One moment of recklessness will change their worlds.
Smart. Responsible. That's 17-year-old Breanna's role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyberbully's line of fire - and brings fellow senior Thomas "Razor" Turner into her life.
Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don't belong. But when he learns she's being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them - a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness - he knows it's time to step outside the rules.
And so they make a pact: He'll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she'll help him seek answers to the mystery that's haunted him - one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they're both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they're going from here.

Great surprises and nothing dragged out
I loved this book. There were surprises that I wasn't expecting but loved. I feel like pretty much everything author carries things out too long and it drives me crazy. That didn't happen at all in this book. One of my favorite books ever.
Enjoyable listen if you can stomach female VO
What made the experience of listening to Walk the Edge the most enjoyable?
I'm enjoying this book series and they're fun and light, while still attention-grabbing. The only thing I had a rough time with here was Callie Dalton's narration of the main character, Briana. Dalton has both a nasally voice and a lisp, and both flaws are maddeningly distracting from the story. They took me right out of it, which is too bad, since the male narration by Andrew Eiden is outstanding.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Razor - layered, complex, and interesting.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
No more Callie Dalton narrations, please! Her lisp and her nasally voice are very distracting, plus she occasionally morphed in and out of a southern accent. Her performance itself is fine but her other issues left me very distracted throughout her narrations and took me out of the story.. Andrew Eiden - voicing the character of Razor - on the other hand, is outstanding. He's the reason I stuck with listening through the whole book. Loved his performance.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
    Nope - no extreme reaction.
    Any additional comments?
A good book for someone seeking a fun and fast read. And appropriate for teenagers, so no worries there. (Unlike Fifty Shades of Grey)
An audiobook worthy of an up-all-night marathon
Where does Walk the Edge rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Walk the Edge is by far one of the best audiobooks I have listened to. Not only is the story captivating, realistic and certainly edgy, the performance was superb. High school angst usually isn't my style of entertainment, but this story goes beyond teenage drama.

A month ago, 17-year-old Jackie was certain she was human and that supernatural creatures didn't exist. So when she discovered she was a shapeshifter and that her narrow world view needed to broaden to include vampires, werewolves, the fae and many other magical creatures, she was faced with two choices: have a full-out meltdown, or embrace her abilities and run with them.
Teaming up with three other young shifters and training to use the skills they were gifted with, Jackie found a peace within herself that she'd thought would never be possible. Now Garrett, her vampire trainer, was her lifemate and her team was ready to defend the magical community from those who chose not to live by the laws set in place to protect the weaker members of their world.
Unfortunately, because of her unusually strong magical abilities, Jackie caught the interest of a Fae Lord, a creature so powerful he can manipulate the potent magic that flows through the earth with just a thought. Now Jackie and Garrett are on their way into the realm of Faerie to celebrate the Midsummer Solstice with their allies - in more danger than they can possibly imagine.

    Highly recommended!
I have invested both my time and money into traveling this journey that the author has laid out for us. I can honestly recommended that you do also. I started down this path with an offer to listen for honest review with the first book in the series. I was so drawn into the story that the minute I finished I couldn't wait for the author to read and respond, to offer the second I one clicked and started the next before the review was live on Amazon! So I can honestly say that I love the series and think you would love it also! It is truly well done!
    Loving this story
The next chapter in Garrett's and Jackie's adventures. Keeping you on the edge of your seat to find out what is going to happen next! Can't wait for the next one!
    It was just ok
This series is very similar to Twilight in the fact that the theme of the book is young love. I did enjoy it but I prefer other paranormal authors.
An exciting adventure in an amazing world
Jackie continues to grow into a powerful, sassy and compassionate young woman/shifter. I love her relationship with Garrett. Reba Burr is the perfect narrator for this young adult novel/series.
Want rest of series in audiobooks!! Great read

