    Ripped Off
It's not ethical to release half a book and charge readers for a full one. The previous books in this series, while being cliffhangers, did offer resolutionso of the main story and were much longer. This was clearly purely and solely a cynical exercise in upselling marketing by the publishers. Shame on you ! The narration was also overly dramatic which spoilt a good story.
    Horrible narration!!
ugh the girls voice was so whiney. Decent enough story but couldn't handle her voice at all. Nails on a chalkboard!!
    Get Sebastian York back PLEASE!
I'm hooked on the storyline but am having a hard time justifying the cost with these narrators. I fast forwarded through EVERY sex scene and the majority of the S&M parts because the voices just make me hate the characters. I fell in love with Jade & Talon but Jonah & Melanie make me want to pinch a kitten. I can't wait for Ryan's story to start- then I'll know if I should give up these expensive saga. Be careful and thoughtful who is chosen to finish this epic tale. Perhaps a random sample of audiobook listeners would help. I can't imagine anyone really listened to or compared the narrators. It breaks the story in this case like a textbook example of what to do right in the first 3 and what to do WRONG in the second 2 (3 I'm assuming). Spare us please.
    Addicting with Cliffhangers!
This won't come as a surprise to you if you've been following this series... it's another cliffhanger! This story seems to keep me coming back for more even though I hate cliffhangers. As with the last 4 books this story picks up at the end up the last book. This is one long story but 4-6 are told by a different brother which is kinda fun to get a different perspective but also have the story just keep going with the same secrets and the same basic story line from the beginning.
So far I have LOVED all of these book but I have to say this book found me rolling my eyes a few times. I don't know if it was my mood, the narration or the writing but I had a couple small issues. Johan's story has a little bit of an insta-love feel which I dislike more than cliffhanger and some of the "love scenes" are a little to mushy for this series. Also, there is a sex scene that he says/thinks "I shoved my face into her covered Vulva".... totally made me cringe and the rest of that sex scene was blah for me. Vulva just doesn't belong in a sex scene nor does it belong in a guys POV, IMHO. Besides that I really enjoyed the books and will be waiting for book 6.
Narration... Still not a big fan :(
Now here is the thing, If a male narrator can't do a female voice... he shouldn't because it really takes away from the story.

    Publisher: Louise Bay
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 1369 votes

    Publisher's Summary:
The prince of Park Avenue finally meets his match in a feisty Manhattan princess.
I've made every one of my billions of dollars myself - I'm calculating, astute and the best at what I do. It takes drive and dedication to build what I have. And it leaves no time for love or girlfriends or relationships. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a monk. I understand the attention and focus it takes to seduce a beautiful woman. They're the same skills I use to close business deals. But one night is where it begins and ends. I'm not the guy who sends flowers. I'm not the guy who calls the next day.
Or so I thought before an impatient, smart-talking, beyond beautiful heiress bursts into my world.
When Grace Astor rolls her eyes at me - I want to hold her against me and show her what she's been missing.
When she makes a joke at my expense - I want to silence her sassy mouth with my tongue.
And when she leaves straight after we f--k with barely a goodbye - it makes me want to pin her down and remind her of the three orgasms she just had.
She might be a princess but I'm going to show her who rules in this Park Avenue bedroom.
    A sexy, standalone, contemporary romance.

