My favorite one yet!

first off, the narration was perfection. Rexroth and Edie were a disaster apart and even more so together. Shen took 2 strong confident characters and put them together in an explosive display of power. who was going to win the game.. or could there really be a winner? hearts that are so hard come together and we wait with baited breath to see if they can crack

Pretty sure this is my favorite in this series!

This book was just amazing! This series is amazing. I highly recommend this series. It's entertaining, it's real life, it's addicting, it's worth a credit and then some. You will be hooked and won't want to stop until the last page has been heard. I listened in 1 day! Plus The narrators are a perfect fit.

My Fav Hothole

I have listened to the entire series, which I have loved, but this is absolutely my favorite. My favorite men are usually the anti-hero who take forever to come around, but when they fall... sigh. My favorite female characters are the strong w/o anger types. This story had both. The cherry on top was Luna! The narrators were perfect for my ears and I will be looking both up with their other work. LJ Shen is just a one click for me, period!

OK book. Fabulous narration..

So, I just finished Duke of Desire yesterday, where the hero had a horrible scar across his face, and decided to read this. AND guess what? The heroine has a scar across her face! AND she was described as plain and the hero was beyond belief beautiful and in love with her. Seriously? As if that is ever going to happen. When are authors going to make both the heroine and hero plain or too plump or unattractive so the story makes more sense. (Not that I would read a book like that.)

Anyway, this was about Andy, who was arrested for drunk driving when he hit Grey, from the first book Accidently Hers. Andy managed to get his job back at the ski resort on a probationary period then some chick lied about him and he was fired, again. Nikki, who was almost his girlfriend didnt really believe Andy when he defended himself so Andy dumped her For a little while, anyway.

It was nice to see what happened to Andy but he deserved better than Nikki.

There was one sex scene but there was not a shred of attraction, want, lust, nothing whatsoever. Publishers tell authors that sex sells so 95% of them just throw a sex scene in and call it good. Personally, Id rather have some kind of sexual tension throughout the book than to have one stupid sex scene.

The F-bomb was used 1 time.

As to the narrator: The best part of the entire was Kate Rudds narration. She does wonderful voices and great emotions.

Too Short!

I have really enjoyed this series but was disappointed that this story was so short. I felt cheated of a credit. Oh well!

Great end to the series

enjoyable story and great narration!

This was a really wonderful romance! Andy made a huge mistake the night he got a DUI and it changed his life. He needs a second chance at his dream job and Nikki is the only person that can really help him. Very sweet chemistry between these two and a good story! Narration was really well done and had distinguishable voices for various characters. Highly recommend!

Slap slap kiss

At first I wasn't too sure if I would enjoy this book. It starts off a little slow but I ended up loving this story so very much. It had a everything, humor, angst (but not too much), and even some really cool drink and food recipes. It was a perfect blend of emotions and had a kick butt spit fire heroine. Definitely recommend this book.

an adorable love story

This book was a fun book to listen to, but I think it was made even better by the GREAT narration of Diana Luke. She did a fabulous job! I liked the storyline. loved the characters! It was such a sweet love story! I was getting concerned that it would be a cliffhanger but it wasnt..she tied it off very nicely. It was definitely worth a listen and a credit!

Loved the story

Loved the story. SY was good as always. The female narrator was a bit to handle. The author painted one picture of the characters and the female narrator painted another. Very confusing at times. Wished I had not bought the audible version but read it myself.

from the very first word and I'm not even finished yet, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this book has got me smiling and laughing out loud like on the commercial for audible, the narrators, KUDOS !!ADD A GIRL!!!, who is this Diane Luke, my God her reading is so animated, I absolutely love it, I'm hanging on to every word, this is a MUST LISTEN BOOK, and of course I have nothing but Love for Sebastion York. I love all of J.T. Geissenger books. Anyway listen for yourself you won't be disappointed.

This made me angry and didnt really end - have to buy next in series to find out conclusion

Book ends on a cliffhanger and definitely not s standalone book. However, although that is annoying about this book thats not what angers me. Mount coerces her to have sex with him to pay off her deceaseds husbands debt and threatens if she doesnt people she cares for will die. He torments her sexually but still not by choice and when she is on the brink of being defeated and screams for him to just do it (e.g., to get it over with and get her release) Mount thinks hes not raping her because she begs for it. The fact that he kidnaps her and controls her every move doesnt occur to him as being abusive. Then she is slowly missing him even though she cant stand him. Im angered at the book implying a woman isnt raped if she eventually enjoys the sex act after being kidnapped and forced to do things she would never had agreed to. Im angered at the message this sends to male readers permitting them to take what they want because she will eventually like it. Ive enjoyed other books this author has written but this one feels like it has crossed the line from control to downright abuse but finding ways to justify this abuse. Also, Mounts voice sounded weak for the character he was playing.

