    Publisher's Summary:
Cora Miller is fiercely independent and stubborn to a fault. Betrayed more than once by men she thought she could trust, she's learned to rely only on herself. As the oldest of four siblings, she feels responsible for leading her family safely on the Oregon Trail for a new start.
Nathaniel Wilder is no stranger to the hardships and dangers of the wilderness. Raised with his brothers by a trapper in the remote mountains, he left behind the mistakes he's made in the past. He's been called reckless and irresponsible, but won't hesitate to help someone in need.
A foolhardy mishap puts Nathaniel in the direct path of a stubborn, yet beautiful woman with fire in her eyes. Despite her refusal of help, he is determined to prove she can depend on him. When her pride puts her and her family in peril, Cora accepts that she can't do it on her own. If misgivings can turn to trust, or even love, both Cora and Nathaniel could come out stronger in the end.

    It's A Winner!
Cora's Pride was enjoyable to listen to. The characters were likable and the story intriguing.
Cora is a headstrong woman who acts before she thinks of possible consequences. Like when she trails behind the Wagon Train that will not let a woman without a husband join up with it, or when she follows the man who took her horse into the wilderness not knowing where she was going or if she can find her way back to her family. Nor did she consider a band of renegade Indians could be in the vicinity. Her pride makes her think she can do more than she is capable of.
She needs help, but will she accept it from the handsome mountain man who lost his horse and provisions to a band of renegade Indians?
Cora's Pride is a clean western romance, narrated by the very talented Cody Roberts.
Fantastic story both written and audible. I loved every moment listening to this awesome story with Cody Robert's smooth voice.
This was so enjoyable to listen to. I loved the Kindle story that Peggy L Henderson wrote. I have loved all her stories and her characters are written to perfection. She does tons of research for each and every story she writes and you can just imagine the places she describes in each and every book.
Cora is one determined woman and it seems like nothing will break her pride.
Nathaniel who I so love is the kind hearted man every woman wants to marry. He is sincere, helpful and just refuses to let a group of young woman and young boy to travel alone through the wilderness even when stubborn and prideful Cora threatens to shoot him if he shows his face around there wagon again.
Traveling alone without benefit of a wagon train because no wagon master will take a wagon full of unmarried women and young boy, they have enough adventures to last a life time not to mention enough problems to also last a lifetime. Did I mention dangers as well? Enough of those too.
Then in the audible version Cody Roberts has a smooth voice to listen to and can make the changes needed for each character so you know which one is speaking.
I enjoyed this audible very much and all of Peggy's stories in this form and with Cody's smooth voice he brings out the best in each and every one of Peggy's stories and he brings them to life. Fantastic in all areas and I highly recommend you get both the book and this audible.

    Great Series
Ceci Giltenan is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. The 2 books in this series are the only books she's penned I have listen to but I've thoroughly enjoyed both.
I think I like The Midwife even more than "The Pocket Watch". Ms Giltenan puts a unique twist to time travel. In "The Midwife" Dr. Elizabeth Quinn meets a mysterious older woman on an airplane who makes her an unbelievable offer; to be transported back in time. Of course Elizabeth does not believe it, but she is so tired from being on-call the night before delivering babies much like an assembly line, and having to finalize her presentation for a professional meeting in new York, she accepts an antique pocket watch for time travel more to get rid of the older woman than believing she can travel back in time, but tells the old woman she will try it. The snow storm that delayed landing at JFK Airport worsens after landing and when Elizabeth takes a Taxi to her hotel room they are involved in a several car pile-up on the way. She is knocked unconscious in the accident and wakes up in the 13th Century being dragged into a castle to face a dangerous Laird who orders her to pay attendance on the wife of a Laird of another Clan.
An interesting story perfectly narrated by Paul Woodson.
    Excellent...
I adore the pocket watch series! This one included a twist I couldn't have anticipated too. Medieval men and headstrong smart women... so good!
Narrator: Paul Woodson will never be known for the soft delicacy of a young woman's voice, it's not in his repertoire! But everything else is and that much is worth every moment.
Heat Factor: Pretty much non existent but it totally did not matter! Chemistry evident, sex absent.
    Creditworthy? Oh yes!!!!
    Excellent Story....Worth every cent!!
I haven't had a story to bring me to tears for months. Go glad I found this jewel, the reviews are spot on. Love, friendship, honor, hope this book has all this and more.
    The Midwife
What a very delightful blend of the past and the present! Cecil Giltenan never disappoints and has captivated my attention with this wonderful book! In-depth characters, a creative paranormal romance with a twist, and all set in the beauty and majesty of Scotland. Paul Woodson is a very talented and skilled narrator as well. I have bought and listened to many of his audio book recordings and enjoyed his professionalism and talent every time. This is one I'd recommend to anyone. The romantic scenes were written and performed very tastefully. Now, on to the next book in the series.
    Perfect escape!
    Loved the characters & storyline.