Park Avenue Prince Was A Work Of Art......
.... But Not Quite A Masterpiece!
    May Contain Spoilers;
Louise delivers another well written plot that's dialogue driven, with no wasted words or unnecessary details! It's an instant love story, that's both sweet and steamy, but the relationship between the characters was a battle of push / pull. I enjoyed both the H/h. Poor Grace, in the past she chose the wrong men, but I felt her character was strong, independent, and well rounded.
Sam's character was more interesting, and reminded me of a Phoenix. He rose above his past, worked hard to build his empire, but was never far from his roots. His character was down to earth, and not the typical billionaire, he wasn't concerned with materialistic things. Due to his past, he had a hard time connecting, and developing relationships with both friends and lovers. However, the more time he spent around Grace, the more he understood his deep seeded need to keep people at a distance.
The ending did feel rushed but overall, I enjoyed the story, and narration. The narration really made this audio, York and Arndt never disappoint. I used my credit, and didn't regret it.
    Nice Enough
I think Louise Bay just phoned this one in. This just felt like a book written following a formula. This was a nice enough romance with some heat but lacking the substance I've come to expect from Louise Bay. Fortunately, she enlisted two of the best narrators for romance audio. Andi and Sebastian make this story better than it really is.
Worth a reduced price but I don't think I would give a credit for it.
Same as every others of the author's books
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I enjoy Louise Bay's stories but this one was just seemed very amateur for her.

Are These Two Related To Rabbits?
This is an engaging romance between two people that avoided commitment and lived on different continents yet somehow found a way to forge a relationship. Who knew that boinking like rabbits could be a strong foundation to build on (wink, wink). I like this story and am really glad we got all three parts in one book, otherwise don't know if I would have finished the series. I have listened to a couple of other books by Louise Bay so now I'm always looking out for her next book. The narration was superb -- Sebastian York and Saskia Maarleveld are two of my favorite narrators. They did an amazing job making Anna and Ethan seem relatable.
    Frustrating Indecisiveness towards the end.
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
The beginning and middle were good but getting to the end was frustrating as both characters lost their strong well and became cripplingly insecure and indecisiveness.... I found myself saying 'just say it' over and over.
If youve listened to books by Louise Bay before, how does this one compare?
Not as good. Absolutely loved King of Wall Street and Indigo Nights.
What does Sebastian York and Saskia Maarleveld bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
York ALWAYS DELIVERS - a fav! First time listening to Saskia, she was good and it was nice and different to hear an English accent.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No, I would be screaming at the screen towards the end.
Another Great Audio for Louise Bay!
Louise Bay is a "new to me" author as all her audios released in 2016. I must say, I'm in LOVE. Her stories are low on angst, which I appreciate, yet high on steam, which I REALLY appreciate. There is no contrived, convoluted "Three's Company" moment that has to be overcome, just a story of super hot physical attraction turning to like, and eventually love.
The narration of this book is amazing. #kingofauralsex Sebastian York is always spot on for the quality of his work and very well cast for his character. Saskia Maarleveld is a narrator on my "go to" list for her voice acting skills and her English accent in Empire State is perfection-not too "posh" and very believable. Her ability to perform male voices is excellent, which is a rare talent for female narrators (in my experience), and I seek out her work based on that.
All in all, this is a fantastic listen and #wellworthacredit.
    Two side notes:
*I also really enjoyed Indigo Nights and King of Wall Street.

    WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED????
This series was trucking along just fine and then....this snore of a book 4. Oh my goodness, I almost didn't finish it and considered returning it. Not only was the narration a disappointment, although Alexander Cendese should've been a good fit--deep sexy voice, but way over dramatized everything he said, and then the overall progression of the storyline was lacking. I started to get a little confused because things were going in a circle--maybe that provided some mystique, I really don't know. It seemed like the author was struggling to stretch things out, and wouldn't you know it, there's a freaking cliffhanger! Unbelievable. I enjoyed all the preceding books until this one went off the rails. I really want all the pieces of this puzzle to come together and for that alone, I can't wait for book 5.
    Credit please!
So very disappointed by the whole story! Horrid narration. Why correct something that isn't broken? Cliffhanging pain!
I would like my credit back please!
    Horrible narration
Story line was ok but severely drawn out with no resolve at the end of the book. The narration was horrible, dry, and emotionless compared to all the others. Very disappointed.
WTF WHY WHY WHY!! NARRATORS RUINED IT
I have waited patiently for this book and you take excellent narrators and replace them with wet behind the ears narrators. Who does this? This has ruined the series for ME but if you feel you can overlook it I would like to know what other listeners think about it. I wish that casting agents would think these types of moves through because this was a bad change.
    Stop these narrators
The first three are Marvelous but once the story picks up with new narrators it nearly crashes and burns. I had to fast forward all the juicy parts due to both the female and male voices- I'm curious to see if either has narrated another book. I bought Burn to hear how the story continues but I'm truly disappointed how 2 voices can ruin a captivating tale. We'll see how and if I can tolerate to continue.

