This book is so amazing I'm going to read it twice

This book is full of useful information. I have read other books on the topic that were informative but very general. This book really gets into every little detail with a lot of practical advice. It's like they hold your hand through the experience of opening a dispensary. They have a bunch of attachments in the back that make things even easier to understand. I am going to read it twice and take notes the second time..it's a great reference book.

Awful

I bought this book thinking that it is Volume 1 and I will go on and eventually will learn more and more. Don't be fooled. There is no information there. It is amazing how many people write books on subjects they don't really understand and on top of that cannot explain that little they do.

Won't really help you understand bitcoin

Lots of words which don't say much including some very oddly constructed sentences like: "Bare in mind these people will have a Dejavu, once Bitcoin will be wild spread; however, it is still too early." and "Yes, it is an operating system that apparently no one can handle, yet let me discover how Linux has changed our life." and "As a final sentence to this topic, streaming money should not be surprising to anyone, as there is nothing new to it, however commercial television and fake newspapers wouldn't want to tell this to people, and we all know why."

If this had been a straightforward guide to bitcoin it might have been useful but it veers into topics not related to bitcoin at all just to fill out the pages, it includes lists of retailers which now accept bitcoin to fill pages, and it has lots of random images which also feel more like they are just there to pad out the content.

I found Bitcoin very complicated and wanted to know more about this topic. That's why I bought this book. In this guide the author gives you everything you need to know in order to understand the system and get started, the advantages & disadvantages of digital money, the history & the future of Bitcoin, etc etc.The information was very useful and it really help me. I know now something about bitcoin. It was easy to understand.

I recommend it.

This is not a technical book on Blockchain or Bitcoin, but it is an excellent summary of the current technology supporting cryptocurrencies and an inspiring collection of ideas for how Blockchain. This book really explained the development for Bitcoin.

Sober compelling analysis of the 2008 financial meltdown and the hope for the future

There are no portrayals of ego driven maniacal financiers blindly chasing the carrot as the cliffs rapidly consume their landscape. But we've read and witnessed enough of that, and the sad fact that the very same people will most likely still drive off into the sunset with tanned bodies and full bank accounts. This book takes a higher ground and attempts to provide some guidance toward an economic future that is not riddled by seismic implosions and panic like attempts at stabilization. It is a cogent analysis and notable for effortlessly toeing the line between academic tedium and popular hyperbole. For that it gets 4 stars.

Unfortunately it is with the proscriptions for the future where the author stumbles a bit. Besides stating the obvious, such as more needs to be done to correct the dismal state of education, he throws his lot in with a naive vision of some multinational entity to replace the IMF and World Bank that will transcend national politics and somehow convince everyone that a bright kumbaya future can be had by doing what's right for the globe. For this misplaced optimism 1 star is detracted.

Good introduction

Although I have my opinions on what moves economic health of countries, I do not have any formal training in the field. This book is one of my first in an attempt to better understand why markets make such bad mistakes as we have recently experienced. (Or affirm what I thought before reading this and other books on the subject...)
