    Publisher's Summary:
On the night before they leave for college, Clare and Aidan only have one thing left to do: figure out whether they should stay together or break up. Over the course of 12 hours, they'll retrace the steps of their relationship, trying to find something in their past that might help them decide what their future should be. The night will lead them to friends and family, familiar landmarks and unexpected places, hard truths and surprising revelations. But as the clock winds down and morning approaches, so does their inevitable good-bye. The question is, will it be good-bye for now or good-bye forever?
Charming, bittersweet, and full of wisdom and heart, this new irresistible novel from Jennifer E. Smith, author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, explores the difficult choices that arise when life and love lead in different directions.
    Critic Reviews:
"Over one epic evening, Jennifer E. Smith expertly captures every painful, perfect nuance of first love. I didn't want the night - or this book - to end." (Sarah Dessen, New York Times best-selling author)
"Fans of Smith's previous works, namely The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, and other love stories like John Green's The Fault in Our Stars and David Levithan's Every Day, will like this novel, which is a similar combination of head and heart... A welcome addition to any library." (VOYA )
"Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between is the love story of Claire and Aidan, high school sweethearts who spend one last day together before college separates them, possibly forever. It's also the love story of good friends, of home, of what used to be and what's to come. This latest stunner from Jennifer E. Smith will linger in your aching heart. (But it's a good ache. The best kind.) It's an ache that comes from characters who are so real they breathe, and a relatable story that generates feels - lots of them - on every page." (Jennifer Niven, New York Times best-selling author of All the Bright Places)

Another winner from Jennifer E. Smith
Jennifer E. Smith is one of my favorite contemporary YA authors. I feel like I can always count on her to deliver a good story that takes me to a place in my teenage years. While Iâve loved all her books, her first one is my favorite. When I was at ALA this year, one of the Little, Brown publicists told me she liked this one even better.
Do I agree? Not really. I did enjoy this story, but I think maybe the plot was too far from my own experience to really get engrossed.
For instance, as noted in the summary, Clare and Aiden have been together for a few years. I didnât have a high school boyfriend. I also didnât go to college too far away from home (though I did move out). I had also ditched the high school scene kind of early to do some early college work.
That being said, there was a lot of tension and emotion that I could relate to. There is something so surreal and unbelievable about graduating high school and leaving for college. Even though youâve spent four years with a group of people (provided you attended the same high school for all four years), those last days feel like a rush cramming memories and goodbyes. There is pressure to make it memorable. If you can make it memorable, then maybe it will last.

Child Protective Services yanks her from her home, suspecting her parents. The kids at school mock her, assuming she took it herself. And Ethan, the boy she was really starting to like, backpedals and joins the taunting chorus. MY HEART WENT OUT TO POLARITY!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I absolutely would...this was a deep and thought provoking story!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Polarity...she is a tough little lady!
What does Caitlin Kelly bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Caitlin was awesome as always, she is a true professional, never any editing mistakes, and makes you believe in a story!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Polarity's mom has her melt down and told her she hated her....and also when they didnt believe Polarity....I really felt sad for her....
    Any additional comments?
** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
I loved this, I cried for this girl...This really hit home with me, Having a mentally ill parent is hard, and when conflict like this nude pic of Polarity arises it can trigger many different things...I felt bad for Polarity, but she never gave up...and the way this mystery played out, was something very special!
I recommend!! Great story and flawless narration!!!
    Captivating Story, Thought-provoking Messages
What did you like best about this story?
The main character of Polarity is self-aware, flawed, but strives to make the right choice. I found her likable and easy to relate to. Her growth within the story was profound, but happened naturally as she experienced things that widened her perspective. Every character felt real and fully-fleshed. Almost as a metaphor of her name, every character had good and bad qualities which made them seem real and helped me as a reader sympathize with all of them.
What about Caitlin Kellys performance did you like?
The voice actor did a great job. Every voice was distinct, and I knew automatically who was who. My only criticism there is that the "Texas" accent sounded more like the southeastern United States than Texan. I'm from Texas, so perhaps that's overly picky
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes.
    Any additional comments?
I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.
I loved it. It was thought-provoking and layered and real. It deal with real, difficult issues, but didn't resort to using graphic violence or sexuality for a shock factor.

