    Publisher's Summary:
Second in the USA-Today best-selling Pacific Horizons series! In these connected romantic novels, characters facing tragedy, heartbreak, and painful family secrets are drawn to the wild beauty of the natural world. Breaching whales and howling wolves refresh their spirits, but only human love can heal their souls....
One horrible night 15 years ago, a little girl named Maddie was taken away from the island paradise she treasured, the townspeople she loved, and the playmate who shared her soul.
Now, she's coming back to them.
Maddie was only a child in those idyllic, carefree days when she and her best friend Kai swam in the ocean, fished, hiked, and stargazed on the tropical island of Lana'i. At 25, she realizes that her memories of those elementary-school days may have been romanticized, given that the months following her mother's sudden death and her own unwilling departure from Lana'i were the worst of her life. But she has never given up her dream of returning to the people she cared about. Not when warm images of the boy Kai's face continue to haunt her mind.
Having contrived to do post-doctoral research studying feral cats on the neighboring island of Maui, bold-from-birth Madalyn Westover isn't afraid to show up out of nowhere and say hello. Nor is she afraid to track down Kai, despite several nebulous warnings about how much he has changed. But when she realizes that every man, woman and child in Lana'i City seems to have mysterious knowledge about her own family which she does not, Maddie doesn't feel so brave anymore. And when reality crashes into fantasy full force, she must decide in whom and what she can trust to find her own true home.

    2.5 scenes were too descriptive
I really liked the first one and was looking forward to this but this was so descriptive that it took it to 30% before the 2 of them ever came face to face. A book doesn't have to be filled with gratuitous sex but the author spent so much time going over and over and over the back ground that there was little dialogue between any of the characters. Once she got around to the dialogue it was great and I would hv liked to read a lot more of that than describing the house as it is now and then again as it was and that it hasn't changed much. I skipped a lot of this one and the fact that the author made a point of saying she wasn't done with the first couple and wanted to revisit them they only appeared in a total of 3 scenes. I do like how this author takes societal problems and how she tries to solve them but frankly the fact that Maddy was still fending off PHYSICAL andvances by men bc of the way she was built was kind of overdone. I could see once or twice but the author had her being accosted almost everywhere she went. Suffice it to say that I had plenty of experience in unwanted advances from the time I was 15 and I learned with a look how to back them off. She certainly should have been able to do so by the time she was 25. Sometimes, yes, men are idiots, even with pepper spray being pointed straight at their face. I just found that whole thing overdone.
Stunning scenery and an intriguing story.
What an interesting story. This book was quite different in that our heroine, Maddie had an usual problem to deal with and also a very tragic past that was a bit of a mystery. This is a story on an emotional and mental level.

    Thought provoking story
This took me well over a week to read because I had to keep putting it down out of complete frustration with Sadie and the decisions she made. I am a firm believer in turning inwards to your husband if you are unhappy in your marriage, not outside of it. However, there were many bad decisions made by all involved in this story.
Sadie has been married to Nathan for seven years and it would be fair to say that they are deeply in love. Nathan put his wife on a pedestal from the moment their relationship begun and Sadie has become accustomed to receiving this attention from him. Everything he does is with her in mind, he always puts her needs before his.
This is the crux of the beginning of their problems. When Nathan discovers something about their relationship that she has kept hidden from him, he completely closes himself off from Sadie. He does this for over two months. For the first time in their relationship she feels alone and insignificant. No matter what she says or does she cannot get Nathan to open up to her.
When a new neighbour moves into their building things begin to unravel more. Finn is sweet, handsome and really easy to talk to. Nathan may be shutting Sadie out but Finn is willingly letting her into his life. He is filling the pieces of Sadie's life that Nathan has vacated and feelings are growing between Sadie & Finn.
There were a lot of moments when I was reading this that I stopped because I was unhappy with the storyline and also at times I was reflecting on my own relationship with my husband, who also treats me the way Nathan is with Sadie. I even asked my husband if he thought I was lazy and if he felt like I took him for granted, the answer was 'no babe' by the way!
I guess this could happen to any couple in any marriage. I really loved Nathan, he was such a sweet man who was struggling to deal with the way his wife had deceived him. I did not think for one moment that he had stopped loving Sadie, he was just trying to deal. I found Sadie very self centred and hard to like as a female character. I completely understood her frustration about her husband not opening up to her and how rejected she felt, after spending seven years being adored by him.
I thought that Finn was a really nice guy and that in another time he and Sadie could have been meant for each other. However, I also felt like he should have stepped back, knowing how vulnerable Sadie was when she met him.

