    Title: No Hero
Subtitle: The Evolution of a Navy SEAL
    Author: Kevin Maurer, Mark Owen
    Narrator: Paul Michael
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 6 hrs and 41 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 11-10-14
    Publisher: Penguin Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 884 votes
Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Personal Memoirs
    Publisher's Summary:
The second book by former Navy SEAL Mark Owen, following his multimillion-copy classic about the bin Laden mission No Easy Day, in which he tells the stories from his career that were most personal to him and that made him the operator and the person he is today.
While Mark Owen's instant New York Times best-seller No Easy Day focused on the high-profile targets and headline-grabbing chapters of the author's career, No Hero will be an account of the most personally meaningful missions from Owen's 13 years as a SEAL, including the moments in which he learned the most about himself and his teammates, in both success and failure.
Mark Owen describes his intentions for his second book best: "I want No Hero to offer something most books on war don't: the intimate side of it, the personal struggles and hardships and what I learned from them. The stories in No Hero will be a testament to my teammates and to all the other active and former SEALs who have dedicated their lives to freedom. In our community, we are constantly taught to mentor the younger generation and to pass the lessons and values we've learned on to others so that they can do the same to the guys coming up after them. This is what I plan to do for the reader of No Hero."
Every bit as action-packed as No Easy Day, and featuring stories from the training ground to the battlefield, No Hero offers listeners an unparalleled close-up view of the experiences and values that make Mark Owen and the men he served with capable of executing the missions we read about in the headlines.

Did not meet my expectations. Could be 3.5 stars
Would you try another book from Mark Owen and Kevin Maurer and/or Paul Michael?
I pre-ordered this book months ago and had been eagerly anticipating it's arrival ever since. Needless to say, my expectations were high. I was ultimately disappointed because, in my opinion, No Hero lacked depth and emotion. While listening and writing this review I tried not to compare Owen's two books to one another. In fact, No Hero is similar in content to The Mission, the Men, and Me: Lessons from a Former Delta Force Commander although not as good. This in no way diminishes my admiration for Mark Owen for the things he has accomplished and I will continue to look for coverage about his journey in the news and online.
Would you be willing to try another book from Mark Owen and Kevin Maurer ? Why or why not?
Owen's first book is my all time favorite and I for that I will continue to buy every book he ever writes.
What about Paul Michaels performance did you like?
He had a fine performance but the content wasn't there. His voice and consistency deserves another listen.
Do you think No Hero needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
YES, but there needs to be more!
    Any additional comments?
As I was listening to this book I found myself wondering much how the Government editorial process affected his writing. It seemed like a watered down version of what he was trying to say.
A good read, but not as good as the last.
Some great lessons learned, will be adding these ideas to my current lesson plans so all my students can share the experiences that the author has gained the hard way.
    very enjoyable
loveD it I very much enjoyed as did I the other book he wrote great
    Solid story
This book was an easy listen, I've already listen to it twice.

    Title: Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis

    Release date: 10-28-14

Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Personal Memoirs
    Publisher's Summary:
The untold story of how one womans life was changed forever in a matter of seconds by a horrific trauma.
Barbara Leamings extraordinary and deeply sensitive biography is the first book to document Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis brutal, lonely, and valiant 31-year struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following JFKs assassination. Here is the woman as she has never been seen before. In heartrending detail, we witness a struggle that unfolded at times before our own eyes, but which we failed to understand.
Leamings biography also makes clear the pattern of Jackies life as a whole. We see how a spirited young womans rejection of a predictable life led her to John F. Kennedy and the White House, how she sought to reconcile the conflicts of her marriage and the role she was to play, and how the trauma of her husbands murder, which left her soaked in his blood and brains, led her to seek a very different kind of life from the one shed previously sought.
A life story that has been scrutinized countless times, seen here for the first time as the serious and important story that it is. A story for our times at a moment when we as a nation need more than ever to understand the impact of trauma.