    Publisher's Summary:
Never date your best friend. Always be original. Sometimes rules are meant to be broken.
Best friends Dave and Julia were determined never to be cliché high school kids - the ones who sit at the same lunch table every day, dissecting the drama from homeroom, and plotting their campaigns for prom king and queen. They even wrote their own Never List of everything they vowed they'd never, ever do in high school. Some of the rules have been easy to follow, like number five, never dye your hair a color of the rainbow, or number seven, never hook up with a teacher. But Dave has a secret: he's broken rule number eight, never pine silently after someone for the entirety of high school. It's either that or break rule number ten, never date your best friend.
Dave has loved Julia for as long as he can remember. Julia is beautiful, wild, and impetuous. So when she suggests they do every Never on the list, Dave is happy to play along. He even dyes his hair an unfortunate shade of green. It starts as a joke, but then a funny thing happens: Dave and Julia discover that by skipping the clichés, they've actually been missing out on high school. And maybe even on love.

    Never, Always, Sometimes
An interesting take on teenage angst. It was neat to see the point of view shift. A great author/narrator combo!
    SO Fun!
Adi Alsaid does it again! This was really fun to listen to, and I didn't expect the shift in POV. The narrator does a really good job with all the different voices from teachers to jocks to the main characters. I especially liked how she could portray coolness as well as teenage angst. Awesome young adult book!!
    just not for me
all in all this book had everything I usually love, but this story had me full of anxiety and it was hard to finish.
Started Great. Did Not End Great.
What made the experience of listening to Never Always Sometimes the most enjoyable?
Here's my pasted review from Goodreads:
This was okay for the first 80%, and then the last 20% was all blah and not convincing. It also made me question the point of the story, and now, I am not not sure there even was a point to this story.
It's a backwards twist on a bucket list, which was fun. The best part is the adorable relationship between these two best friends. The worst part is that the story lies about character emotions, throughout, in order to inform the final outcome, which is typical and uninspired, at best.
    Excellent narration.
    Slow start for me
What would have made Never Always Sometimes better?
Expressing the characters different points of view instead of the 3rd person.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I'm not sure, but I know what to listen for now.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It was really the 3rd person point of view that really turned me off.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Never Always Sometimes?
There needs to be more drama at the first. It was somewhat predictable.

    Publisher's Summary:
Sherlock meets Veronica Mars meets Ferris Bueller's Day Off in this story of a wisecracking girl who meets a weird but brilliant boy and their roller coaster of a semester that's one part awkward, three parts thrilling, and five parts awesome.
When Philip Digby first shows up on her doorstep, Zoe Webster is not impressed. He's rude, and he treats her like a book he's already read and knows the ending to. But before she knows it, Digby - annoying, brilliant, and somehow attractive? - has dragged her into a series of hilarious and dangerous situations all related to an investigation into the kidnapping of a local teenage girl. A kidnapping that may be connected to the tragic disappearance of his own sister eight years ago.
When it comes to Digby, Zoe just can't say no. Digby gets her, even though she barely gets herself. But is Digby a hero, or is his manic quest an indication of a desperate attempt to repair his broken family and exercise his own obsessive-compulsive tendencies?
A romance where the leading man is decidedly unromantic, a crime novel where catching the crook isn't the only hook, a friendship story where they aren't even sure they like each other - this is a contemporary debut with razor-sharp dialogue, ridiculously funny action, and the most charismatic dynamic duo you've ever met.

