Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me. Lies. Words destroyed me.

"I'm sorry. She didn't make it."

"Daddy, he can't breathe!"

"There's nothing more we can do for your son."

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me. More lies. Those syllables and letters became my executioner. I told myself that, if I didn't acknowledge the pain and the fear, they would have no power over me. But, as the years passed, the hate and the anger left behind began to control me.

Two words - that was all it took to plunge my life into darkness.

"He's gone."

In the end, it was four soft, silky words that gave me hope of another sunrise.

"Hi. I'm Charlotte Mills."

Fighting Real Love!!

I will give this book 5 Stars. This was one of the best books Ive read in a long time. I loved the fight Carver had for Zoey. Zoey was such a hot-headed woman but that didnt stop that sexy FBI agent for going after what he believed belong to him. At first, I was a little skeptical about purchasing this book but I dont regret my decision at all. Cheris Hodges will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what was going to happen next. Also, Shari Peele brought this book to life which she never disappoints. My emotions were all over the place This story was full of action, drama, love and compassion, and most of all family oriented. I cant wait until the next book. This is my 2nd book from Cheris and I want her to know that she has a new fan. Enjoy everyone, I promise you will love it!!

why

I thought it was a good listen won't listen twice thought narrator was good also

Good beginning to sci-fi romance!

I had read the first two books in this series before and found this audiobook to be entertaining. I only hope that the author produces the rest of the story soon, as the first two books have been out for quite a while and stop on a cliffhanger. The narration was well done. Im going to listen to the second book now.

I really love this series!

This is the third book in the series that I've read and I'm really enjoying them. You could listen to it as a standalone but it has spoilers for earlier books.

I really like the idea of traveling to another time to find your soul mate, there's something really sweet about it.

I loved the characters in this book, along with getting to catch up with some characters from prior books, the two lead characters have some interesting challenges affecting their lives. Emily and Bradley are so sweet together, their romance was really lovely.

This is a series that I'd re-read.

The narration is excellent, I really enjoyed listening to it and the character voices were really well done.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

If you found this review helpful would you please take a moment to click yes below.

Timeless...

Timeless Pleasure is a wonderful standalone story, but we also get an update on characters from a prior story.

Emily is trying to find out what happened to her cousin... in her search, she ends up traveling back in time. Is it possible that she could also find her true love?

I absolutely adore Meghan Kelly's narration. She always does a fantastic job with the different character voices and bringing out the different emotions.

Love of Strong Woman Calms Inner Beast

Overall Rating 3.5 Stars. Timeless Pleasure is the 9th book in the Timeless Hearts Multi-Author Western Time Travel Romance Series, but I believe it is the 3rd story written by Sandra E. Sinclair that flow from her first story in the series, Timeless Whisper. In Timeless Whisper, Raven unexpectedly travels back to 1880 Texas and she inevitably falls in love with the ancestor of her lost love.

In Timeless Pleasure Ravens cousin Emily travels back to approximately the same place as her cousin, but a few years later. There she quickly encounters a lonely cowboy who seems to know all about Emily, even though he has never met her. The pair are instantly attracted to each other and have a unique pull toward each other. I really liked the soulmates idea behind this story and how Emily calmed the inner turmoil and beast inside Bradley.

Meghan Kellys narration of the story was simply sublime! She provides different voices for all characters and she has great intonation and pace.

Loved it!

Been waiting a while for this to be released in audio. It was well worth the wait. I loved it but the cliff hanger is frustrating purely because I'm concerned how long I'll have to wait for the next book to be released in audio. Really hoping it won't be as long.

Finally Dash and Willow

Well things are really starting to hit the fan. The twists and turns are coming in fast and a few times I had to rewind and re-listen to try and figure things out. While this is Dash and Willow's story it kind of continues with the whirlwind of all the drama started in Keenan and Sheldon's book with Kennedy's kidnapping and trying to figure out who's out to get these guys as they are now trying to get to anyone and everyone around them. Sometimes it was hard to keep up. There were a few times where I was rolling my eyes like, 'Are you freaking kidding me...seriously'? Especially right before the end with Dash crashing the wedding and her going through with it. I sighed with relief when she walked outside after that. All in all looking forward to the final book to see how everything will wrap up even though I will miss these guys.

Awesome

Great story, narration was spot on, and I'm still biting my nails with all the twists and turns. Just how much turmoil can people take?

5 "I WANT MORE OF THIS SERIES" STARS

This review is for all 5 books in this awesome series. B. B. Reid did a fantastic job sucking me into this series and not letting go until I finished all 5 books back to back. I hate for this series to come to an end. There was some hot sex scenes. The story just keep getting interesting as it goes on. If you like a dark read with crazy, possessive alpha males then this series is for you.

I have LoVED all of the series and this part was such a beautiful way to bring all the broken dark fairytale together Can't wait to read the last book Fearless

But is he ready to give up the galactic travel he loves so much to settle down with an earthling female?

Members Reviews:

Hilarious!

The Alien Mate series is absolutely hilarious! With the sassy heroines asking about being probed, to the strong and handsome Alien objecting to being called the Alien. Throw in some rescuing vs abducting jokes, hot sexy-fun times, and a snarky computer, this book was impossible to put down.

