnt fall at his feet, she was a challenge for him. Its a sweet romance that captured my heart and attention early on and once I started it, I didnt want to put it down.

I fell completely in love with Matt Easton, he was such a sweet, swoon-worthy character. I was completely taken with him, pretty much from the get go. He was funny and charming. Respectful and supportive. Sure, he might have made some mistakes but his heart was in the right place. I also may not be able to see past his awesomeness lol.

I really liked Lana, I did get a little mad at her at times, how could she not see how perfect Matt was? I mean, come on girl! She came around to my way of thinking, in the end, so all was forgiven. I liked her backstory, and her reasoning made sense, even though I wanted to tell her to get over it, I understood her reluctance. Her interactions with the locals were cute and gave insight into her character.

I had an instant dislike of Brian and Sinclair, I wanted to punch them both in the balls. Who the heck did they think they were? Id have fired them. But, they did redeem themselves in the end so I kind of forgave them.

The older residents of Worthington were great, I loved their little additions to the story and they really brought the small-town vibe to life.

I loved Ruby, she totally needs her own book and HEA.

Mind blowing twists and raw emotion!

Did I just devour this audiobook in one day? Why yes! Yes, I did. Once again, Penelope Ward delivers an amazing story. When it comes crafting an intriguing, engaging and shocking plot full of twists you never saw coming, this author is simply brilliant. Add in unique characters with fantastic chemistry, and this story really has it all. Top recommendation for this year! Once again, I'm just BLOWN AWAY. Standing ovation to Andi Arndt for delivering an amazing performance for a one of kind character and for somehow not breaking down into a sobbing mess during key scenes of her performance. I did all the crying for both of us instead.

The author's timing was impeccable for her twists and turns and funny moments. This book was a surprise. I was not a die-hard fan of this author before, she was barely on my radar, but she is a new favorite!

The story drew me in from the start. The premise of the entire first "drunk dial" was plausible and it kept me riveted from there. The characters were real, had great personalities, and the dialogue was spot on for every occasion. The sexual scenarios were good, and everything was well written. Days later, I am still thinking about these characters and how their lives might be doing. I seldom do that with ANY book...

What does Andi Arndt bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Her perfect pronunciation is appreciated, and her vocal inflections capture the true spirit of the author's intentions for her characters. She's fantastic.

Another winner from Emma Chase!

Emma Chase never fails to write a book I absolutely love, and Royally Endowed is no exception. I loved the first two in the series, and this slow-burn sweet romance did not disappoint at all.

Everybody knows the bodyguard rules: Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.

Logan is ex-military and grew up rough. At 22 he has seen and experienced more horrors than most people ever do. He is so honored to be part of the elite Royal guard and he would never jeopardize that. Royally Endowed runs concurrently to the first two books so we see Ellie, the Duchesss sister again in high school, working at her dads diner and making pies. Her sweet, funny, grab life by the 'bleep' attitude is a pleasure to watch and you cant help but fall for her. Logan is in charge of keeping her safe, and its sweet to see the 17 year old crushing on the big, strong, gruff bodyguard.

"Because Logan would never let anything bad happen to any of us. And I believe with all my heart that theres nothing he cant do."

The story jumps ahead over years and we see Ellies feelings just keep getting stronger though she hasnt really come out and admitted it. Logan has the same feelings for Ellie, but she is still too young, off limits, the Princes sister-in-law!

If you're already a fan of this awesome series then you really don't need to read any of the glowing reviews.. because you've ALREADY found out what an awesome and talented Author Meghan March is. You've ALREADY been wowed by her detailed dual POV storylines that mix truly epic romances with angst, drama, danger, sex, passion, turmoil, twists and suspense. You've ALREADY drooled over her sexy damaged bad boys who have all found strong loving heroines who bring out their brooding alpha possessive side. You've ALREADY loved and hated her secondary characters who throw spanners or lifelines into her intricately woven works. And you've ALREADY experienced Sebastian and Andi's excellent narration that brought each one of the books in this series to life, added all the necessary emotional feels with every single word they uttered.. and, thanks to their skilled narration, I'm sure you'll all agree that this series is one to enjoy over and over again.

However, if you haven't yet listened to any of Meghan March's multi-layered riveting books in the Beneath series, then you're in for an awesome ride. They're all unique standalones that can be listened to out of order - yet interconnect with family/friends. But I wouldn't suggest starting with this one.. Ariel and Rhett's addictive and intense story is great - but this last book in the series has all the happy couples uniting, wrapping up and reaffirming their love in a very memorable and touching way.

Worth a credit? I think you know what I'm gonna say.. it starts with a Y and ends in S.

I can't believe it's over :( This will always be my favorite Meghan March series because it was my first. I don't want this to be the last one !

I was really excited for Hennessy's book and it was better than I could have ever expected! This book has so much to it! Of course it has love and hot sex but this one has a lot of action and twists and turns.

Hennessy shows off his good guy values while also being a sexy badass. Although I think he will always be a cop at heart! Ari is an amazing character and the perfect heroine for Hennessy. She is a brilliant geeky girl that is bad ass! I loved that so much! She didn't hide it, she did try to be something else, she was just who she was! Great way to end the series and that epilogue was awesome, I loved all the closure <3

Narration was great of course!

I've loved every book in this series and couldn't wait for this one.