    Fantastic story
What did you love best about Gods of Anthem?
Having read and reviewed the e-book copy, I couldn't wait to see how this translated to audio.
This was my first audio book and it was a great one to start with.
Gods of Anthem is a rollicking good yarn filled with memorable characters, mysteries, tensions, heartbreak and some twists and turns you don't see coming.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
What other book might you compare Gods of Anthem to and why?
Although Gods of Anthem fits squarely into YA-dystopian, it is a difficult book to categorise. You could compare it to other works - Alice in No Man's Land, Divergent, Hunger Games, V for Vendetta, but it is more than that. Logan Keys takes the genre and makes it her own. Gods of Anthem is unique.
Which character as performed by Rhiannon Angell was your favorite?
    Liza
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Rise. Dare to dream, dare to live, dare to survive.
    Amazing
    Any additional comments?
I absolutely loved this book. The author did an amazing job with world building and creating characters I care about.I liked that the main female character was intelligent, brave and stuck to her morals.Rhiannon Angell did an amazing job narrating the audiobook. She has a really pleasant voice to listen too.I purchased the Ebook, but received an audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review.I look forward to reading more from this author.
Great story & Characters w/Spectacular Narration
What did you love best about Gods of Anthem?
I don't read (or watch) dystopian and I rarely read YA so I kind of had no business reading (or listening to as the case was ) this book. But you know what? I freaking LOVED it. Just goes to show that a book with a great story, engaging characters and writer that knows what the heck they are doing will transcend genre.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Gods of Anthem?
I have to admit...when I realized I had gotten myself into a book with all manner or other-worldly heros (insert super heros, undead, vampires) I though oh-no, but with a little willing suspension of disbelief what I got was a great journey, phenomenally interesting back drops, characters I loved and cared about and all the emotional ups and downs a great book can deliver.
What about Rhiannon Angells performance did you like?
    The narration was spectacular.

    Publisher's Summary:
They say a soul is the immaterial essence, the animating principle, the actuating cause of an individual life.
But what if you had to share yours with the one person you hated the most?
The soul mate principle states that for every one soul there is another that will recognize its match, hence creating the perfect union.
But what if you had two soul mates, which would you choose?
What if your choices had eternal ramification?

Great start to a rollercoaster ride!
As the two guys destined to fight for the love of Sam weave in and out of her dreams she often has the feeling of deja vu. But while reading this paranormal romance with a love triangle I never had the feeling I'd read it all before. The premise of this novel, rooted in the anger of some very recognizable figures from Greek Mythology, was surprisingly fresh; especially the origins of Nick and Marcus who we soon find out have more in common than could be humanly possible.
This story is not lacking in backstory. The first 60% of it is a prologue of sorts as Nick, Marcus, and Sam visit each other's dreams by night and then do typical teenager stuff by day. As fate would have it (or The Fates in this case) the three main characters meet in Samantha's town after a tragic event sets a prophecy in motion. The action and character interactions in the real world pick up from there, and this story ends on a major cliffhanger that left me with more questions than answers. I should have been more annoyed, but the backstorytelling was so good I ended up being impressed instead.
The author's writing has a distinct and consistent voice that made for easy and enjoyable reading. Deceived is full of funny sayings I haved dubbed Starkeyisms. For example, phrases like "rather brush my teeth with superglue" and "making her look like an emo clown" had me smiling. The story arc on this one is still arcing by the time it's done, but I still enjoyed it.
You Had Me at Modern Day Mythology
Back in October, Loren and I went to the Texas Teen Book Festival. One of the highlights of the event was meeting authors and getting books signed. But one of our other favorite parts of events like this is networking with authors and bookish companies we didnât know prior to the event. One of these was Starkey herself, who had a booth at the event. The bookâs cover was just so lovely that we were both drawn to her table. She mentioned this tour and I was really excited and knew right then weâd have to sign up for it. The thing that immediately drew me to the book was that there was this element of a divided soul (something Loren and I have worked on it one of our stories) and the Greek mythology component.
I love the idea behind this story. Starkey has melded mythology into the book, but it was different than some of the other Greek mythology books Iâve read. The lore was folded into the plot very naturally, and it seemed to progress in a way that made sense for the character and story.

Not Bad, But Also Not Very Memorable
What made the experience of listening to This Raging Light the most enjoyable?
    Here's my review from Goodreads:
There were a lot of things I loved about this story and only a few I didn't. Dysfunctional family stories typically catch my attention, and I really like how this story showed the good in the world and in people, not just the ugly sides.
Overall, it's an interesting read. People who like and need a lot of resolution in an ending will probably be dissatisfied. Luckily, I am usually more interested in the journey than the ending, so I was okay with it.