    Publisher's Summary:
Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant - hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.
Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark-haired beauty who doesn't bow down. Instead she throws a pie in his face.
Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.
Dating a prince isn't what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.
There's a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they've traded in horse-drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven't chopped anyone's head off lately, the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.
But to Olivia, Nicholas is worth it.
Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a king or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

    A TRUE ADULT FAIRYTALE
The Publisher's Summary is spot on but I'll give a little more detail without spoilers.
Wessco's economy isn't doing well so the Queen tells Nicholas that he's to marry. They agree he has until the end of summer to make the announcement. Then the Queen tells Nicholas he needs to go to Manhattan to attend some functions for her and bring Henry home. Henry, the Spare Heir, has finished serving the required two years in the queens military and is in the U.S. partying way too much.
Nicholas has his best friend Simon go to Manhattan with him along with his security team. He's upset about the marriage arrangement and is out late drunk walking. He goes into the coffee house that Olivia runs and her family owns. Nicholas is smitten with Olivia. The more she banters with him the more smitten he is so he offers her ten thousand dollars to go to bed with him. This is their story......
I adore Emma Chase. I have her Legal Briefs Series and her Tangled Series. I listen to these when I want fun and sexy. This story starts out with the Monarch history and I wasn't sure about it, but Emma Chase has never let me down so I kept listening and the story turned into fun, sexy, drama, suspense and twists. There's hot sex too.
Andi Arndt, one of my favorite female performers and Shane East gave a great performance.
Is it worth the Credit/$$ Absolutely. I enjoyed it so much I listened to it twice in a row.
    An Enchanting Swoon Worthy Tale!
Royally Screwed is perfect for the "romantic at heart" who loves a beautifully well written heart-warming story that will captivate, mesmerize and make you swoon. It's a similar to fairy tale plot about handsome prince who goes after the love of his life, and well on it's way to being a classic for future generations.
I remember reading fairytales like Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel and many more when I was a little girl. These stories fascinated me and I could easily read them over and over.

    Publisher's Summary:
The king of Wall Street is brought to his knees by an ambitious bombshell.
I keep my two worlds separate. At work, I'm King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I'm always right. I'm shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless. At home, I'm a single dad trying to keep his 14-year-old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there's a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right.
When Harper Jayne starts as a junior researcher at my firm, the barriers between my worlds begin to dissolve. She's the most infuriating woman I've ever worked with. I don't like the way she bends over the photocopier - it makes my mouth water. I hate the way she's so eager to do a good job - it makes my dick twitch. And I can't stand the way she wears her hair up exposing her long neck. It makes me want to strip her naked, bend her over my desk, and trail my tongue all over her body. If my two worlds are going to collide, Harper Jayne will have to learn that I don't just rule the boardroom. I'm in charge of the bedroom, too.
King of Wall Street is a sexy, standalone romance.

