Do not read negative reviews! This was a new favorite!

I have listened to 100s of audiobooks and the was by far one of my favs! Well written, interesting characters and story. I will not forget Josh and Lucy anytime soon! Treat yourself to a funny, cute, lovable story with a fantastic narrator! This one will be hard to follow!

Slow Burn!

Very enjoyable SLOW BURN! Loved the writing style and the story line. The characters were fun and realistic and the love story was sweet. Very light on sex and the one sex scene is very PG. The narration is not bad, It would have been better as a dual narration.

Didn't want it to end!

What did you love best about The Hating Game?

Sally Thorne has done it -- a rare 5-star review from me. But, because everyone is looking for something different in a read, I'll describe why I loved it. Her pacing of the book is deliciously excruciating... the story arc builds slowly and credibly, with depth and realistic scenarios. The characters are flawed and believable. The "steam" factor is hot not because of crude language and hyperbole, but because of her descriptions and ability to capture the eroticism of their inner thoughts. The narrator did an excellent job of voicing Lucy -- I think she was the perfect pick to capture Lucy's inner monologues. She did a nice job with Joshua's voice, but it was hard at times to distinguish between what he was saying and what he was thinking. Overall, it was a fantastic listen, and I will be on the lookout for her next book.

What other book might you compare The Hating Game to and why?

The buildup between Joshua and Lucy was similar to that of Dex and Rachel's in 'Something Borrowed' by Emily Giffin.

Passionate, Realistic, Hopeful!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bend?

There were more than one but here is the one that hurt me the most...

When Jay showed up in church and Mia was already hurting and beyond devastated and to see him standing there without any warning at all just made her grief hurt even more.

What about Bunny Warren and Matthew Holland s performance did you like?

I have never heard of these two before this book but they absolutely BLEW my mind away.

They were so so so great with their performance and did beyond amazing.

I even had to write to author directly and brag about how crazy good they were.

I loved the book and its story before and now I love it even more!!!

I have the desire to listen to it again this very instant:

Once again, Colleen Hoover does not disappoint!

Where to begin? Colleen Hoover spun her words and drew me into her web. I devoured this book in a day. She makes you fall in love with her characters. Lily is a strong heroine that you root for. Both male leads implant themselves into your heart. I can't say much more without spoilers but I can say that this is a must read. Olivia Song does this story justice with her narration. I anxiously await the next Colleen Hoover book.

What an amazing book! I got 2 hours of sleep last night because I couldn't stop listening! This is a very powerful book about strength, courage and prevailing! I am one of those people who see someone going through something and think why don't you just walk away or why let things happen to you...this book made me understand that it's not always so black and white. I always admit that I have no empathy for people (it's just not part of who I am I guess), I think with my brain not my heart most of the time and for the 1st time I honestly feel like I see that it's not always so easy to see things as right or wrong, good and bad or cut and dry, for the first time I actually see the grey area and completely understand it. Seeing what I've been ignorant too all my life is breaking my heart now.

Narrator Issues

I liked the story well enough, but I think I would have liked it a lot more had I read it, rather than listened to it. (That's what I get for trying to multitask.)

I did not care for the narrator at all. She didn't seem to have the feel of the story down or understand how people would realistically speak to one another.

My 13 year old son, who could hear the story being played over our Amazon Echo, came in at one point and said, "Mom, that's the worst reading I've ever heard! No one says stuff like that."

I couldn't agree more, son.

Can't believe I actually listened to the whole thing. The premise is interesting, but the story dragged and I did not like the epilogue at all.

This was a great story, but the narrator was horrible. She was way to automated.

I was disappointed in this previously well reviewed book. I was also disappointed in the readers mispronunciation of several words. The story will most likely appeal to young romantic readers. Ah well!

This book was like a cheesy lifetime movie or soap opera. So unrealistic!! Drug out way too long. The person reading the book was a step above the kindle app reader. So monotone. How did this book ever get published. I have wasted hours of my time.

This story broke my heart for one reason...Presley. From the moment the story begins, you can't help but feel for this heroine who's life has spun completely out of her control. And as the story unveils, you realize this has always been an issue in her life. She's NEVER been the one in control. That was true with her teenage romance with Zach and it was sure the truth about how things ended with her husband. She's simply trying to survive with her heart partially intact...for her twin sons. Honestly, if it weren't for the boys, I don't think she would have even tried to regain her life. Yeah, my heart broke for her and the story is written brilliantly so that as the reader you can really empathize with what she's going through.