Reg

Reg has manners who would have thought, âI apologize for my sexual advances of a moment ago. I have long been without a female and did not mean to maul you.â I liked this book Reg was a good guy even if he was in denial, but thank goodness Penny was a focused little thing where he was concerned.

Members Reviews:

Great for the series fans

Charlie is a great writer and as always really has a way with combining action, romance and humor.

Im not a big fan of reunion romances I like that initial spark too much but I did love that after all this time our guys finally get their chance to be together.

Of course, there is other drama going on and more danger - as well as some more Dex/Sloane interactions and a furthering of the overall mystery/arc.

For fans of the series, this is a must, and while I bet you could read this as a standalone, I think youd miss a lot.

I'm glad the series is wrapping up, however, because we are starting to ease into the land of soap opera (i.e. people coming back from the "dead) and I think we've just about done all there needs to be done with this.

Audio

Mark Westfield is the voice for this series, so I cant really add much to this review that hasnt already been said.

I thought his English accent was fine and I enjoy his little extras that he throws in to keep the narration fresh and engaging.

I still sometimes struggle to appreciate his intonation, as he does seem to end each sentence in the same way, regardless of the emotion being portrayed but after awhile I dont notice it.

Overall, Id give this 4 of 5 stars.

still good

I was distracted by the change in Seb's voice. But the plot was awesome. and the ending worth it.

5 star narration

Time after time Charlie Cochet creates such amazing stories filled with non-stop action, intrigue and romance, while narrator Mark Westfield makes that world all the more richer; Darkest Hour Before Dawn, the ninth book in the THIRDS series is no exception. You definitely do not want to read this without having read all the other books in this awesome series.

Mark Westfield delivers us back into the world of the THIRDS agents, namely Sebastian Hobbs and Dr. Hudson Colburn.

While the story is filled with tons of action and suspense the author really gives readers a more intimate view of one of my favorite couples, Seb and Hudson.

These two men belong to each other. Hudson is marked and truly mated to Seb. A tragedy in their past breaks them apart and throughout the series we see them dance around each other. In this installment we get an inside view into the hows and whys of their relationship.

I really enjoy Seb and Hudson interacting. Seeing the push and pull between the two and how these guys truly pine for each other. I love seeing how close Hudson still is with the Hobbs family, especially his relationship with Sebs Mom and Dad. With Westfields narration I could feel how important and emotional being connected to them is for Hudson.

However, when he arrives he discovers the future is not what it's cracked up to be. People and things have changed, and not in a good way. Now he is stuck here with no way to return back to the time he now misses.

Torin Hamilton's day wasn't going well - and gets worse when she receives a mysterious 19th century jewelry box. Its contents leave her completely baffled and concerned for her friend's welfare. What she saw couldn't be real.

Torin's concern for her friend deepens when she receives a strange phone call that has her rushing to Heartsbridge, Texas, looking for answers.

When she arrives, she meets up with Ryder, and together they go on a journey of loss, love and discovery, as secrets are revealed about a past he'd wanted to forget.

Members Reviews:

Timeless Storm

Now we get to hear Ryder's story in this standalone book in the Timeless Hearts series.

After living in the past for 14 years, Ryder is able to travel back to the future, but now that he's arrived, does he really want to be there?

I loved hearing Ryder and Torin's story, and seeing how they were able to help each other accept what has happened.

I would not hesitate to listen to anything Meghan Kelly narrates. She always does a fantastic job!

Timeless Storm

Although this is the continuation of book 1 in the timeless hearts series, it is a standalone.

Ryder has been trapped in the past for 14 years and is finally getting the chance to go home, or as close to home as he can in the future. But things have changed a lot and Ryder has a lot to learn so he can readjust. Luckily things were set in place in the past to ease his return. This is a really fun story and series. Narration is very nice!

Timeless love

Ryder is an incredibly sweet southern gentleman from a time long past. He has lost so much coming to this modern time, that it is no wonder he finds comfort in a stranger with ties to his past life. Torin and Ryder are a perfect match! I love the connection that they both have with tornados and that they were brought together by Raven. I listened to this book without listening/reading the previous books in the series and I was able to still enjoy it without feeling lost. Meghan Kelly is one of my favorite narrators and she definitely doesn't disappoint with this story.

Sometimes you can go back home

Ryder Lucore was sucked into a time vortex 14 years ago. His teen and early twenties were lived in the 1800's. It is time to go home though, but can Ryder return to a home that is the same, yet completely different?

Torin Hamilton is a sassy New Yorker finding herself in Heartsbridge, Texas as she tries to find out what happened to her friend. She is charged by that friend to take care of a man who looks and acts like he is from Texas, yet something is not quite right.

Will this unlikely couple find love in each other before they kill each other, or will the weather take care of them?

Sandra Sinclair writes a fun and interesting story filled with broken hearts, new hope, and land ripping tornadoes. Meghan does a great job telling Ryder and Torin's story!

Wonderful story

I loved this book. I've read the ebook and I absolutely love it on audible.