More interested in the side story than the main!
"The King of New York" takes a cab...hmmm! No! "The King of New York" lives in a building; penthouse or not, that has studio apartments...that's another, NO! Custom Italian handmade suits that only cost $3k. Another NO! "The King of New York's" daughter is in the basement of said building doing laundry. No! WTF. And is living in the same building as one of his entry level employee's. hahahaha NOT!
If you are in the mood for INSTA love. This is the book for you! If you don't care about the character fitting the mold the author sets up for you; then again this is for you. This just was a no go for me. I listen to most of my book at 1.5. To get this over with I listened at 2.5 while doing a million other things.
Harper's relationship with her father and the fact she had a best friend that actually gave great advice was the most interesting part of the story to me.
    Narrator's were great! 4 STARS!
Checkmate! A Win-Win Story and Narration!
This is the first story I've listened to by Louise Bay and it ticked off everything I love in a steamy romance. A captivating plot, well developed characters, realistic dialogue, chemistry and some very steamy sex scenes. King of Wall Street was a heart warming plot who's H/h had a funny and rocky start, but things quickly heat up as the sexual tension between them ignite. Bay did an outstanding job developing the chemistry and romance between these characters.
    Some spoilers;
Harper has inspired to work for Max King. She's followed his career and while going to college she has groomed herself to be a perfect fit for his firm. When she lands her dream job at this firm as a junior assistant, her "new career bliss" is shattered. She quickly learns King is infuriating, demanding, and critical of her work, even if he gets her heart racing.
Max King knows he's hard on Harper. He doesn't intentionally try to be harder, but he's been attracted to her from the beginning and is trying to keep their working relation professional and distance between them.

    Misleading
The title and blurb may lead a reader to think that this book will be about a downsized librarian starting over with a mobile bookstore, which does begin the story. Throughout, however, there is the sense that, for a literary exploration, or for women's fiction, or even a slice-of-life meditation on bibliophilia as a coping tool, something is always off: too melodramatic, too one-dimensional, too contrived, too histrionic. And then, three fourths of the way through the book, the reader realizes that this book is a formulaic "romance": staged misunderstandings, obsessive insecurities, noncommittal sex, and all. The descriptions of the Scottish Highlands are vivid and invigorating, and the book recommendations for certain problems and character types are thought-provoking or just laugh-out-loud fun. But the main character's blithe disregard for other people's feelings, safety, privacy, emotional needs, and vulnerabilities may wear on a reader who doesn't realize all this occasionally aggravating plot is going to be about will be learning to bond through sex. This may be a very good read for romance fans. Unfortunately, I went from loving the narrator's handling of each voice (except the protagonist's) and sharing the excitement about starting over with a bookstore of withdrawn books to hating the thought of slogging through one more minute of the main character's sexual forays and whining self-centeredness.
    Good Summer Read
It's slow in the beginning as the characters are introduced and timid, sweet Nina is overshadowed by the others. After Chapter 5, it picks up as it follows Nina on her journey in finding meaning for others through books and finding where she belongs in the world. This book would be a good languid, summer read.
    Heartwarming
It has been a while since I've had an opportunity to read a book. The description of this one peaked my interest. I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved this book. I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the choices Nina was faced with and I was on the fence about how they would turn out. I adored Nina's innocent character. I found myself rooting for her and also falling in love with everyone that she fell in love with. This book would appeal to romance readers and booklovers.
A cozy one - time listen
Like homemade candy:Unique. The end came when we felt in the middle. Need the next!
    Cute and Cosy
Why is there no 3.5 rating? This is sentimental literary girl text, predictable but with some interesting plot curves. Undemanding background story to enjoy while your hands are otherwise occupied.

    meh
meh to the story, meh to the narrator. I kept waiting for something else to happen. just meh.
    Loved it all!
Such a sweet heart warming story! I didn't want the book to ever end. Loved!
    Slow pace read
I will start off by saying, I love reading Carolyn Brown books, of course there is a but. This read was so slow, by the eighth chapter the book was still snoozing along. This book was not my cup of tea, if I wasn't listening to it at work, I don't think I would had finished it. I even tried to get into the narrator, but it appeared as if she was reading the book and ended each sentence with an abrupt ending, I not impressed.
    Sweet story
Classic cheesy romance, but definitely delivers on the heartwarming and hope giving element. I would recommend this if you're looking for a book that is easy to follow and enjoyable.
    Just bad
Simply looking for a fluff book to pass the time. Despite my low expectations this book was painful to get through. The narration is so bad I literally cringed several times throughout the book. The story line was so simple & unbelievable that it too was cringe worthy. Characters had no depth & were not relatable and all challenges were magically resolved & wrapped up in a little bow. I don't usually review but I felt the need to warn others about such a horrid experience. Ugh!