But how long could such loveliness as hers be hidden? How long could such a gallant man's desires be blind? When Edwin Barlow, the Earl of Blakeborough, agrees to help his best friend's impetuous ward, Lady Clarissa Lindsey, in her time of need, he knows that he's in for trouble. He's been hunting for someone to wed, and she'll just get in the way. Although captivated by the witty, free-spirited beauty, he fears that she'd be all wrong as a wife...if she would even take such a gruff cynic for her husband. Yet he wants nothing more than to have her for his own.
Clarissa has no intention of marrying anyone - not Edwin, whom she's sure would be an overbearing husband, and certainly not the powerful French diplomat stalking her. But when matters escalate with the diplomat, she chooses Edwin's gallant offer of a marriage between friends in hopes that it will deter her stalker. She expects nothing more than an amiable union, but their increasingly tempestuous kisses prove more than she bargained for. When her stalker's vow to expose the lovers' deepest secrets threatens to destroy their blossoming attraction, will their tenuous bond withstand public ruin, or will Edwin lose all that's important to him to protect his bride?

Can I have my money back?
I hate to leave bad reviews because authors put their hearts and souls into their work but here goes... The narrator was good, however the story had me rolling me eyes and wanting to bash the characters over the head to put us all out of our misery. The story was drawn out because they wouldn't talk like 2 normal adults and it was very boring until literally the least 10 minutes. I made the mistake of choosing this book as my road trip listen. LONGEST TORTUROUS DRIVE EVER! I wanted to return it less than an hour into the story but I decided to give it a chance. I should have went with my gut! Wishing I could get my money back.
    Really Good Story. Fantastic Narration!
This book started out a little bit slow but after about 50% really picked up and turned out great. Although the first half you did get to know the characters pretty good.
I loved these characters. Clarissa was strong, funny, witty, and just fantastic considering what she went through. Loved her.
Edwin was awesome! Handsome with a dry sense of humor, and spoke plainly. If he thought it he said it. Which made for some LOL moments. They had some great chemistry together and the attraction was real and genuine. I loved these two together! Great match.
The story line and plot was great! It has a little mystery, a villain, OMG moment, and some of the best sex scenes written. The Study of Seduction was the perfect name for this book. There was so much fantastic dialogue throughout the entire book! Loved it.
As for the narration, I really like Beverly Crick these days, well for the past year I think. She gets better and better! She does a great job on the mens voices, the accents are great, her reading voice is very nice and she reads with lots of emotion, laughing, crying, giggling, sighing etc. Everyone gets their own distinct voice. Just fantastic, she has made my favorite narrator list.
    Totally recommend this book!
    Well done
This was quite good. I liked both main characters and the story moved along nicely
Secrets are a big part of this genre and they play a big part in this story. I thought this was well done and I enjoyed it.
    The narration was good, too.

    Another Twist on Wicked Nobleman
What made the experience of listening to She Tempts the Duke the most enjoyable?
I found this book to have a different twist to most books of this type and by Heath. The listen was exciting and suspenseful.
What other book might you compare She Tempts the Duke to and why?
I would compare this book to Heath's In Bed with the Devil but only loosely.
What about Faye Adeles performance did you like?
Adele does a good job narrating this book. Her voice was full of emotion and inflection.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The book does purge the emotions, so if you are a crier keep the tissues close.
    Any additional comments?
The series is worth the investment as the purchaser will want to listen to them over and over.
    VT. FAN
I love Lorraine Heath and this is the first of a great trilogy with action ,romance and suspense.. Faye Adele is fabulous as the narrator of all 3 audio books..She is terrific with both male and female voices as well as children's voices.. Unlike some of the narrators chosen for Ms. Heath's audio books where the 19 or 20 year old female lead sounds like 40, and the 20 early 30 male leads sounds 80 you will not be disappointed with Faye Adele narration. It is perfect..

All Peregrine wants to do is escape back to his research and the lesser evils of poisonous snakes and tomb robbers, but his family has guilted him into an impossible mission in the Scottish wilds; and Olivia - who is keenly aware that a respectable future of marriage and rules and propriety looms - decides that accompanying him will be the perfect chance for one last adventure. Besides, she really only wants to help, which is why Lisle and Olivia find themselves in a gloomy Scottish castle inhabited by grumpy servants, spiteful ghosts, and craven murderers...and possibly the greatest peril of all: the wayward commands of their very unruly hearts!