Great snapshot of their first christmas
I am shocked, shocked I say! This narrator has some serious skills. She did accents perfectly. Her voice was so emotive, it was like I was there. I could hear the sarcasm, the playfulness and the serious tones. It was very expressive. Her book was full of so many different accents and it made the characters in my head come to life in a way that was impossible while reading to myself.
Its no secret I loves me some Stormy Smith. Her writing is professional, detailed and well rounded. And I wish this novella was longer just so I could hear the narrators voice nail all the different characters. I will say I found Aidans voice a bit hard to listen too at first, like she was trying to hit a lower register than was possible for her. It made me cringe a bit in the beginning. But once I got used to it, the whole cast really came together nicely.
I like this audio so much, Im looking for other books she has narrated just so I can hear her voice again. Well done Kristin James! And of course, kudos to Stormy for writing such a wonderful book to be narrated.
    So much Christmas love.
Would you consider the audio edition of Bound Together to be better than the print version?
I have considered this whole series a major plus for listening to it. The narration has brought the book more alive and into a fourth dimension you don't get by reading. Voices are given to each character.
    Which scene was your favorite?
Listening to these two together, in love, and enjoying every minute has made me smile the whole time. I enjoyed their excitement. Through all the smiling I even had a moment where I started to tear up. It's such a heart filled moment. So much love in these characters and after all they've been through, they get to enjoy it.
I enjoyed the tree searching and when they exchanged gifts. I don't want to say to much and give it away. ;)
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely. It's short, only an hour. So listen to it for the heartfelt love these two have for each other and their loved ones. This story feels like the concluding ending that we should have. It ties in the roles Amelia and Aidan and others come to rest at.
    Any additional comments?
Oh young love. *sigh* They are still getting to spend their exploratory time together. Loving in the flirting and teasing ways. They are so in love. They are soul mates.
Christmas is a time to remember those you love, and Aidan is a strong influence for Amelia to experience Christmas to the fullest extent. Neither have had a true, happy Christmas with loved ones and traditional celebrating. They think on those they love, every ornament having a meaning when placed on the tree. Everyone is enjoying their holiday, sharing love with so many people. They are all spreading the love and cheer.

    Great story with wonderful narration
This is my first audio book. I was originally daunted by the length of it, but became very impressed with the execution of it. The narrator did a very good job of getting the tones right and changing her voice enough that you'd recognize who was speaking, and even the background noises made it more fun.
I had read the first edition of this book which is about a 100 pages less. I found that the author's addition of the hundred pages really made a great difference. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book but this one was just well-rounded out.
The only part that seemed to drag for me was the two times there was a song played to stress the piano music in the book. The music was appropriate but I wanted to get on with the reading and so it was more of a distraction for me.
I could easily listen to another narration by Ms. Wright and I look forward to Ms. Koevoet's second book!

Wonderful YA Series with a Great Storyline
Chameleon begins with Sam and Will traveling with her class to France to meet with the mysterious Waldhart de Rochefort aka Sir Walter. Will's sister, Mickie is there as one of the chaperon. Even though Sam and Will is in France, Helmann's daughter, Gretchen has set her eyes on Sam and believed that Sam is the key to building the superhuman.
This story goes more in depth of what the Rippler is and is able to do. More revelations are revealed as Sam and Will learns more about their rippling abilities.
Gwyn is still part of the story. In the Rippler, Sam chose Will over Gwyn. In this story, readers/listeners will want to know if Sam will ever tell Gwyn the truth and that Will is not an abusive boyfriend. Another thing is that readers/listeners will also want to know is how does Will feel about Sam. Remember, this story is told from Sam's POV so we already know how Sam feels about Will.
The narrator, Sarah Mollo-Christensen does a wonderful job of narrating Sam and Will and the German characters. The narrator made the experience that Sam and Will really did travel to France.
I was given this audiobook by the author via Audiobook Blast and voluntary wrote a review for the book. I was not compensated or influenced in any way for writing this review.
Another great book in this series
Where does Chameleon rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
    It ranks in the 90%
What was one of the most memorable moments of Chameleon?
When Deziem revealed to Sam he was indebted to her then later dying to protect her.
What about Sarah Mollo-Christensens performance did you like?
She has a smooth style and the ability to change accents.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was not happy with the way Deziem was treated. I loved the honor of his burial.
    Any additional comments?
I look forward to the rest of this series. This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBlast dot com.
    Good sequel, great audio
What does Sarah Mollo-Christensen bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
I would definitely listen to this narrator, she does amazing accents and is pleasant to listen to.
    Any additional comments?
I started reading Chameleon shortly after finishing the first book, Ripple. I loved the Ripple audio, but at the time had the trilogy ebooks and decided to try reading an ebook again. My schedule just wasn't working out, with only reading a chapter or two on weekends, so I was happy to get the audio of this sequel to blast through on my commute. I forgot how amazing this narrator is. I loved her accents and I really think that adds so much to the enjoyment of the story.
The sequel was quite good, a solid 3.5 stars, so I would say it did well for being a "middle book" (though it appears there are many other books in this series that are outside the original trilogy). I liked how this takes place mostly in France, so we get a fun travel experience through the eyes of our characters.