    Has New Information
This is Barbara Leamings third Kennedy biography. The first third of the book recycles considerable material from the first biography minus the dubious theories. Learnings major fault as a biographer is her tendency to mind read. In this biography learning has considerable documentation from a variety of sources. The author details after the assassination how Bobby Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson sought to comfort her and to use her politically.
The main or key thrust of Leamings book is her claim that Jackie had PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). She documents the clinical symptoms including flashbacks, insomnia, numbness, avoidance, fear, depression and anger. The author also points out that the condition was not medically recognized until 1980. The author claims Jackie fought her way back to good mental health through her work in publishing and her contributions to land mark preservation. The author documents that Jackies Sister Lee Radziwell told that Bobby Kennedys assassination triggered a recurrence of the PTSD in Jackie. When the British poet Stephen Spender asked in 1980, about her greatest achievement, she told him, I think it is that after going through a rather difficult time, I consider myself comparatively sane, I am proud of that.
One of the iconic women of the 20th century, Jackie Kennedy, is such an interesting story and how her life and that of the country was dramatically changed on the terrible day in Dallas. According to the author Jackie spent the rest of her life attempting to heal from that horrific day in Dallas. Eliza Foss did a good job narrating the book.
    Interesting but at times repetitive
    Any additional comments?
Interesting story, in-depth research, and compelling narrative, but often repetitive, especially as it relates to the PTSD aspect. This is my first lengthy encounter with Jackie Kennedy, and, although I admire her for her perseverance, I did not find her very inspiring or likable. She comes across as canning and opportunistic. I was hoping for a strength and nobility of character, but I did not find them in this biography. I was more inspired by Catherine the Great.

Title: Without You, There Is No Us
Subtitle: Undercover Among the Sons of North Korea's Elite

    Publisher: Random House Audio

Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Personal Memoirs
    Publisher's Summary:
A haunting memoir of teaching English to the sons of North Korea's ruling class during the last six months of Kim Jong-il's reign
Every day, three times a day, the students march in two straight lines, singing praises to Kim Jong-il and North Korea: Without you, there is no motherland. Without you, there is no us. It is a chilling scene, but gradually Suki Kim, too, learns the tune and, without noticing, begins to hum it. It is 2011, and all universities in North Korea have been shut down for an entire year, the students sent to construction fields - except for the 270 students at the all-male Pyongyang University of Science and Technology (PUST), a walled compound where portraits of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il look on impassively from the walls of every room, and where Suki has accepted a job teaching English. Over the next six months, she will eat three meals a day with her young charges and struggle to teach them to write, all under the watchful eye of the regime.
Life at PUST is lonely and claustrophobic, especially for Suki, whose letters are read by censors and who must hide her notes and photographs not only from her minders but from her colleagues - evangelical Christian missionaries who don't know or choose to ignore that Suki doesn't share their faith. As the weeks pass, she is mystified by how easily her students lie, unnerved by their obedience to the regime. At the same time, they offer Suki tantalizing glimpses of their private selves - their boyish enthusiasm, their eagerness to please, the flashes of curiosity that have not yet been extinguished. She in turn begins to hint at the existence of a world beyond their own - at such exotic activities as surfing the Internet or traveling freely and, more dangerously, at electoral democracy and other ideas forbidden in a country where defectors risk torture and execution. But when Kim Jong-il dies, and the boys she has come to love appear devastated, she wonders whether the gulf between her world and theirs can ever be bridged.
    Editorial Reviews:
"A touching portrayal of the student experience in North Korea, which provides readers with a rare glimpse of life in this enigmatic country...Well-written and thoroughly captivating." (
    Library Journal)
    Critic Reviews:
"[An] extraordinary and troubling portrait of life under severe repression[Kim's] account is both perplexing and deeply stirring." (
    Publishers Weekly)
"A rare and nuanced look at North Korean culture, and an uncommon addition to the 'inspirational-teacher' genre." (
    Booklist)

A revealing look into North Korea
If you could sum up Without You, There Is No Us in three words, what would they be?
I heard about the author when she was interviewed on NPR. The book sounded interesting and the circumstances allowing Suki Kim's access to teach English in North Korea intrigued me. The book is a fascinating, sometimes heartwarming but mostly sad and shocking look into the isolated and bizarre place. I would highly recommend it.
    Unforgetable glimpses
Would you consider the audio edition of Without You, There Is No Us to be better than the print version?
Probably. I enjoyed Janet Song's performance in this book.