    Narration
This was a pretty good story. However the Narrator was terrible, she made the male sound like a crotchety old man and the female sound like a silly teen. I did finish this story, but was tempted to read it instead of listening to it. I took note of the readers name and will avoid anything she does.
    hard to listen to Narrator
Story was ok. Basic and familiar story line, but the Narrator was awful. Hard to distinguish what was a thought from actual dialog and the voices for men and women were cartoonish and irritating to listen to. If she had done the character voices like her own 'narration' parts, it may have been easier to listen to.
    Voice acting was terrible
The story itself was entertaining. The narration was terrible. Especially Leenas voice. All the women spoke in fake whispering voices that I found demeaning to the characters. It was also difficult to tell when one of the characters was having thoughts or dialogue. The men had angry and forceful voices that was not necessarily called for in the dialogue. I will be avoiding books narrated by Robin Rowan
classic cheesy romance but read poorly
most of the female voices sounded breathless. very annoying. tone didn't always seem to match with what was being said. very distracting.
    Horrible Narrator!
What disappointed you about One White Lie?
I could not get past the second chapter because the narrator's voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard. The female voice sounded like a 60 year old woman trying to sound like a child and the male's voice was whiny. Ugh! Who cares if the story is good or not if you can't get past that annoying narration?
Has One White Lie turned you off from other books in this genre?
I'll make a note of the narrator and never listen to another book read by her.
What didnt you like about Robin Rowans performance?
Why is this person performing professionally? Really - why?
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from One White Lie?
I don't know. I couldn't get past the second chapter.
    Any additional comments?
I'd rather listen to a college professor drone on incessantly about history than listen to another book performed by this narrator.

    Just so wonderful...
The fake fiance trope is one of my favorites and Noelle Adams put her wonderful touch to this sweet engaging tale. Sarah works for Jonathan in a lab in Iceland and has been in love with him for several years. One of the things I like best about this author is her ability to tell a tale in a myriad of settings. Her romances are set around the world. You are never bored with her settings. Jonathan's uncle funds the lab and, as his only guardian, wants Jonathan to settle down. Hence, the fake fiance. The characters are very engaging. Sarah was an ugly duckling as a child and has blossomed into a luscious young woman. Jonathan, whose personality sounds like he should have been classified somewhere on the Aspergers scale, is gruff yet sweet. What I loved about this book is the author's deft hand with the characters. How we find out so much about them in only a few pages. We know that Sarah is loved by her family but her social life has been limited. Jonathan's life was lonely and this affected him greatly to the point where he is unable to form meaningful connections with people. But anyone who has read any of these types of romances knows where the story goes so I don't have to tell you that. Just know that Noelle Adams' classic ever so hot touch to their coming together is solidly at work here. Oh my, sizzling hot. This is yet another reason why this author is an auto buy for me. I don't even read the synopses for her books anymore - I just one click it!!
    Geeking over this book!
I love this book! Love it! Love it! Love! it!!! I've read countless books about Alpha males, rockstars, celebrities, and the list goes on, but I loved how the main character in this book, Jonathan Damon, was a geek! I know, it sounds weird but there's something so appealing about intelligent book characters. Usually the female main character is the insecure one who can't express her feelings, but in this book, this isn't the case. I love how Jonathan was so powerful, strong, handsome, yet, didn't know his worth. He was adorable, but stunning at the same time.
Only one thing matters to scientist, Jonathan Damon. His scientific research. But his uncle is threatening to stop funding his lab unless he shows interest in marriage and building a family. But how can he show his uncle he's interested in those two things if he really isn't? Simple. He intends to bring a fake fiancee to his cousins wedding to appease his uncle and keep the funding.
