    Forbid No More
I love this book. This was a favorite of mine in high school. I feel like there are many adult themed complexities that revel in multiple mythologies. The narrator seems to make all the characters a bit whiney, but I'll take it. Still surprised this isn't a terrible teen movie yet.
    The suspense continues
Jenny thought all her troubles were over when her enemy was trapped by magic, but now he's out and after the one thing he desires above any other, Jenny herself. Determined to force her to come to him, Julian steals Jenny's friends away one by one, forcing her into a desperate race to find them. This is the thrilling sequel to The Hunter. Packed full of suspense and a healthy dose of fear, this book makes for compulsive listening.
    Love it!
One of my favourite book series'
Loved it since I was a teenager and the second book is probably my favourite.
Khristine preforms it brilliantly. Highly recommended the whole series on this format.

    Publisher's Summary:
Sixteen-year-old Jace Witherspoon arrives at the doorstep of his estranged brother Christian with a re-landscaped face (courtesy of his father's fist), $3.84, and a secret.
He tries to move on, going for new friends, a new school, and a new job, but all his changes can't make him forget what he left behind his mother, who is still trapped with his dad, and his ex-girlfriend, who is keeping his secret.
    At least so far.
Worst of all, Jace realizes that if he really wants to move forward, he may first have to do what scares him most: He may have to go back.
First-time novelist Swati Avasthi has created a riveting and remarkably nuanced portrait of what happens after. After you've said enough, after you've run, after you've made the split how do you begin to live again? Readers won't be able to put this intense page-turner down.

5 stars are not even remotely enough!!
5 stars are not even remotely enough to this masterpiece. It deserved at least a thousand stars. It's real, it's well written, it's nasty, it's challenging, it's moving, it's beautiful, it's ugly. Just like real life.
There's no attempt to sugarcoat the horrific reality of abuse, and, more important, it shows what happens to the abused. I know it because I've been there. It's just like that; you're never far enough. You have to decide, to learn, each day, how to not repeat the pattern, how not to become the abuser, how not try to justify your actions based on the abuse you suffered. And, most important of all, you will fail. Sometimes, at least, you will see yourself through other people's eyes, and you'll see you're scaring them. You'll just want to die a little realizing you're behaving just like your abuser. You'll be a bastard sometimes, or, if you're lucky and strong enough, maybe just once. But the doubt is a shadow always walking by your side.
At some level, it's actually good, because it will make you so self aware, so wanting to be good, that you'll try harder. And eventually you'll learn, and find your own way to control the beast, to be calm, to be 'normal'. And, perhaps, to see that you are not him/her. You can be different, you can live a different life.
At each minute of this incredible book, I was seeing myself, my past, the person I've become. It was like therapy, good, exhilarating therapy. And the audiobook is amazingly narrated. I absolutely LOVED this story. It's in my top 5 of all times, and certainly will be listened too again, at least parts of it, from time to time. I guess I'll need it.
Thank you so much, Ms. Avasthi. I'll be looking forward to read your next book.
    Excellent
Loved this book. Well written and you fall in love with the characters and feel their pain. I will read it again for sure.

This is a spellbinding display of storytelling that will exhilarate, enthrall, and thoroughly enchant.
    Critic Reviews:
"[MacCullough] has created an enormously sympathetic character in Tamsin, whose itchy relationship with her family will resonate with teens struggling to define themselves. Characters, setting, conflictall develop nicely to create a light urban fantasy that goes down easy and will have readers asking for its sequel." (Kirkus Reviews)
"With the glut of contemporary romantic supernatural tales, this will be popular, but the action, drama, and great potential for compelling sequels set it apart from the crowd." (Booklist)
"MacCullough's writing is evocative without distracting from her story; readers will identify with Tam's desire to create a space away from parental expectations and take comfort that even extraordinary families make mistakes." (Publishers Weekly)

