incredible rediscovery

When I first listened to this as a junior high kid, I didn't really understand or appreciate it. But I just listened to it again and I really, really understand it now. It's a wonderful story about the need to escape from a drab adult world. Author Meatball Fulton (Thomas Lopez) gave himself a challenge, I imagine, tones down his references to mysticism and instead relies mostly on images from popular fantasy (winged ships, floating islands) and surrealism (the black Mona Lisa with her mustache, glowing mushrooms that tell the future, a grand piano pulled by horses.) It's a wonderful escape, quite witty, and a masterpiece of sound engineering. I really love it now!

Mojo Sam the Voodoo Man

I am glad that I can now get some of the titles by Meatball Fulton(ZBS) on Audible. Mojo Sam is a supporting character on the Jack Flander's series. This is one of the few titles with Mojo Sam as the lead character. Mojo has the kind of voice that makes you fall in love with this character. This title is more about a fun short story (more like a "Twilight Zone" episode) and not really about Voodoo. If you enjoy a little light hearted sci-fi fantasy, than these titles are for you.

I liked it. my only issue is the ending. it's far to snug and clean. seems like the writer ran out of steam toward the end. I live the character Kapoor. very well done.
