Very good read

I like most of Stormy Glenn's books and this one was very good. I prefer her newer ones, but this is a great start to a series. The characters are mostly likable and it is well-written. There was plenty of story to it and the relationship was believable (in a paranormal setting). The plot was creative and well-executed.

I really liked Nate's voice, but I thought Joe's was too husky. However, that is personal preference and at least I could tell them apart. There was nothing really distracting about the performance and I could easily get into it. I noticed a few mistakes like a couple of repeated sentences, but again, it was not terribly distracting. Overall, I thought Rex J. Silverton did a good job.

Okay start to series

What did you like best about Full Moon Mating? What did you like least?

The concept of loyalty between partners. The narration.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Changed narrators to pick up the pace and breathe some life into the narration.

How could the performance have been better?

The delivery was very monotone. At times, the narrators voice dropped low ( I believe they were shooting for sexy), during those instances the words were barely decipherable. It was almost as if he were lying down in bed reading. I think a different author OR possible more coaching for the current author would help.

Do you think Full Moon Mating needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I'ver read the entire series. I prefer audible versions to bring the stories to life.

I would enjoy the audible narrations for the rest of the series. This genre does not have the best track record as far as audio.I think it is tough to find quality narrators for reasonable rates, so that the pay off is worth it. I'm still a fan of Stormy's. She's a talented author.

Sheriff Joe Nash meets his mate when he least expects it. Joe is called out to shooting and shows up to find a (handsome) man leaning over the victim. He is not sure if this person had saved the victim or is involved with the shooting. The person in question doesn't talk to Joe and fights him when is brought in.

Not eve worth one star!

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I had to give at least a star to continue on with a review. I take the time to do this in the hope of saving someone else from subjecting themselves to this book. If you enjoy hearing of innocent girls' torture, humiliation and degradation then this book is for you. I get enough of this ugliness any day of the week on the news. This isn't literature. Don't believe it has a name. Hopefully for some out there who might read this review - you've been warned.

Theirs to take

Love it. Keep you guesting who good are bad. Make you wont to keep read to see what going to happen next. A very good pages turner. Yes I would recommend it. I will be checking other books by Natasha Knight

She brings a sense of realism to the story. As if you are hearing the story as told by aves.

Made me cringe when she is spanked and whipped.

This was a really great book. It touches on the human trafficking issue. Wonderful dark romance.

The narrator sounded like a little girl reading adult literature. Could have been so much better.

Steamy! Good story ruined by TSTL heroine

Narration was excellent. However, I found the actions of the girl in the story to be annoyingly stupid. She's a captive who's had the rules clearly explained and she continuously repeats easily avoided transgressions that get her beaten. Idiot! I'm not talking about escape attempts (those are understandable although first was stupid because no thought put into any plan) but other small things that were unnecessary.

Beware: there is some light BDSM-ish activity involving pain.

Sooooooo much goes on in this book.

Its an emotional roller-coaster. Tommy and Tyler do a lot of growing up.

Nevvie is a fantastic mother and wife. Things dont always go as they should but the three of them always seem to come out on top. No pun intended.

I did want to smack Tommy a little bit in this book. And I believe Tyler and Nevvie forgave to fast but I did like that they all communicated so well.

I also really liked that Nevvie can still surprise them. And Tommy kind of did as well. I like that Nevvie can know what its like to top in a way I dont think she ever would have before.

I am still not a big fan of the narrators voice when she Nevvie does her slave voice I think because it sounds kind of childish and not seductive but overall I am really enjoying her narration for all the character.

Good Read

Loved the book. Really like the narrator. Could not put the book down until I finished it. Loved the cast of characters. Loved both part 1 & 2 cannot wait 2 read parts 3 & 4.

Narrator ruined it

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator for Annabelle was so incredibly bad I couldn't finish it. A rape story is pretty rough. I liked Katie's previous book in the series and was invested in the Rev character, but Annabelle was way too pathetic.

What other book might you compare Redemption Road to and why?

Maybe something that is so bleak and depressing that you can't see anything come out of it.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narratorss performances?

I will avoid any books narrated by these 2.

Irritation. I might have been able to finish it if the female narrator wasn't such a poor reader. It sounded like she didn't even understand the content.

How the director didn't catch that the show is called "Alice" not the actress who playing Flo? Really poorly produced.

Not a biker romance--but an okay love story

I buy almost all of KA books and this was no exception. This was not my favorite KA book. This is book 2 in the vicious cycle saga, I liked book 1 so much better. It was biker believable. I found this book lacking in the MC department. The characters are all too likable. The characters are definitely not your "badass biker" of other series. Yes, the is kidnapping, allusion to gun running etc. What you really have is a community of bikers that live life and love. This was an okay love story and I recommend it for those readers who enjoy love stories without a lot of substance.

Lexi always spins a beautiful story, the narrators are fantastic at making it real. Love it all.

Not what I thought it would be.

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

If you like whinny girls who get themselves in trouble because they don't think. The heroine Liz, just can't keep her mouth or legs shut. All the problems are of her own making. And instead of getting herself out of trouble she whines because she can't have the man she lust after.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not sure. Kind of still mad over this story. No conclusion. Feel cheated.

I liked the performers, I mean they tried the best they could given the story.

Totally Derivative

The first book in this series Friends With Partial Benefits was a quirky, off-beat, humorous, unique story; it also had a real story within all the cute. This book was like the sequel to a film that unexpectedly was a big hit; a few of the scenes became famous to the point of becoming icons of pop culture. The formula of the sequel is to remake those scenes, repeat them almost exactly, and write the rest of the movie around repeating them. That was very disappointing because book 1 had been something that all four of us actually enjoyed, maybe book three will make a strong recovery; hey it did in the Rocky series.