    well written
I really liked this book! The plot kept you listening and the characters really pull you in. I felt the end was really rushed and there wasn't enough describing the circumstances and actions that had taken place. I'm not sure if it was over editing or if it's left that way to be pick up in a hopeful sequel. Either way I enjoyed it enough to anticipate another!
    Missing content
I read along with my audio whenever I can. I was shocked that both the prologue and epilogue are both missing from the audio versions. The thing is, they are very important to understanding the story. Very strange decision. The narrator got the Job done and the story was OK. I'm still deciding whether or not I will check out the next installment. I like a little closure with the books I read and this book leaves many unanswered questions.
I will listen to future books in this series.
The story line is fun to follow and grows as you read on. The reader is easy to listen to.
    Great Story
The author has a greal deat of talent. Making this a good read for both teens and adults, smoothly, without leaning more one way or the other. I could relate to the heroine (even as a 29 year old) and I was routing for Gabriel (the romantic interest.) She intertwined witchcraft and time travel easily, much more easily then you would think. It does touch on underage drinking and smoking. But neither condemns or approves of it, it just...is apart of the character. The story had this organic and natural feel to it. I certainly hope they continue the storyline.
    Worst Book
Chose this book by it's cover that was my first mistake! The writing is terrible, the narrator swallows and you can hear it throughout the book, and it is very predictable.

    Waiting For More!
I purchased this and several other audiobooks the other day. I like to listen to the first few minutes of each, to see which book I want to start with... This book made me forget I was sampling. Hooked me right away! Has a great Narrator, very smooth! The Narrator sounds like she is telling the story, not reading it. I enjoyed this Audiobook and would recommend it to others! Great writing!
This isn't just an audiobook, it's a play...
At first I was wary of buying this audiobook because of the narration in the sample, but then I saw the reviews and decided to give it a go and instantly knew why people praised it, listening to this audiobook you get much more than you would have just reading the book, I don't think I would've liked the book if I read it in print...
You can feel how the narrator isn't just doing this to get her paycheck and go on with her day, she reads the story exactly as it should be read, she makes you feel all the emotions in every character's voice, something that you will not be able to get from the printed version, every character has a voice so different you keep forgetting it's one person reading this...
As for the story itself, well it is interesting, I wouldn't say it's the best story ever because it makes you wanna go inside the book and kick the main characters in the stomach for their stupidity but it's good enough to keep you entertained for those 9 hours...
The narrator really carried the story for me..
Meh..I liked NUMBERS but I didnt love it, just a solid like. An interesting read throughout, just not overly exciting. With a premise like, Ever since the day her mother died, Jem has known about the numbers. Numbers that pop into her head when she looks into someone's eyes. They're dates, the numbers. Dates predicting with brute accuracy each person's death. I was expecting a much more gripping read and a very different one as well.
Numbers is not the norm as far as paranormal novels goes. The only thing paranormal is Jems ability to see the death numbers, otherwise the story is about a 15 year old orphan kid in London, whos had a rough bit of it so far and due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time, is forced to go on the run. On this journey she grows and learns a lot about herself and most importantly learns to trust and love.
Numbers a good read that is well written and Sarah Coomes does a fantastic job narrating and bring the story to life...its just not what I was looking for when I plugged in. Im undecided if Ill check out the next book. Well see if I come across it in the bargain bin.
**There is some sex in it, but nothing too graphic.
    Loved it
loved it!! great story! kept me wanting to listen longer each time! I have recommended it to others

Set in 1917 and inspired by the author's true family history, this is the poignant story of a remarkable friendship and the perils of small-town justice.
    Critic Reviews:
"Levine's story treats racism frankly and with no mincing of words. The highlight of this coming-of-age journey comes from watching the two kids learn about the world and come to care about each other in the way of 13-year-olds." (

    Starts and ends well
I do not believe Jane was able, or even willing, to fulfill the plot points that she setup in the past books. I was disappointed as she seemed to be setting up an exciting story but then disregards all of her big points and allows it to become more insignificant story. Beginning was alright, end was decently exciting, but the bulk of the story was boring.
    love it
Even though I feel there is still so much untold the four storries have been my faviorite since child hood.
    GREAT BOOK
Loved it and wish there was a #5. I love dragons and this was a great book of dragons!
    The end was too soon.
I absolutely loved the narrator. Marc Thompson is a true story teller and wish I could hear his voice every day. The book series is also one of my personal favorites since childhood and hearing it come to life is one of the greatest joys I've experienced since.