It is an amazingly clear view into the realm of the spirit, as well as a true testament to the power of living a life in pursuit of deeper relationship with God.
Full to the brim with amazing stories and stunning experiences, The Veil is an incredible look into the world of the spirit.
    Members Reviews:
Truly original - you shouldn't miss this one
Would you listen to The Veil again? Why?
Yes, and that's unusual for me as I have a voracious appetite for new audio content.
Who was your favorite character and why?
If you've ever seen the original Ghostbusters movie and recall the see-through green creatures munching on things, then this is what I think was being described by the author in some coffee shop.
What does Blake K. Healy bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
The book itself was excellent, but the hours-long radio-show-like commentary after the book was even better. I think the commentary part is exclusive to the audiobook and it involves three or four friends, including the author.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was extremely pleased to have found a title which really stands out from the abundant, mushy, lookalike crowd out there in this category.
    Any additional comments?
I believe that this title will become a thought-leader for its category soon. It deserves it. The ebook is currently available to Kindle Unlimited customers for free, so if you're on the fence and belong to KU, then check it out that way, but the author's own reading is great. Again, the post-book commentary is something not to miss, so, if you can afford it, just go for the audiobook. To the author: GREAT JOB!
    Deep but also profound
I listened to this months ago and it still is lingering in my day to day thoughts. The conversation podcast after the book is over was so powerful and answered a lot of questions that Ive wondered all my life as I grew up in the church. God is real, the spirit is calling, will you answer? Im trying, you should too.
Open your mind and talk with God
The book is easy to read, the comments was a bit boring sometimes. But a lot of the chapters have important subjects, so you will learn and understand more than you did before you open this book.
I gave 3stars because I had to high expectations before I started to listen to this Audio.
The most important thing I learned from this story : Open your mind and Talk more with God.
He really do enjoy spending time with us, and is a remarkable teacher !
    Blessings from Eva
This book was eye opening and intriguing!
I will listen to it over and over again. This is a great book to remind you that just because you can't see it, it doesn't mean it's not happening.
    very long but engaging.
wow. That's a lot of chapters. it became a personal goal just to get through the book. However, there are some amazing stories. some great thoughts. And a lot of inspiration. I was definitely challenged in my belief system. worth the read (or listen) for anyone who has learning to hear the voice of God.

She's my cherry pie. Tastes so good, make a grown man cry.
Who could forget the sexy "Cherry Pie" girl from hair metal band Warrant's infamous music video? Bobbie Brown became a bona fide vixen for her playful role as the object of lead singer Jani Lane's desires. With her windblown peroxide mane, seductive scarlet lips, and flirtatious curves, she epitomized every man's fantasy. But the wide-eyed Louisiana beauty queen's own dreams of making it big in Los Angeles were about to be derailed by her rock-and-roll lifestyle.
Ever wonder what it's like to f*** a rock star? After her tumultuous marriage to Jani imploded, and her engagement to fast-living Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee ended in a drug haze - followed by his marriage days later to Pamela Anderson - Bobbie decided it was time Hollywood's hottest bachelors got a taste of their own medicine. Step one: get high. Step two: get even. In a captivating, completely uncensored confessional, Bobbie explicitly recounts her encounters with some of the most famous men in Hollywood: Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Mark McGrath, Dave Navarro, Sebastian Bach, Ashley Hamilton, Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Orgy's Jay Gordon, and many more. Who's got the most titanic dick in Tinseltown? Whose bedroom did Bobbie (literally) set on fire? No man was off limits as the fun-loving bombshell spiraled into excess, anger, and addiction. Bobbie survived the party - barely - and her riveting, cautionary comeback tale is filled with the wildest stories of sex, drugs, and rock and roll ever told.

    A pleasant surprise
    Any additional comments?
I've read a lot of autobiographies and I have to admit this one surprised me. When I heard her mention revenge in the first chapter, I thought she was going to tactlessly air out other people's dirty laundry but she is equally hard on herself. The other autobiographies I've read are all peppered with wishy washy "love yourself" self-help reminders that don't seem to be coming from the heart and just seem like a way to fill up space and gloss over the tougher details of their life that they do not want to share with others. Of course it is one hundred percent understandable that they wouldn't want to share private details but as a result the books seem more like a money grabber. We can get a brief summary of anyone's life from a magazine interiew. Bobbie fearlessly bares herself and teaches everyone else the lessons she learned in the process.
    LOVED IT!
I'm embarrassed to say I had really low expectations for this book, but thought it would be a fun read anyway remembering my own days on the Sunset Strip. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. I usually can't stand it when the author is the narrator. This book is the absolute exception to this rule. Bobbie Brown did a phenomenal job narrating this. You felt like you were right there with her. I think she's missed her calling. I would listen to her as a narrator on other books as well. She was THAT good.
As for the story... where to begin? I have no clue how she managed to pack so much into less than 6 hours. She found a way to make the stories fun and at times gut wrenching, too. You really felt like a friend of hers living it with her. Also, I can't say she threw anyone under the bus really.

Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Personal Memoirs
    Publisher's Summary:
In New York City, in April of 1874, a most unusual event took place. A severely abused nine-year-old girl named Mary Ellen Wilson became the first child in America to be rescued from an abusive home. She had been beaten, burned, slashed with scissors, locked in a closet, and had never been outside of her tenement home in over 7 years. Thanks to the concern and dedication of a missionary named Etta Wheeler, the child was finally saved from her cruel captors. Henry Bergh's ASPCA - yes, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - was instrumental in securing her rescue. When no other agencies would become involved, the ASPCA used its power and influence to not only save Mary Ellen, but to charter the first organization of its kind to prevent cruelty to children, the NYSPCC - the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. This book remains the only book that tells the dramatic story of Mary Ellen's life and rescue.
    Members Reviews:
    Great story.
Although a very sad story, it was told really well & I found it hard to turn it off. Thoroughly recommended!
    Harrowing Story
The story was terrifying and awful but I loved learning the history. Well written. However I feel the narration was not right. The voices done by the narrator seemed almost cartoonish. Had it not been for my interest in the history I would have turned it off.
    Amazing Story
As someone who was rescued from an abusive home, this story was especially great. Those of us who have been saved from childhoods similar to that of Mary Ellen's owe our "second lives" (as I refer to mine) to Henry Bergh, Etta Wheeler, and those alike who dedicate their time and hearts to help those in need.
    historical fiction
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes it was easy to listen to and kept my attention
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, it was very easy to listen to. Some audio books can distract from the story.
    Fascinating, just fascinating!
What made the experience of listening to Out of the Darkness the most enjoyable?
I almost wasn't going to listen to it. It started off a little strange to me in the beginning but I thought I better hold out and see where this goes. I am glad I did hold out. This was amazing. To learn how the ASPCC evolved from the ASPCA was especially interesting.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Out of the Darkness?
I found myself riveted when the woman lied to the mother and from that moment on this little girls life just kept taking bizarre twists and turns!
    Which scene was your favorite?
Obviously, the ending was the best part. To learn how normal her life ended up being was just as fascinating to me as the entire book itself.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
a little girls love beyond the terrors of her reality.
    Any additional comments?
I read that some people didn't care for the narrator. I think she did a great job. Helped me keep each character straight and I felt it gave the book a little more life and reality. Just a great book.

    Title: Finding Me
Subtitle: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed

    Narrator: Maria Cabezas
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 7 hrs and 13 mins