Great story narration Could use some work

I enjoyed the story but the when the female narrator tried to do the Lachlan's voice she often made him sound like he was mentally slow. Unfortunately there was a enough dialogue that it was distracting and made listening less enjoyable.

Not my fav..

I normally love Meghan March but this story was off for me. I really disliked the Narration. I didn't connect to the female lead at all, Mount is weird, and I don't think that the whole captive thing is a turn on. It's one thing to have an alpha, it's a whole other thing to have a psychopath threatening everyone you love unless you... Comply with every demand? Not hot. Horrible narration didn't help. What ever happened to attraction, happenstance, teamwork to bring people together? Why all this twisted love hate and weaponized masculinity?

Meghan March is an auto buy for me always and she didn't disappoint with this book. I will say this book felt very angry for the most part though, I was hoping at some point these characters would be a little less volatile toward each other but I do see it coming in part 2!

Mount comes across as a ruthless, angry, demanding man but honestly I felt his softer side a lot more than I felt hers. You can see he is obviously protecting himself from her. Keira is protesting a little too much I think. She is obviously into him but she can't let even a sliver of that show. He is forcing her to be in his life and she is pushing back every second of the way.

FIVE MASSIVE FREAKING STARS

If I could give this audiobook more stars I wouldnt hesitate.

I saved this ebook until I had the audiobook in my library, and let me tell you, it didnt disappoint.

What a web Ms Huss did weave, l she had me sitting on the edge of my seat with every chapter I read.

The characters within this book will blow your mind, this story of The Company will freak you out because there is some truth to all of this. If you havent figured it out yet, (The Company, be it by that name or another) is in fact real.

Julie A Huss is a master at weaving a touch of truth in most of her books, if not all.

I havent read one of her books that I havent loved, but this must be my favourite of them all.

And seriously, that is saying a lot.

The narrators Ava & Tad did an absolutely amazing job bringing this story to life for me as a listener.

Its so worth a credit, I mean you get 18hrs of mind blowing listen, suspense, murder, twists and turns and lets not forget some hot steamy scenes.

PHENOMENAL... SIMPLY PHENOMENAL

It was a bit daunting at first, to be faced with a storyline that was going to last eighteen hours.. but I should've known that, when that story's written by a talented and gifted author such as JA Huss, the hours would whizz by in a cryptic whirlwind world of thrilling suspense, action-packed unique drama, tense danger, clever twists and surprising turns. That her well-written characters would be multi-layered and damaged in some way.. loveable rouges, unsung heroes and heroines, challenging clever people caught up in a web of something evil with no way out. However, despite the looming danger, there's passion, romance, self-sacrifice, sex, words of undying love and a joining of two souls. And, in this three book collection, Ms. Huss didn't disappoint.. she didn't hold back.. and she delivered it all by the bucket full.

Gotta Love a "Boy Scout"!

Another great Male POV Rom-Com from Lauren Blakely! She is a master at making me feel warm and fuzzy from these sweet alpha males and their journey to get their girl.

Patrick is a boy-scout, he is sweet and adventurous and he knows what he wants! Mia is a workaholic who needs to be reminded how to slow down and relax and Patrick is just who she needs to help remind her. Their story is sweet and sexy. And to no surprise for most this book is filled with pets ;)

The narration was great as always! I don't care what anyone says I never tire of Sebastian York ;)

One of the Best!

I loved this book! Zeus stole the show from the very beginning. Sebastian York did an excellent performance in this book with the male POV. It was fun having some couples from other books mentioned in this story as a side note and not focus. How Lauren Blakely outdoes herself on each book is amazing. She weaves humor into all of the books and they leave me feeling happy listening to them. Conversations with the cat were especially funny. This review is my opinion of the book and not a synopsis. This story is totally original and a standalone listen with a happy ending. I received this book and wanted to write a review, but feel that I am not eloquent enough to do this book justice. This book is one of my top favorites.

Good story

This was a good story but almost too short. Would have liked it to start back right after the two first met each other. Would have liked to heard about the dates in California. But other than that enjoyed every minute.

Patrick and Mia have a special place in my heart!

Hard Wood is a sexy standalone by the talented Lauren Blakely. It is written in such a way that you can't help but fall in love with the memorable characters Lauren has created. It tells a fantastic story about a man who actually is wanting to be in a committed relationship, but just hasn't met the woman he is destined for, as of yet. Well, that is if he could get his best friend's sister out of his mind. She is not geographically desirable, so it keeps things in the "friend zone" for now anyways.

CUTE STORY IN TRUE HARPER STYLE!!!

Although there was no supernatural elements this was a cute story and had the great southern charm to it, that is typical of Molly Harper work...I am excited to read this new series and know I will adore it!!! Thanks Molly!!! Thanks Amanda!!! Great team work as always!!!

Not as impressed with the story

There was less structure and buildup to draw the reader in. Also the main female character was both harder to relate to and bad in a way that made me want to see her fail. The narrator did an amazing job almost making up for the story.

LOVED LOVED LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!