    very enjoyable listen
The main character, Cat, undergoes some important changes in this book, and it was a pleasure to listen to her journey. I listened to this audiobook in the span of two days and I loved it. I loved the romantic element, although I wish I had seen more of it at the end. I love the inclusion of Einstein's quote about being a vegetarian, and the fact that the author researched the topics discussed in this book in depth, and that writing this story changed her life. I think that's a testament to how great the book is, that it could possibly impact the readers'/listeners' lives.
    Inspiring
Good book. Really liked the main character. Could have done with out the author interview at the end, which took another CD

    Members Reviews:
    Very cute and quick read
Claire has been my favorite out of the ensemble throughout the entire Clique series. This story was very cute and a light-hearted story about Claire and her Florida roots. It was intersting to watch her return to Florida and her transition back into her old world, seeing how far she has come. Great character development and internal conflicts to remain true to her roots despite her new image of herself.
Kuh-laire!!! The best of the summer collection
If you liked the rest of the Summer collection from the Clique, you'll love this one. Claire is back in Florida with her FBFF's, and things are not as she remembers. Her friends have turned into dorks! But wait - maybe it's Claire that's changed?
Throwing a wrench into the mix is Massie's visit. Massie couldn't care less whether Claire gets to stay best friends with her Florida peeps too, and she is in fine form as she shows the backwards Floridians how The Clique does things.
If you've ever had to re-examine friendships or your own values, you'll appreciate this book. It's light and fun, and just what I hoped for from the latest in the Summer collection.
    AMAZING
It was amazing, I enjoyed it so much, it was an awesome story that sowed the ups and downs of freindship
    I The Clique Series
I love this series!!! I have read every single Clique book by Lisi Harrison. It is the best series ever
    Great series for teen girls
My daughter is thirteen years old and loves this series. She can easily relate Claire's issue with her having to choose between best friends. It is a great series that Lisi Harrison woven. All the books are worth the money and effort to find. Great entertainment!

    Members Reviews:
    No truer words were spoken...
As a former football player, the character of Bobby Framingham was very personal and relatable. The self-realization and acceptance along with the fear of rejection and betrayal are so pointedly pronounced in this tale. Bobbys journey produces a sense of hope that many can relate to, whether gay or straight. This is not just a coming out storybut a tale that many can relate to when you find yourself Outside of the Pocket! Excellent Book!!
    One of My Favorites
I listen to a lot of Gay and Lesbian audibooks. As a pansexual and a woman with close friends who are LGBTQ, it's a genre that personally interests me.
A lot of the books available on Audible disappoint me. This one, however, was /wonderful/. It really was.
The main character was this incredible very real teenage boy. I felt for him and was inspired by him both. People react to his sexuality in ways that are realistic to society. The story presents a very real issue without overdoing it and creating pointless drama.
I also love that while there IS a very sweet romantic story line, it's hardly the focus of the novel. The focus is the main character and his experience with coming out and his experiences on the football team.
A truly wonderful story. Three cheers for Bill Konigsberg. :)
    Touching book.
An excellent read. Was very though provoking and touching.
This is the 2008 edition (not updated)
Apparently the book was re released recently with updates. I didn't realize until almost end of the recording that the audio book wasn't the updated version. I haven't read the new one, so I can't speak to how different the two are.
Awesome story, except for the love interest.
Would you consider the audio edition of Out of the Pocket to be better than the print version?
    Yes.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Out of the Pocket?
When that little weasel who outed Bobby finally got busted, I was happy.
What about Joshua Swansons performance did you like?
I loved Bobby's voice. He was All-American and conveyed an innocence.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The story of Bobby's father and his mother's confusion over his sexuality. It would've been perfect, if not for the thrown together love interest.
    Any additional comments?
The only thing I didn't care for was the love interest.