    Loved Katie and Jacob's story
This is a lovely short story of two hurting people. Katie's hurt was due to her outward appearance after a fire and Jacob's from the loss of a loved one. Then seven years later when both come to the rescue of the other they find out the power that love has to heal. I loved this story of healing through love.
    The burnt Amish Girl
I really enjoyed this book very much. I love reading Amish Romance books. Katie had it in her head that she wasn't worthy of having a man's love. Jacob's notice Katie trying to hide her scars but he made her feel good about herself. Eventually they did fall in love.
    Great story, but short!
I really enjoy this story very much, but didn't realize that it was a short story when I started reading it. I was disappointed that it ended so quickly!
    To short
I loved the plot in this book. I just wish it would've been longer
    A Very Quick Read
A lovely little story. Love can be hard to find yet sometimes right under our noses and we not see it. A good lesson in paying attention to what God is placing in our path. A very quick read but with a very poignant point.

    Love - on the rocks...
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a brokenhearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that come with her.
Lydia Green doesn't know whether to scream or cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing altogether. Just when this runaway bride has nowhere left to turn, a handsome stranger offers her a broad, muscular shoulder to cry on. Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessmen she's normally drawn to. This former musician turned bartender is rough around the edges and is facing his own crossroads. But Lydia's already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong. Maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.
After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?
Dirty is the first audiobook in the Dive Bar series from best-selling author Kylie Scott.
    Critic Reviews:
"Narrator Andi Arndt highlights Lydia's deadpan humor, traversing her changing feelings with elegant proficiency. Vaughan and Lydia's conversations and sexual encounters feature distinct voices that match their genders and personalities. Lydia's voicing is lower, with pure, sweet undertones, while Vaughan's maintains a rough edge. Arndt conveys Vaughan's uncertainty about his shaky music career and his awkward attempts to chart a new course." (AudioFile)

Another Home Run for Andi Arndt & Kylie Scott!
Just finished Dirty by Kylie Scott narrated by Andi Arndt. Let me tell you, I LOVE STAGE DIVE...HARD but Dirty is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! Kylie Scott always makes me laugh, get a little weepy, and worry. I love Lydia so much. She's one of the best heroines ever, imho. Ballsy but still doubts herself, hilarious, confident, kind, and not rail thin!! Holy crap, she's fluffy!
If you haven't listened to Kylie Scott's books, please do. Andi Arndt absolutely kills them. She turns a great amazing book into an out of this world event. I really really love the little world they create where I can escape and spend time with some fantastic characters. Well done ladies! I can't wait for the next Dive Bar audiobook!!
OH THE JOYS OF ANOTHER GREAT LISTEN
It's an auto download for me when it comes to Kylie Scott's books because I know I'm going to be thoroughly entertained by her loveable and well developed characters who capture your imagination as well as your heart. She immediately has you locked and drawn into their lives, loves, dreams and dramas as each story deliciously unfolds throwing in humor, witty banter, passion and sex along the way too.
And this first book in her new Dive series had all the usual ingredients that makes her books addictive, unstoppable and pretty damn awesome. Vaughan and Lydia's love story was so well written and described that I could picture each scene.... from a shell-shocked bride hiding out in a strangers bath - to the tear filled reunion and declaration of undying love.... and all the highs and lows in between. But it was Andi Arndt's narration that brought it alive, gave the hero a sexy voice and made it such an enjoyable audiobook. Told from Lydia's POV.
    Worth a credit? Oh YEAH....