Cute kid, Hot Sex and Excellent Narration. You can not lose with this book. I loved every minute and will listen to this one over and over again. . Worth five credits.

Excellent well written correct grammar well edited what a refreshing change from so many books out there now!

Thank you to the author and to the editor for understanding the English language, for understanding grammar and punctuation and to the author for writing such a sweet story with great character development, keeping good pacing, etc. so forth. Bravo! I listened to the audible version - great narration by both talents. Excellent all around!

Last 1/3 is beyond annoying

I think the story had alot going for it in the beginning. But both main characters just turn the last couple of hours into a cluster f of stupid decisions and stupid decisions. Not like one, out of pressure, where you can write it off. But several of the kind that if it would have been a movie you would sit and say to the screen dont go in there, dont do it, dont be so stuoid, call 911 first. So, I want credit back for the last extremely irritating hours.

Weak. What ever happened to the guy pursuing the girl and working for it. Tired of the wounded guy and the girl who jumps in his bed.

WONDERFUL.. AND I'M SIMPLY IN AWE OF A.L. JACKSON

Yet again Ms. Jackson has blown me away with an emotional and beautiful story with complex characters and a well-paced romance. It totally gripped me from the start and kept me captivated until the final beautiful words were spoken. I'd been anxiously waiting for this book's release after reading about it in Amy's Newsletter.. and, like all this talented author's books, it didn't disappoint. Her unique writing style, endless abilities and powerful words created a perfect romance. Rynna and Rex's story of sacrifice redemption and love was all I'd hoped it would be and much much more as these two damaged souls slowly shared their painful heartbreaking secrets, opened up, saved each other and cherished what they had fought so hard for.. love. And, in doing so, they created an unbreakable family unit.

Worth a credit? Oh boy YEAH..

Great narrator's. I really enjoyed this story and anticipate the release of the movie. Ready to read the second book of this series.

it was ok

I originally only read the book because they were making a movie and I wanted to read the book before seeing the movie. The book and movie don't seem to have anything to do with each other. The plot of both are similar but no where near the same. so if you're only reading the book because of the movie like I did, you'll probably be highly disappointed... as far as the book goes it was okay at best. The story was cute but kind of messed up. Josie ends up letting Nick walk away after he spent 6 years dedicated to her and her son. I get that if the love isn't there then you have to walk away but that just rubs me the wrong way, she completely used him and threw him away like trash the mintute Liam returns home. even when Nick was fighting for her. that whole situation kind of ruined the book for me, it made me change my perception of how I saw the heroin. The book is also pretty unrealistic, there's no way that he is that famous and from a small town and absolutely no one in the town told him he had a child. I mean come on. (it's like saying Blake Shelton or Jason Aldean had a kid living in a small town somewhere and nobody ever told him about this long lost child) I was rolling my eyes half way through the dang book.

The narration was excellent though I loved the male narrator voice, he's brought this unrealistic okay at best story to life

Enjoyable

I likes this book but think they could have gone a little more in depth with his career and made his leaving her make a little more sense. The story was predictable when he returns, his manager could have caused more trouble and the ending was a compromise but still enjoyable.

I havent listened to an audiobook in quite sometime. This was the first one I decided to listen to and Im very happy I did!! It was such a good story. I didnt realize it was a series! Now I cant wait to listen to the rest!

A HEARTWARMING AND DELICIOUS ROM/COM

This lighthearted dual POV love story had a couple of loveable characters who wanted very different things out of life.. but, as the sweet sexy hero says you dont choose love - love chooses you. Simon and Bridget were in two very different places in their lives - they tried to just be friends.. however, their sizzling chemistry and mutual attraction couldnt be denied. And, before long, the carefree handsome charming twenty-nine yr old British Doctor is proposing naughty things, dirty-talking his way into her Monday Tuesday Wednesday etc etc... and unwittingly falling hard for the thirty plus yr old widowed Mom/Nurse. Bridget is a devoted Mom, shes cautious and diligent but somehow Simon weaves his charismatic ways into hers and her sons lives and theyd love him to stay there. Unfortunately though, thats not going to be possible because Simons planning to go back home to the UK after his internship and so their relationships got an end date.. but thankfully Fate and Destiny had other plans.

An easy-going romance with heart, heat and a loveable charmer who proves himself worthy over and over again. Its a fairly predictable yet totally addictive low angst story however these two talented authors still managed to add a jaw-dropping shocking twist that wow I didnt see coming. Despite tragedy in both their pasts there was an ease and playfulness to the story as Simon and Bridget just clicked together. With plenty of humorous scenes as the carefree droolworthy Playboy falls for the independent strong yet vulnerable Mom.. and her cute eight yr old son.

Worth a credit? Yes.. a perfectly narrated enjoyable and entertaining Rom/com that had flirty banter leading to passion, pleasures, love and sweet HEAs.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT

Really great story. Very hot and funny. A bit of a twist that was a surprise. Narration was excellent.