The other side of that is Zach. He and Presley were totally in love through high school and the beginning of college. But Zach's other love was baseball. That was his ultimate goal...a pro baseball career, so when he got the opportunity, he jumped at it, expecting Presley to follow. She didn't. He's never forgiven her for that. She's never forgiven her for choosing baseball over her. And she's never been back home because it hurt too much. Every single place at home reminds her of what she lost with Zach. What she doesn't realize when she comes home this time is that Zach has returned too. So not only will she be facing the memories, but she will also have to learn how to coexist with Zach in the same space.

There's so much emotion in this book. It was a great read/listen. The narrators also do a phenomenal job. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, even more so than I expected to. Although I shouldn't have underestimated the book because it's been in the top 100 for months now. I'm also excited to read the stories for the other Hennington brothers. I'm just hoping that as soon as they release, they are also available in audio, because this was a great listen and I'd love to have the same experience for the other two books in the series.

Worth it

I had read the book for Corinne Michaels' Say You'll Stay, but I received a copy of the audible as a gift. Andi Arndt and Sebastian York do a wonderful job on the narration. Even though I knew the story, their presentation still brought me to tears and laughter. Do yourself a favor and listen to this story. You won't regret it.

Had my full attention.

It caught me from the beginning. Narrators were great. it had drama mixed with sarcasm and a little banter. Loved it.

Great story

Was really liking the first book where the story starts, cliffhanger had to see what happens so bought this one, now am pretty ticked about having to purchase the next one to finish the story or maybe that one will be a another cliffhanger. Am very disappointed in authors who do this. I Like the characters and story line but feel like this is a rotten way to sell books.

rip off

at least the story on this 2nd book was better than the first however I find it a complete rip off to have to purchase 3 books in order to get an ending. it should have been been one book. this is like have other novels you've read, cut into thirds, with no ending at all to the first to, like the chapter ends so in order to get any ending to the story, you have to purchase all books. It's like paying for individual chapters of any book. The narater sounds like she's a valley girl from California vs. a girl from Colorado. I would not recommend this series.

the first book was great and the story in this one was too but there were times it came off a little too fifty shades of grade and Jade turned into this weak pathetic girl as opposed to the strong woman she was in the first. Talon just came off as too controlling. not the biggest fan of this one

EXCELLENT "DISCOVERY" !!!!!

I had never heard of, read nor listened to Louise Bay before, so this author and this listen was a very welcome discovery for me. The plot, the wording, the timing was on point, and it was not an incomplete serial. Indigo Nights was hot-hot, not nasty (there is a difference); I enjoyed the listen very much. AND of course there was SEBASTIAN YORK and Andi Arndt!! I will be listening to more of Ms. Bay's work.

Dylan's romancing after Beth left for London. He is perfect.

Everything. The emotion in their voice put me in Beth and Dylan's heads. They made me feel the story.

I can't say I had any extreme reactions but I did love the book and the audio.

I like how Beth was independent women and the challenges she faced, she didn't go back to drinking. We need more positive stories like this book.

Dylan is very interesting and sexy, I like how he didn't allowed his ex-wife to get back into his life.

No one can eat that much cake and not get fat

If they weren't having sex, they were eating cake. I'm sure the sequel to this book would have to include Weight Watchers.

When you only buy a book for the narrator

Sabastion York is what makes this whole book tolerable. No plot, just sex. You expect more, however the author drops great opportunities in order to add more dry sex.

New narrator,finally

I previously reviewed this book, but it has been done with a different narrator and that is all to the good. I enjoy all Nora Roberts books and will relisten to this series with the new narrator. The last couple who read these books were awful. I periodically go back to books that I had a hard time enjoying because the narrators were not a good match to see if they've been updated. Thankfully, this series has been and I will try again.

Spot-on!

Another winner for Nora Roberts! Even though the trilogy series get predictable after a while I enjoy that about them. Just a couple of things that drove me crazy throughout the book. Referring to the gun magazines as clips! That's not what they are! The magazine holds the bullets. And every time the characters said damn skippy! Not to sound too Hermione here but it's Damne SKIPPY, not DAMN skippy.