    Publisher's Summary:
In New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Kristen Proby's brand-new series, five best friends open a hot new restaurant, but one of them gets much more than she bargained for when a sexy former rock star walks through the doors - and into her heart.
Seduction is quickly becoming the hottest new restaurant in Portland, and Addison Wade is proud to claim one-fifth of the credit. She's determined to make it a success and can't think of a better way to bring in new customers than live music. But when former rock star Jake Keller swaggers through the doors to apply for the weekend gig, she knows she's in trouble. Addie instantly recognizes him - his posters were plastered all over her bedroom walls in high school - and he's all bad boy...exactly her type and exactly what she doesn't need.
Jake Keller walked away from the limelight five years ago and yearns to return to what's always driven him: the music. If he gets to work for a smart-mouthed, funny-as-hell bombshell, all the better. But talking Addie into giving him the job is far easier than persuading her that he wants more than a romp in her bed.
Just when she begins to drop her walls, Jake's past finally catches up with him. Will Addie be torn apart once again, or will Jake be able to convince her to drown out her doubts and listen to her heart?

    so disappointing ..
Would you try another book from Kristen Proby and/or Sebastian York and Arielle DeLisle ?
I've very much enjoyed many books narrated by S. York .. he didn't sound like he was enjoying the story either. Arielle is a good narrator, just a stupid story, probably my last K. Proby book.
What was most disappointing about Kristen Probys story?
same tired old story .. one big cliche.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
the performances were ok, the content was boring boring boring.
What character would you cut from Listen to Me?
    difficult question ..
    Any additional comments?
this sounded like a good book and it wasn't .. very disappointed.
    Addy and Jake were entertaining
This audiobook was well narrated and engaging. I listened to it fairly quickly as the story was smooth and flowed really well.
Addison Wade and four other friends owned a restaurant called Seduction together. In order to add more flavor to their establishment, they decided to hire a singer to perform there. During auditions, Jake Keller, former lead singer of a defunct boy band, performed a song and made an impression. He was eventually hired to play at Seduction.
Jake made his interest in Addison known fairly quickly, but Addison who had a pennant for bad boy rockers tried her best to resist him. Eventually, Jake wore her down and they began dating.
The story was told using a Dual Point of View with two narrators so we could spend equal time in Jake and Addys head. They were both working out past issues that were added weight to their new blossoming relationship. Addison used to be a model but was now considered too curvy. Jake had overcome addiction and now worked hard to remain sober and present in his new reality. They were both really likable characters and their respective friends added a nice supporting cast to this love story. I cant say the story was dissimilar to books in this genre but it was entertaining nonetheless. I couldnt put it down because I really connected with Addison and loved Jake as a hero too.

    Disappointed with the Ending!
Would you try another book from Sylvia Day and/or Jill Redfield and Jeremy York ?
I am very disappointed with Sylvia Day's ending to the Gideon and Eva story. I have been waiting over a year for the end of this love story...this life story the evolution of their lives and friends and family. One with You did not have the ending that we were all waiting for. I felt that the book did not tie everyone's story together and give it the happy after ending. I enjoyed Jill Redfield and Jeremy York they did a great job narrating like always.
What other book might you compare One with You to and why?
None... i was very dissapointed. i have read many other books with better endings.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from One with You?
I did not like the ending ...all the last 20% of the book. They threw in a plot different than what we had been reading in the last 4 books. I felt it came out of no where. Why focus on Monica at all? To alter the ending for Monica was not a great idea.
    Any additional comments?
We don't get the Beautiful wedding that we were all anticipaiting for since book 3.We don't get to see closure for many of the characthers. Cary and the baby? Gideon's brother Christopher? Mark and Steven's wedding? Eva's new job? what happened with Corrine? so many characthers stories felt like they were passed up by the waistline for a plot about Monica that came out of no where? what about Stanton? The Epilouge should have been 1 year into their marriage and tying up where everyone is now? I felt that it was a poorly written book for the amount of time we had to wait for it to come out.. i almost wish i got my money back! big DISAPPOINTMENT. I looked so forward to this book every month checking to see when it was coming out for a year. so sad!
I want a do over,it was not worth the long wait.
I listened to this book twice before I wrote this review so that I could give as much positive feed back as possible. I love the Crossfire Series and I love GidEva they are my favorite characters of all time. I have read over 452 books in this genre. I want to say that it was a great story with a great ending but I can't.

