once again Hannah howell has created a fabulous world which we all dream of with the perfect love.I own everyone of her books either in paperback or audiobooks she never disapoints.also im amazed at the narrator.she's also really good.Angela dawe has performed amazing in both Hannah & Julie Garwood books.definitely worth the buy

Good book

It's a good book but the characters are not as well developed as most in her other books. Most of her books I want to hear or read more than once, but I'm not sure I will this one.

This has been a wonderful series. I do intend on listening to it in its entirety again. Angela Dawe did a great job, at times I almost thought there was more than one person narrating.

Great book and awesome narration..

Another great romance from Collette Cameron. I just loved all the Bs: Blythe, Brooke, Brette, Blaire and Blaike. And I loved the other players: Tristan, Raven, Whitehouse, Maddox, Francine and Hawk. I despised Burlington, Rosemary Sanford and Phillips, who got exactly what he deserved, but it would have been better if hed died.

What little was told about why Tristan could be so cold and unfeeling was pretty awful, it just showed what a truly horrible his father was. BUT as he drew closer to Blythe the more his walls came down. This really was a very good love story but also a story showing just how depraved men could be way back then and how the ton were never held accountable for their wicked deeds.

There was no sex but there was love and affection and passion. You dont need sex when you have all that. At least, I dont.

As to the narration: Again, Stevie Zimmerman was fantastic. Her male voices are wonderful and her emotions are fabulous. I love listening to her.

Too much internal dialogue

What did you like best about Blythe: Schemes Gone Amiss? What did you like least?

The story line was good. The heroine does not immediately fall for the hero. She likes him and their relationship grows.

The issue is that they discuss so much internally. At one point the hero's internal dialogue indicates that it wants to slap the hero and I agree. If the h/h talked to each other, then they would have been together faster. The hero has some emotional issues and it would have been better to have them get together earlier and try to solve his issues through the evolution of their relationship, but the author did not go this way.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

There is always a HEA in a regency romance, so I am not sure why this is a good question to ask. If the h/h get together in the end it is usually okay.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

There is always a hollow sound to SZ narration. I think this is the recording and not anything she does.

One of my favorite Kathyn Le Veques Books

I love this book because it not only had an amazing h and H .. the book included many of the great families from previous books.

Love story

I enjoyed the love story in this novel. I think LeVeque also showed the emotions of the landed after the battle at Eversham( wrong spelling I know). Divided loyalties, family tensions and the fears of a king who has found he can't trust anyone. The narrator on the other hand was awful. Too much dramatics when not called for by the characters. I took off a star because of the poor job he did.

I found the narration distracting at times

Another rich and entertaining story by Kathryn Le Veque. I loved the way this brought together many of the characters and families that had been featured in other books and prior generations. It helped to make an otherwise okay story about the main characters much more interesting, as it tied together how these leading families were intertwined through their bloodlines and how this could cause ethical issues for those who might be on oposite sides of some weighty political issues in the day and time depicted.

My one critique is that the narration was sometimes distracting when the narrator tried to give different voices to men versus women, or to help separate one character from sounding like another. For example, one female who I had just read about in a previous book was from Wales but for some reason in his quest to help make it easier for the listener to differentiate between various characters, I was distracted because sometimes she sounded more like she came from Sweden.

first steam punk but not my last

It made my 3 hour car ride fly by. I wanted to keep driving because I didn't want to stop listening.

Beauty and the Clockwork

Loved it. Exciting from start to finish!! Would read it again. I recommend this book.

Fast paced and good

This is not my usual genre but I really like the author so I gave it a chance. I was very surprised it kept my interest and was well written.

Wow! This book has everything...and done well!

This audiobook drew me in immediately. Everything about it was interesting, intriguing, adventurous, appealing and unique. I absolutely loved Miles and Lucy. Truly the perfect romance as well as myriads of adventure, mystery and paranormal activity. AND the narration was wonderful, allowing true discerning of who was speaking at any given time. 5 stars for sure -- and hoping for a possible sequel for Daniel and some of the other characters.

I'm not into werewolves and vampires but I thoroughly enjoyed this love story. Good job!

Most love stories, romance novels are predictable. I suppose you can almost predict what happens in this story but I enjoyed the fact that it did have a twist of difference to it.

It doesn't rank very high.

Although a unique story line, overall it is similar to many books about Knights and ladies in distress.

Shadowmoor

I so enjoyed this story immensely!! It's such a joy to have family and friends from previous books show up in the current book. I loved the humor, good natured ribbing, and banter between the men! I really like David, he's smart, funny and quick witted. Having Brad Wills as the Narrator makes an extraordinary difference!! He did a fantastic job bringing it all to life. This story stands on its own, you don't have to have read any of the others books though I'd recommend them as well. I have been listening to the Audible version and Brad is the Best! I thoroughly enjoyed David's story!

Great Story!

Love the story and characters. Good story line. Funny in places, yet can be an emotional sequence in there.

An emotional follow up

This was the sequel to the winter laird an lets just say it was excellent. If you are looking for a book with steamy "scenes" this isn't the book for you. This book is about a great romance that stands the test of time travel. This listen is worth a credit. I wanted to cry at the end and I usually want to listen to "steamy" books. So this was a go for me

Can characters be a bit more human???

What did you like best about An Enchanted Spring? What did you like least?

Too rich, too perfect in physical attributes. Men are so suave and charming railroading the obviously damaged female into taking their "protection" while she is having no say in her own destiny.That works better for historical romance, but can't see modern women not having more of a voice. And, of course, there was the dual personality thing going on with Aiden. What woman would be able to trust once the charm took on a darker tone, especially Emma, as she just had a previous relationship turn very dark on her.

Would you be willing to try another book from Nancy Scanlon? Why or why not?

Yes, would like to hear more about Reilly, he seems to have a bit more common sense at least I hope he would still be portrayed that way.

The ending is so abrupt and the Emma is so happy to see the guy that made her life a living hell during the time travel sequence, I would have liked to see her happy to see him, but less pliable, as in, "What were you thinking?" If he had enough forethought and feeling to know how he felt before the time travel, it seems he could have done a better job handling his emotions without walking all over Erin. From a modern standpoint, she should have ripped him a new one, before having the HEA.

NO ROMANCE TO MUCH ANGST!!

Delightful, Fun and Clean!

I really enjoyed Jessamine's Folly. Just when I thought is was going to be a bit predictable the author threw in a twist! It was a delight to listen to a clean romance with a bit of mystery as well. Characters were well developed, some loveable and others that were just nasty. All performed well by the narrator. I was very glad there was an epilogue.

I enjoyed this book very much, both in the ebook and now audiobook formats. I felt for Jessamine, and found myself hoping she and Lord Kirkendale could get their happy ending. Do they? You'll have to listen to find out!

Sweet and providing just a hint of Gothic and attention to period details, the characters are well-drawn and I particularly liked the early 20th century period details. fans of late Victorian romance will find this a satisfying listen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The theme wasn't all that new, which is fine with me because a good story can be told in so many different ways, but the depth of feeling from all of the characters was very good - in the villans as well as the heros. Love the twists here and there. I hope audible brings more Suanne G Rogers books to its store!

Jessamine of course. Enduring, and romantic without being sappy.

She always brings characters amazingly to life and her accents are perfect. She's my go to narrator.