Invigorating

Another funny book that continues the story. I love that characters and can't wait to hear more.

Another Hit

I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom. Jane and Lee had to go through some things to get to the good part but that is exactly what makes them strong. I love that Jane is not protrayed as a whiney strong woman. She stands on her own yet allows Lee to be the Alpha man that he is. Can't wait for the next books. The narrator made the book come alive.

Great ending to the story

I received this audio book free for an honest review. Cynthia did an outstanding job with this story. She writes about strong women and even stronger men. I enjoyed the intelligent/funny woman (Jane), and the rich/handsome man (Lee). Kind of like Tarzan and Jane. The narrator did a great job, especially since her last name is "Wolfe". She's narrating the right kind of books for that. The story was easy to see in my mind's eye. The people, places and things were described completely. The ladies in Cynthia's books are not gorgeous (at least they don't think they are, typical of most of us). The guys are big, strong, extremely handsome and they shift (talented too). Loved it!

This is a great addition to the Billionaire wolf paradise series! The author does a great job creating interesting characters and a great world with wolf shifters.

There is a lot of action, suspense, romance, and a bit of humor as well.

The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life! Some secrets are revealed. Not everything is as it seems.

First great narration love that it's the same narrator as the last two parts. I am loving this series it has me sucked in.

Lee and Jane go through a lot in this book. But there attraction to each other is wolftastic. I didn't have a good enough word so I made one up that's how much I am loving these two characters.

Tough couple to tackle but still an excellent book

First, I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book. It maintained the flavor of the first two books- continued to give some dark moments while still maintaining the feel-good community love and support happily ever after tone of the series. One of my absolute favorite moments is when Baz declares that, no they are not Sid and Nancy. They are in fact, Sophie and Howl. I also was quite amused by the observation towards the end of the book by Elijah that their relationship has kind of an identity crises as they have compared themselves to so very many different cinema couples by the end. (I had to seek out Black Butler as a result of this book.)

I appreciated the addition of Lewis/Lejla and the continuing expansion of awareness/education about the multitude of lgbtq issues that people, and particularly youth are up against. It felt like there was *a lot* of stuff tackled in this one book though - maybe too much.

I think that this was an intriguing but tough couple to tackle a story about. Baz and Elijah both have some pretty unlikable characteristics as portrayed in the earlier books in this series. I get that to make them the central characters of this story they needed to be transformed into characters for us to love, however, I think that both characters were force molded rather than exposed, understood and transformed. In spite of events at the end of book 2 which undoubtedly affected the way both characters would behave in *this* book I think that Baz's aloof/mystery persona and Elijah's acidic self-reliant self-preservation were both way underplayed even at the beginning.

I liked the idea of self-medication (Great we are going to Sid and Nancy each-other.) for different reasons for both characters was a really important and great thing for this book to explore, but I found the ultimate resolution to that, as well as the underlying issue's to be unrealistic and extremely white-washed.

No where near a Harlot

This was a great second book in the series. The narrator is awesome for HR. This was a page turner for me. Real hard to put down, well worth the credit!!

I almost didn't buy this book...because of

a few bad reviews and how the hero won at everything and that the poor woman was so set upon by the hoards against her! BUT that is NOT how this story plays out. It again is a very wonderful unusual story and it definitely could happen in the time period! The heroin has her champions also and is able to fight her own battles very handily and in a witty way! Characters from the first book are very present in this book which keeps the wonderful friendships going and their good humor! Don't listen to the nay-sayers who have issues and give this book a try!

Another good book by Joanna Shupe

A good story and well developed characters. I do admit that this book was not as exciting as book one. In addition, the style of writing was very similar to book one and there is again a "bad guy" who can be picked predictably by readers. Knowing all that I was drawn to the book time and time again. I STILL wanted to read the rest and know what happened next. Not great literary work but entertaining.

Good Story. Entertaining and Enjoyable.

This was another good story by Joanna Shupe. I liked Maggie the heroine, she was so snubbed by the ton at her debut but years later she overcame it and became a very strong, smart, beautiful character. Simon was great too, handsome, smart, strong and a rich Earl. The chemistry between them was good, the sex was good. There was less sex in this book than the last book by far. But it was still hot and steamy and well written.

I liked the story line and plot. It was good, easy to follow along with a bit of villainy thrown in.

There is lots and lots of dialogue through out the entire book. Love lots of dialogue and it was good too.

The characters were well developed and the characters from the previous book make an appearance. There was not a lot of angst or misunderstandings, just a little so that was a bonus for sure.

Extremely good anthology

Usually, anthologies like this from multiple authors are difficult to review, because there are some stories I like and some I don't. I was already familiar with Jet Mykles (Heaven Sent) and Laura Baumbach (Details of the Hunt), so I expected it to be great. I wasn't disappointed. I actually really liked all three stories.

Although I didn't fall in love with any of the characters, it was a nice, easy read. Each story was unique and well-told. I really liked that it wasn't the same cliche vampire story. I will definitely be looking forward to more from these three authors.

I thought Holden Madagame sounded a little young for the opening scene, but after a few minutes, I really liked his narration. I didn't hear any mistakes or weird voices and I could tell the characters apart, which is usually all I can ask for. Overall, I thought he was a good match for the book and I would be happy to listen to more books by him.

The story was well constructed and kept my interest. The sex scenes added just the right amount of spice without dominated the plot.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood Claim?

Each and every chapter held special moments, so much so that defining a specific one would be nigh impossible.

Which scene was your favorite?

I very much enjoyed the sex scenes as they were natural and flowing. Each scene was it's own and not the typical re-hashing of the previous.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Following along with Malcolm through this journey was wonderful.