    The Lighter Side of McAvoy
This is a light, contemporary romance from a typically dark romance writer. With humor and flirty banter, a professor and a student fall for one another without knowing. Then it grows deeper and is irresistible so the main characters embrace the new relationship while they search for a truth and heal each other. Uniquely written with a tight storyline and good secondary characters. So, so good.
The Verdicts In .... Five Solid Stars!
I loved, LOVED, this story and performance! It was AWESOME! And I am soooo ashamed to admit I freakin` couldn't turn it off! I was literally up till after 3:30am when the story finally ended. Thank goodness, I didn't have to work today!
Kudos to Aubrey Vincent and Marcio Catalano for such an spectacular performance! This is the first audiobook I've listened to narrated with Aubrey and she was great. I've listened to some of Marcio's other books, and dang he just keeps getting better with each story! This duo owned it, and brought the story and characters to life, and totally captivated me!
Black Rainbow drew me in with such a well developed plot, excellent characters, tons of sexual tension, and weaved in enough drama and suspense, I was hooked from chapter one.
Well worth my time (even if I'm sleep deprived), definitely worth a credit, or sale, but I have a fellow Audible member that I follow to thank for connecting me to such a great story! I knew you had great taste!
    WOW!!!
I loved every minute of this book. Thia and Levi was so good together. smart, sexy and heated is what i will call it.
    Hot, sexy and hilarious!!!
This book has everything..... from hot and steamy sex scenes with funny and outlandish banter. The narrator's are fantastic with panty dropping voices...did I forget to mention that it's HOT!!!
    Great love story with twists
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I found this dual narration audio to be refreshing. It is an original storyline and the narrators did a great job conveying feelings. The book also has some humor.
What did you like best about this story?
    I loved the unexpected twists.
Which character as performed by Aubrey Vincent and Marcio Catalano was your favorite?
I loved both of the main characters. The dual narrators did a great job.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! I listened to this book in 1 sitting.

    Pleasantly surprised!
I'd never heard anything by this author before, and am so glad I stumbled across this book! There is honest depth to the story, AND some excellent hot & steamy bits. Liking forward to listening to the next one because, duh, Kate Rudd is one of the best narrators out there!
    Beck's character development is phenomenal
I shy away from explicit novels, as they aren't my thing. This novel by Jamie Beck refrained from much of the cliché romance novel-esque wording and while I fast forwarded through the few explicit parts, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Beck develops her characters meticulously, and her storyline is fantastic. I appreciated her attention to details and the quality her book possessed. Great read.
So boring, I deserve a medal for finishing it
Boring romance with barely any climax to the story. The narrator had a voice that was dead with whiny inflections. I will add this narrator to my list of never again.
fun story, I enjoyed it! excellent narration.
fun story, I enjoyed it! excellent narration, I liked her variations on the voices.
the conflict throughout the story got a little old after awhile, but I enjoyed the journey of Avery and Grey.
    Great read
Great story that moved quickly. The narration was perfect. The struggles with loyalties and emotions were realistic and tugs at your heart. The ending will have you in tears. Great read!