    Publisher: Recorded Books
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 1082 votes
Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Personal Memoirs
    Publisher's Summary:
Michelle was a young single mother when she was kidnapped by a local school bus driver named Ariel Castro. For more than a decade afterward, she endured unimaginable torture at the hand of her abductor. In 2003 Amanda Berry joined her in captivity, followed by Gina DeJesus in 2004. Their escape on May 6, 2013, made headlines around the world.
Barely out of her own tumultuous childhood, Michelle was estranged from her family and fighting for custody of her young son when she disappeared. Local police believed she had run away, so they removed her from the missing persons lists fifteen months after she vanished. Castro tormented her with these facts, reminding her that no one was looking for her, that the outside world had forgotten her. But Michelle would not be broken.
    Members Reviews:
    A True House of Horrors!
Having read the horrifying experiences of Amanda Smart and Jayce Dupree, I really didn't think that anything would surprise me that much. I was so wrong. Finding Me is the story of Michelle Knight's abduction and captivity at the hands of a true madman. What makes this story stand out is the author's ability to count her blessings and find joy in a life that has been so incredibly cruel. The life that was interrupted was not the idyllic world of Amanda Smart, or even the less than perfect (but stable) world of Jayce Dupree. Michelle's childhood was one that was marred by neglect and brutal sexual abuse at the hands of her own family members. The only light in her dark life was her son, who had been taken from her after the child was attacked and injured by a family member. This young woman had suffered enough for a lifetime even before she was was taken by Ariel Castro.
It's hard to imagine how she could have survived the eleven years that followed.
Michelle was trying in earnest to get to a visitation with her son, when she took a ride from the father of her friend. The next eleven years was a horror movie more terrifying than anything Hollywood could produce.
In the Dupree story, where the girl was held captive from age eleven to 29 years old, the abductor had an occasional bout of conscience which only brought on an almost (but not quite) Stockholm Syndrome situation. Ariel Castro was only capable of brief interludes of humanity but, sadly, even those stopped coming after he kidnapped his next victim.
The most heart wrenching piece of this story is that the happy ending for Michelle wasn't like it was for the other girls in Castro's prison, nor was it anything like Dupree or Amanda Smart experienced. Michelle had no homecoming because she had no home. Her younger twin brothers were the only ones she saw or cared to see and after seeing them, she was left, at 31, to recover the pieces of a stolen life, alone. And her son, the one thing that kept her alive, was no longer hers.
Incredibly, this woman shows a remarkable resilience and strength that almost anyone would have to admire. Life dealt her one hell of a bad hand, but she doesn't complain-in fact, she possesses incredible selflessness and maturity as the reader will see in the end.
This story simply broke my heart. It was so difficult to listen to at times, yet, I learned something from this remarkable young woman by the end. Life isn't fair, and she never really expected it to be.

    Publisher's Summary:
From an "imaginatively twisted and fearless" writer (Los Angeles Times), a hilarious memoir of middle age.
In a voice that is wry, disarming, and totally candid, Sandra Tsing Loh tells the moving and laugh-out-loud tale of her roller coaster through "the change". This is not your grandmothers menopause story. Loh chronicles utterly relatable, everyday perils: raising preteen daughters, weathering hormonal changes, and going through the ups and downs of a career and a relationship. She writes also about an affair and the explosion of her marriage, the pressures of keeping her daughters off Facebook while managing the legal and marital hijinks of her 89-year-old dad, and a despairing withdrawal to a tiny cabin where she combined wine and Ambien, paralyzing her arm into a claw. In one outrageous chapter, a hormonal Loh finds herself trekking to her preteen daughters school to confront a 10-year-old bully half her size. In another she attempts to subsist on only zero-calorie noodles and the occasional fat-free yogurt in a hopeless effort to vanquish added midlife weight.
In The Madwoman in the Volvo Loh speaks hilariously and honestly about her life as a mother, a daughter, and an artist. She recounts her journey through a tumultuous time of life, trying to maintain appearances during an epic hormonal - and that means physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual - change. The upbeat conclusion: it does get better.

This is not Me - this is Hormones
What did you love best about The Madwoman in the Volvo?
being in the same tender age - I can confirm - all what author tells is true
Who was your favorite character and why?
    sister, very rational
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
listen it while driving - do not have 8 hours in a row - my commute is not that long, but would stay in the car in the garage to finish an episode :-)
    Any additional comments?
Need book for the women who can not stay in bed until noon when in bad mood, but instead have to go to every day work, meet with clients, smile, and show confidence in future of your company and cheer up your team.
    Amusing in Small Doses
I live in Southern California where Sandra Tsing Loh has been a fixture on public radio for years. She was on KCRW until an unfortunate unbleeped "f" world, so now Pasadena City College's KPCC carries "The Loh Down on Science" and "The Loh Life." Both commentaries are amusing, often very informative, and, thankfully, quick. Loh's over the top delivery is hard to take in long stretches.
"The Madwoman in the Volvo: My Year of Raging Hormones" (2014) is part self-help/medical guide (estrogen cream, aka the magic elixir, might help!); part confessional (how a trip to Burning Man tanked her marriage in a very public and embarrassing way); part wry look at raising pre-teens (an acronym dictionary would help); and often laugh-out-loud funny. Her father - I tried in vain to find out what his name actually is - plays a prominent part, appearing to die not once but several times.
Loh's father was in his 40's when she was born; and she was in her late 30's to early 40's when her own children were born. That makes for an interesting take on things - she's going through menopause while her own children are going through puberty.

