Very Little Information

First of all I should say that I have been very interested in the subject of chakras and healing. I started reading all about it a few days ago. That's just to explain to readers where I am coming from. I confess I am not so upset because I got this book for free, but I would if I had to pay for it. Most of the information is very superficial and summarized. I honestly know lots of websites with a lot more free information than this book offers. The part of the diseases and their relation to the chakras should have been more well explained as well as the exercises and gemstones which could be use for balance. I only recommend his book as a REAL STARTER. But from here please go somewhere else and find more information about the chakras.

I'm going to start saying that I bought this book in a promotion from amazon. This book helped me to understand a little about the significance of each chakra and its connection with life. This is a great book for beginners in which this topic concerned since it covers the topic in detail and explores the idea of balance and enhance your chakras. Also, explains the way of energizing your chakras. The book describes steps and gives us many useful tools. I tried the audible book on a trial and it was the worst narration. The girl reading seemed to be a teenage girl with a horribly soft high pitch. I couldn't get past the introduction.

Helped me understand myself!

My mother was an empath and told me I was, as well. She has been gone over 20 yrs. and I have been busy - married, raised our children, career now a grandma - I finally now have time to learn about me...I clearly should have read this book YEARS ago - then I wouldn't have struggled so much knowing how to accept my ability and keep away from those who dragged me down emotionally, mentally. I am a woman, in my late 50's and probably been an empathy my whole life! I am an avid reader/audio listener/student of life, and now have much more clarity, on where to go from here! The Place We Long To Be

None of us will live forever, but when the end comes, then what? This little book wants to answer that question and more.

This is a very small volume that can be read in one sitting. It is Biblically based, and gives lots of answers for life after death. Dr. Evans addresses such questions as whether or not we will recognize each other in heaven, what we will do there, and what it will be like.

He makes it clear that Heaven is an actual place. Most importantly, he also tells us what we need to do to get to Heaven: trust Jesus, and ask him into our lives. There are many pages towards the back of the book devoted to making sure the reader knows how to be sure of going to Heaven. A portion of the book is also devoted to Hell, and, just like Heaven, it is a very real place.

The author, Dr. Tony Evans is a well-known Christian, and is the pastor and founder of a 10,000 member church in Dallas. He has a radio ministry heard in over 130 countries, and is the chaplain for the Dallas Mavericks.

Because Eternity is a small book, it is easy to read and re-read, as well as, thumb through looking for a specific topic. The author backs up his work with Biblical references. I did not draw the same conclusion as the author about the tree of life. However, as Dr. Evans states, there is only a "possible answer" for that question. This volume is easy to read, and encouraging. I recommend this 5-star book for anyone who wonders about life after death, has questions about Heaven, or is grieving the loss of someone.

This is an awesome book.

Be ready to be challenged in your relationship with Jesus!

Excellent little book. Some of the concepts that challenged me was the excerpt written by a communist supporter and his commitment to his cause and how the author compared that to our commitment to our Gospel cause. It really made me examine my passion for Christ. The second was the contrast between being a slave for Jesus vs. being a servant. Take your time and absorb it in.

What does biblical doctrine have to say about church health is the question which this book answers.

People are often turned off the word doctrine for they think that is doesn't apply to real life or it is an abstract subject only for ministers. This is not true and Jamieson's book makes that case very well. I liked his analogy of doctrine being like a map which gives us the big picture of what the Bible teaches about something that is both sound and applicable to our lives as Christians and in turn beneficial to the health of a church.

His focus is knowing and applying biblical doctrine for teaching & reading the Bible, for holiness, for love, for church unity, for congregational worship and for the church's witness. The only thing that I had wished for was a longer book which would have included this important areas but would have put that within an applicable overarching ecclesiology about how doctrine is for seeing ourselves as the body of Christ, for what it means that Jesus is the head of the church, for understanding the role of the Holy Spirit in the church's life and ministry, etc.

It is a very well and easy to understand book as well as rather short. It is among only 5 books that I know of that address church health from a theological and/or biblical point of view. Not enough people are writing about this or asking what does the Bible and sound doctrine have to do with being a healthy church. One would think this would be a no-brainer, but from looking at the vast market of books on church health, this subject is grossly overlooked.