    Shocking that I liked this!
although some of the subject matter was graphic I really liked this story. lots of plot twist right from the start. I was hook from the first chapter. though dark it was thrilling. will listen to this again and soon.
    ONE WORD..... EPIC
A book lasting 26 hours is a daunting thought but when you're suddenly hurled into Nora and Julian's terrifying world you just want to walk with them through more and more and even more. What an emotional ride Anna Zaires took me on with jaw-dropping reactions at the sensational dramatic twists, gripping suspense, heart-pounding highs and earth shattering lows. Three books rolled into one and I'm so pleased and grateful that I didn't need to wait anxiously for the next book to be released as the cliffhangers slowly came into sight.
Nora didn't get what she wanted for her Birthday..... instead she gets kidnapped by a breathtakingly handsome stranger she very briefly met at a Bar one night but she could never ever have imagined what he had planned for her..... or how it would devastatingly or wonderfully affect and change her life, her thoughts, her sexual desires and her way of thinking. Because Julian was a Sadist and a Sociopath who totally lacked any conscience or morals over his actions.... he wanted so he took.... and what he wanted was Nora. But pretty soon she became his obsession as well as his possession, his Achilles Heel, his distraction and eventually his saviour, his salvation and his whole world. However, first he had to break her, train her, possess her, mould her and show her that she was irrevocably forever his, his pet, to do with as he pleased.... and he wanted to do it often!! He was a beautiful monster..... handsome, self assured, confident, charismatic, frightening, charming and a very sexually skilled and demanding lover but underneath lay a controlling monster.
You'd think that you'd hate him but somehow, like Nora experienced, he gets under your skin and, in his way, he's kind, considerate, loyal and very thoughtful over everything to do with looking after Nora providing everything she could possibly want.... except her freedom. His personality traits are explained and then understood when shared later in the story. This is a very dark, gritty and raw romance which includes rape, BDSM, lots of scorching hot passion-filled sex scenes and a Sub/Dom type relationship.

When one story ends, another begins. The sequel to the beloved New York Times million-copy best seller Me Before You.
How do you move on after losing the person you loved? How do you build a life worth living?
Louisa Clark is no longer just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. After the transformative six months spent with Will Traynor, she is struggling without him. When an extraordinary accident forces Lou to return home to her family, she can't help but feel she's right back where she started.
Her body heals, but Lou herself knows that she needs to be kick-started back to life. Which is how she ends up in a church basement with the members of the Moving On support group, who share insights, laughter, frustrations, and terrible cookies. They will also lead her to the strong, capable Sam Fielding - the paramedic whose business is life and death and the one man who might be able to understand her. Then a figure from Will's past appears and hijacks all her plans, propelling her into a very different future....
For Lou Clark, life after Will Traynor means learning to fall in love again, with all the risks that brings. But here Jojo Moyes gives us two families, as real as our own, whose joys and sorrows will touch you deeply and where both changes and surprises await.
After You is quintessential Jojo Moyes - a novel that will make you laugh, cry, and rejoice at being back in the world she creates. Here she does what few novelists can do - revisits beloved characters and takes them to places neither they nor we ever expected.

Doesn't come close to, Me Before You.
This was a very average book following an amazing book. It does describe how the tragedy of assisted suicide goes on to affect the survivors for he rest of their lives. Some of the plot was a bit far-fetched,however it was a decent story. If you fell in love with Louisa from the first book you will probably enjoy this one, but it's not a stand- alone book. I can't say I didn't enjoy it - it just doesnt come close to,Me Before You.
Meets the challenge of following Before You.
The first book left me drained of emotion and concerned that a sequel could measure up. I need not have worried. After You was a beautiful walk through the grieving process and sharing the "Waking up and moving on." The characters are engaging and lovable. I hated to see this one end, but it left me elated and satisfied. Wonderful story.
Fine, but not as good as Me Before You
Jojo Moyes' books really do not fit into my favorite genres, but the powerful story Me Before You caught my attention. I later read The Girl You Left Behind and liked it. After You simply does not have the impact of either of the books mentioned above. The narration is fine, but the single narrator simply is not as good as the multiple narrators used in the other two novels.
After You.. Comes a Lot of Drama
This second book of the "Me Before You" series didn't keep me up late reading. This novel loses the character depth and insight of the first book, and is comprised of a string of "mini" dramas.