    Worth the wait
    Any additional comments?
I have waited 8 years for this book to come to audible. Having read the book sometime years ago. Imagine my fear at seeing the word " abridged. " How I hate that word, but thankfully I bought it. In the introduction I learned that "abridged," in this case, meant the author made cuts AND performed it himself. Amazing does not describe the smoky sound of a 90 plus year old man, telling the story of his 46 year old self. At times the smoke in the voice almost falls away, at other times you hear pages turning over his soft wispy rumble. And then OM!! The old man jumps on you and you laugh and laugh. When Peter says "kill the buddha." there is so much happiness and fun that you have almost no idea what he is talking about, but perhaps you want to know? The story itself is a trip into nepal, mixed with the life of the author at 46. The story is worth 1 credit, the performance is worth 5, and the strange juxtaposition of old voice and young man is worth at least 4. So you get a 10 credit value for 1. It was worth waiting for 8 years, and it is the first time I have found an abridged book to be better then the original ( with the exception of Moby Dick )
Wonderful recording of a beloved book
This review is more about the production, abridgment and recording of this incredible book and journey. The book itself is without compare in the annals of Himalayan travel and inner exploration. The recording and abridgment, completed by the late Peter Matthiessen himself is mystifying and entrancing. I usually steer far clear of abridged works, and especially those that I have read in their complete form before, but when I heard that Mr. Matthiessen had done the abridgment himself I was enticed. I was not disappointed. Yes, his voice is deep and gravelly; yes it is the recounting by an older man of his younger self; but the mystery and wonder is still there, and the emotions are brought to life by the voice of the author. I am so grateful to have this production on audio and cannot recommend it more highly to lovers of great travel writing, the Himalaya, Buddhism, Nepal, field biology, and the grieving process for a loved one through adventurous pursuits. Mr. Matthiessen was one of the greatest naturalists and nature writers this planet has known, and this story is one of his best, even in its abridged form. Enjoy. Namaste!
Skipped a few steps up and down the mountain
I'm a little embarrassed to say I hadn't paid attention to much of Matthessen's work before he died. I had Shadow Country on my shelf and every intention of getting to it soon, but didn't realize he had this whole other nonfiction output. I read the Snow Leopard after I read his obit three weeks ago and discovered he was the only person (?) to win the National Book Award for BOTH fiction and nonfiction.

However, he has written it in a way that only he can - with a remarkable take-home message for his longtime followers and new readers alike - and the result is an exciting new twist on the old format. I Can See Clearly Now is an intimate look at an amazing teacher, but it also holds the key for seekers on a personal path of enlightenment. A format anyone can use
As I began to change my life years ago I couldnt see where it would lead. One place it led me was to this book recently and I picked it up. Here Dr. Wayne Dyer looks back on his life as it stands now and where hes going. Its amazing when we look back on our lives and see where the twists and turns have taken us. Like Dr. Dyer I wont look back and go What if as I listen now and my life is completely different now that I have. Take the lessons from this book and apply them in your life. Youll be amazed what happens in your life.
The best book I've ever read!
Such an incredible book, by an even more incredible man. It's literally the best book I've ever read, and I've listened to the audio about 10 times now, and I learn something new each time. If you love Wayne Dyer books, then this one is a MUST.
    Fascinating
I listened to this in full over a week whilst i was doing a mind numbing job at work that required no true concentration. I feel like just hearing how he grew and came to things in life has helped me to grow. I am enlightened and invigorated and have grown to love Wayne as if I truly know him such is the way he tells of his own life journey.
I found my personal experience a little surreal as having spent a Wednesday to Friday listening to Wayne narrate this telling of his life, i learnt the following Monday that he had passed away on the Saturday. It made listening to the end of his narration all the more poignant. I truly believe he is now an Ascended Master and will be continuing his work helping people from the other side. We are blessed.
Deepest of Spiritual Secrets revealed with such simplicity
My learning deepens listening to Dr. Dyer's thoughts. He truly is blessed. He narrates in simplicity, some of the most mystical secrets of absolute reality available for us to explore through faith and practice.
    Not seeing so clear
What disappointed you about I Can See Clearly Now?
This was the first book by WD that I've "read", and while I enjoyed the first section of the book, it got to be a bit much during the second part.