    Fun, Quirky, Sweet....lots of LOL
I must have LOL'd twenty times while listening to this book. The Harpies were so funny. Loved Olivia and Perregrin (Lisle) when they were children in the other books so I was super excited to see them as the main characters in this book.
Olivia is a wonderful character. The interaction and dialogue between her and Lisle is some of the best ever. I just wish they would have become a "couple" sooner in the book, but you can't have everything.
    Definitely credit worthy.
    My favorite contemporary regency author
What did you love best about Last Night's Scandal?
The characters of Olivia Wingate Carsington and Percival, Lord Lisle first appeared as children in the earlier Carsington brothers book Lord Perfect. It is Olivia in that book who dragoons Lisle into a wild-goose chase adventure across England. She is a 'dreadful deLucey', an aristocratic family known for their ability to con their way through life. She is a thoroughly delightful zany character who carries a lot of that book and the 13 year old Lord Lisle is an excellent comrade, providing the brakes and the sanity while supporting and protecting the rather reckless Olivia.
In Last Night's Scandal, the two protagonists are now young adults. Lisle has spent his teen to adult years in Egypt, his passion, and the hero and heroine have mostly communicated through letters. In the printed book, Olivia has a way of over dramatizing everything, so her letters are full of all kinds of inappropriate capitalization; this is actually very funny in the book, but hard to convey when read, although Kate Reading does a very good job using phrasing and emphasis, but you still miss out on just a bit of Olivia's character, I think.
The two protagonists are thrown together by Lord Lisle being brought back to England by his parents and basically being prevented from returning to Egypt. Lisle's parents, who are a bit of a nightmare have decided that they want Lisle to go to Scotland and restore an old castle that belongs to the family. This sets up the plot; Olivia knows how much Lisle wants to be in Egypt and she sets out to 'help' him and save him from his parents.

    Fun easy listen
Some ppl say not like Outlander ands its not. But, its not meant to be. It is a fun easy listen about time travel to the Scottish highlands. There is something to be said for not being overwhelmed by excessive details and descriptions. Morna's Legacy has great flow, relatable characters and good storytelling.
Love conquerors misplaced doubt, anger, and fear of succeeding
Baodan comes across Mitsy when she arrives 'from the future' with enough strangely spoken futuristic jargon and a too spirited attitude for a lady of that day and time that Baodan believes that Mitsy may not have all her mental faculties nailed in place. And then there is all the havoc that is taking place in and around Baodan's life, home and extended family that keeps the pace of all the extenuating circumstances revved up to full throttle in a way that makes it seem that there is no hope for a positive outcome for all the troubles. True Love is out there for everyone to find.
I have mixed feelings about this novel. It's the first in the series that I have listened to and due to my impressions I am not sure I would listen to another one, but I may consider another format. I do not think the narrator was the right fit for this book. I think he made the main female sound whiny and the main male sound like a 14 year old. So, I wouldn't likely enjoy listening to this narrator in more of the series. I always feel a female character does a better job creating a male voice and that way the Avelina who was the most voiced would sound like an actual female.
I enjoy highlander novel and may consider reading another one but in an ebook form so I can hear the characters' voices in my own imagination.
One area I feel Keira Montclair can improve upon is her romance scene.
    love the entire series!!
A Strong family of great characters.
I love how Montclair added all her characters from the past novels in the series, to this one. It was nice to know they will all live happily ever after.
    I rarely write reviews HOWEVER
This was the best well written series I have listened to. I have read / listen to well over 300 books in the past yr. This series had you wanting more after each chapter. She brings the characters to life. You feel the pain and desperation in solving there dilemma. You will laugh, cry and will feel the love they have for each other in family and marriage. I loved how each book involved the other characters from each book leading to next. Yet each was so well written that if you didnt get to read the others you knew what was going on and could stop if you wanted but I dont think you will want to. Anna P

I enjoyed this book very much. I have listened to other books by him but this one is by far my favorite. I loved listening to the songs he sang the best.
    Tisdale & Wills---A+
I guess you never go wrong with this duo. Love Brad Wills voice and his narrations.
And Suzan Tisdale weaves great stories of stubborn Heroes and Headstrong Heroines, good secondary characters and fun banter through out the story.
Glad the 3 parts were in one audiobook.
One of my favorites. Loved it.
Which character as performed by Brad Wills was your favorite?
Brad Wills performs this narration beautifully. His emotion and character voices were fantastic.
    Any additional comments?
I loved this story. I found myself rooting for the hero and heroine. Suzan Tisdale delights her readers with this beautiful story. I could not stop listening to it for even a minute. I was so excited and filled with anticipation wondering what would happen next. A must have.
Sweet story with laughs & tears
I liked the characters and the story. I've read more powerful stories but this was a good enjoyable read. I would recommend this book.
I say this at the end of every Suzan Tisdale book
Caelen is my favorite hero yet!
Ms. Tisdale's books just get better and better. And Brad Wills. I hope he knows how enjoyable his narration is. My heart feels good right now <3