    Publisher's Summary:
For 20 years, the Palomas and the Corbeaus have been rivals and enemies, locked in an escalating feud for over a generation. Both families make their living as traveling performers in competing shows - the Palomas swimming in mermaid exhibitions, the Corbeaus, former tightrope walkers, performing in the tallest trees they can find.
Lace Paloma may be new to her family's show, but she knows as well as anyone that the Corbeaus are pure magia negra - black magic from the devil himself. Simply touching one could mean death, and she's been taught from birth to keep away. But when disaster strikes the small town where both families are performing, it's a Corbeau boy, Cluck, who saves Lace's life. And his touch immerses her in the world of the Corbeaus, where falling for him could turn his own family against him, and one misstep can be just as dangerous on the ground as it is in the trees.
Beautifully written and richly imaginative, Anna-Marie McLemore's The Weight of Feathers is an utterly captivating young adult novel by a talented new voice.
    Critic Reviews:
"Narrators Kirby Heyborne and Cynthia Farrell enhance the beauty of the language in this story.... The dual reading reflects the emotional struggles both teens experience as they fight their feelings, and their families, to stay together." (AudioFile)

    A gem of a book
What did you love best about The Weight of Feathers?
So many things; I may need to come back and add to this review when I have more time! For now:
The story drew me in right from the start, and never let me go.
The touches of magical realism are light and beautiful, accentuating the whole without overwhelming the story, and leaving me with beautiful and novel imagery to enjoy long after the story is done.
Lace and Cluck's characters and actions were believable, and I could hardly imagine anyone not caring about them. Their relationship developed in a way which allowed me to believe in their love, and root for them.
The language and dialog are beautiful and moving, yet unaffected and believable -- there is nothing labored or self-conscious about Ms. McLemore's style.
I loved the touches of Spanish and French, and the ways in which these things are part of the flavor of each of the two families.
    Really great
I really liked the story. You think it's going to be just another twist on Romeo and Juliet, but the backstory and characters and world of the story was so detailed that it really stood out, and I looked forward to reading it. I like how the chapters switched character points of view as well.
    A Fantastic Debut

In The Weight of Feathers we are introduced to two feuding families the Palomas and the Corbeaus. Both make their livings as traveling performers, yet a deep-rooted animosity between the two has divided them for over 20 years. When disaster strikes, and the Paloma daughter, Lace, and one of the Corbeau sons, Cluck, are found inexplicably drawn to each other, the tension brewing between the families is dangerously brought back to the forefront. Written in beautiful prose, and comprised of wonderfully developed characters, The Weight of Feathers is a perfect blend of Romeo and Juliet and The Night Circus.

It's his last year at Pine Mountain, and Ryan Dean should be focused on his future, but instead he's haunted by his past. His rugby coach expects him to fill the roles once played by his lost friend, Joey, as the rugby team's stand-off and new captain. And somehow he's stuck rooming with 12-year-old freshman Sam Abernathy, a cooking whiz with extreme claustrophobia and a serious crush on Annie Altman - aka Ryan Dean's girlfriend, for now, anyway. Equally distressing, Ryan Dean's doodles and drawings don't offer the relief they used to. He's convinced N.A.T.E. (the Next Accidental Terrible Experience) is lurking around every corner - and then he runs into Joey's younger brother, Nico, who makes Ryan Dean feel paranoid that he's avoiding him. Will Ryan Dean ever regain his sanity?
    Critic Reviews:
"A brave, wickedly funny novel about grief and finding a way to live with it...." (Kirkus)

    helped me a lot
this book was amazing, outstanding, brilliant! i am 14 year old girl and even this booked helped me get through a lot, like Nico. i doubted if i was actually the was i thought i was because of others. Ryan deans personality, out look and wittiness is just uplifting in ways. he can also make you feel sad and pull you down. i loved the first book and i definitely love this one!
No where near as good as the first.
Like. Narrator was good probably a bit better than Mark B still love that guy through.
    Like. Character development
Dislike. That's all you get character development. There is no real point to this book. 10 hours of nothing. I would maybe get the third book, might be better. When it's out. This book is so weak. It also raps everything up in 30min at the end I'm not joking the first 1 hour and the last 30min are all you need to know about this book. So stand -off it for now you will just feel like an idiot for wasting 10 hours off your life.