I'm very much looking forward to the third in the trilogy! Write like the wind and get that going!

This book gave me a bad feeling...

It's like listening to a five-year-old talk about sex.

Then I had to skip through the parts where the one with the five-year-old mentality had sex.

I'm sorry, it is just my opinion, but the mermaid just comes across that way. I'm sure I am not the only one who thinks this.

If that wasn't part of the book I would've given it four stars. I'm really hoping that the third book can save this trilogy.

The story line is kind of fun in a Buffy meets The Librarians sort of way, but yeah, I was put off.

outstanding adventure

I loved it! The hunt continues with battles, loyalty, love and drama.. The character interactions are both touching and humorous. Nora Roberts wreaves an outstanding adventure .

Love the book!

Love the book, and Jacob Morgan's performance was perfect. However, C.J. Bloom really hurt it. She's usually horrible and over dramatizes what's happening, but the producer or director actually kept that in check. But her male voice is almost unbearable. It's like the voice of an 80-year-old, pack-a-day smoker. Not sexy, but the story was very sexy.

#Porn Star

Would you consider the audio edition of Porn Star to be better than the print version?

Have only listen to the audio but I will be reading the printed version, due to the fact that I`m not 100% sold on the way the audio made me view the book/story.

Which character as performed by CJ Bloom and Jacob Morgan was your favorite?

Both did a great job with the Logan and Devi, as for my favourite I`ll leaning towards Devi.

What can I say, I didn`t not like this story I just found it hard to get past the fact that Devi`s parents are cool with her doing Porn.

My Two Pennies

Narration is on point, I was able to feel the emotions coming through with every word spoken. What an incredible collaboration between two authors. Logan O' Tool is undoubtedly a man everyone wants a piece of and adding the fact that he's a well known porn star doesn't hurt at all. Just when you think things couldn't get any better we meet Devi, another porn star that's not as well known in the industry as Logan but that's beside the point. This story went past just the basics of sexual experiences and moved further into the relationship status and the struggles with trying to have a committed one in this kind of industry. Don't get me wrong the scenes scare are on fire and will have you panting for sure. Moments I'm gasping by actions and completely thrown off guard and I love that because I'm kept on my toes and you're not expecting what's to come next. Great story and I've enjoyed it very much.

MY HEART ACHES....

Here's what I'm comfortable saying without giving anything away.......

The description tells of a bride being left at the alter so she goes to her best friends ranch. Bride being left at alter isn't the premise of the story it's actually a non-issue.

The story is full of suspense, mystery, angst, tears, and OMG's and What the f**k. There's also romance and hot sex.

I was driving when the cliffhanger hit and I almost had to pull of the road. Once I regained my composure I called my daughter who also listens.

Sebastain York and Neva Navarre gave a fantastic performance. Sebastain as Talon broke my heart and I hung on every word.

Absolutely worth the credit or $$.

Can't think of one that compares. The sadness of the tragedy and the hope that could be makes for a powerful story.

What does Sebastian York and Neva Navarre bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

You truly felt the pain and ecstacy flowing from their lips.

Absolutely HATE when these authors leave a story hanging like this one was left. It creates an unfinished feeling and after all we read for enjoyment and to leave some of our own life behind for a while. The stories should leave you with a feeling of fulfillment not one of loss and longing.

Not just a cliffhanger...

More like it just stopped in the middle of the story. It's not a horrible book but I'm not even sure that I'm interested enough to get the next book.

Would A Little Buildup Have Hurt?

The two main characters go from being total strangers who start off alternately ignoring each other or bickering. That lasts about 30 seconds. Then they are amazingly drawn to each other and can't stay out of each other's arms or bed. There is no time spent on getting to know the characters, understanding what their attraction is or why it is so all consuming. The fact that they hooked up so quickly made no sense. Nor did it make sense that they were evidently keeping the torrid affair from his sister/her best friend. She was either an idiot or in a coma. I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened to Talon when he was a boy. (Note: Isn't the hero's name "Talon Steel" completely over the top? And the author evidently blew through her entire imagination on that single name.