Best Book I've Read In The Last Year
I'm a gigantic Veronica Mars fan, and I love teen noir, so you can take my review with a grain of salt, if you'd like. This novel was probably the best I read recently, and by recently, I mean in the last year. When I saw the pitch of Veronica Mars meets Sherlock meets Ferris Bueller, I almost hurt myself rolling my eyes, since that is basically a "too good to be true" description, but in many ways, it's incredibly accurate.
Zoe, the narrator, AKA Princeton, is the child of two recently divorced individuals who has started at a new school which is not very accepting of new students. She's lonely, sad, and recovering from watching her parents' marriage dissolve slowly. Digby is a liar, on a cocktail of drug prescriptions, who is trying to solve several mysteries at once, which might or might not be related. Through out the first half of the book, it's hard to say if they're even friends. Digby's motivations for friendship seem clearer at first, but aren't really. It's hard to figure out why he's chosen Zoe to befriend other than she doesn't know how to permanently reject him. Zoe's choice to continue to hang with Digby is even more confusing, but, oddly, I don't fault her. Sometimes we meet people who are horribly bad for us, and we just continue to hang out with them anyway because they seem fun.
The third in their group is Henry, the highschool QB who is "hero handsome" according to Zoe. She's incredibly into him, but Digby is forever reminding her "for her own good" that Henry will never be into her. This is pretty much their dynamic. Digby is nonchalantly cruel to his friends, Zoe is pragmatic about the attentions and attractions of Henry and Digby while enjoying their friendship, and Henry seems swept away by their madness.
The main "case" of the novel is a missing teen, but along the way, drug deals, religious cults, a really skeezy doctor, and bombs factor in.

    Too much chatter
I love a good story but this author just seems to like hearing herself speak? Or maybe she is trying to cram more words into a weak plot? Either way, I gave her one try, and then two. That's more than I could barely take.
    Voices too similar.
I liked the book and the narration overall, but I felt there wasn't enough difference between the voices of Logan and Rachel and found myself confused as to who was speaking several times.
    THE NARRATOR IS TERRIBLE
Would you try another book from C. J. Redwine and/or Renée Chambliss?
I would try another book from CJ but I would not listen to another book by Renee Chambliss.
If I read/listen to the last book, I think I will read it, I just can't listen to Renee.
What did you like best about this story?
It's a good read, but I thought book 1 was better.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
There are several spots where she is too monotone. As a female reading mostly male parts, she just has too much of a feminine, soft voice. Her voice doesn't even match what I envision Rachel to be. Her voice is terrible for the masculine voices.
    Any additional comments?
I really don't like books that are written in 1st person present. I know there are a lot of authors that do this - I think it is a very distracting read.

A famous gay theme, which of course I enjoyed
This is the basic gay High School student that becomes involved with the popular jock in High School. The main character knows he is gay and others in his school think of him as gay. This version has Hispanic overtones, which is a nice addition. I love "Hispanic" men. The reader had a strange effect on me, he does a great job, and he was easy to listen to, I guess I felt that his reading was like listening to a recording played back at slightly slower speed than originally recorded.
So for me, there wasn't any surprises with this story, but I enjoyed it and the characters I surely cared for. I guess for me it is still surprising that this country is still making this type of story a possibility, what I mean is the need for gay boys to be in the closet still. I know that back when I went to high school, 60's, I was deeply in the closet and at the same time was surely attractive to some of the very cute jocks, as well as none jocks. I guess I was fortunate in that I didn't look or act gay, so my attraction to other boys was a painful experience that NO one else ever guessed at. Thus I am still alive now, for if anyone had ever found out my life would not have been guaranteed for very long.
So the good thing about such stories for myself now is that these types of romances are available for the general public to read. Thus helping other gay boys have the feeling that they are not alone in this world, and even possibly give them hope that some hot jock could be gay. Actually I didn't spend much time in the gym, mainly because I was so shy and totally not interested in being competitive, I am still not that competitive now. If someone threw a ball at me, I would duck, I surely would not try to catch it!! Jocks for me lived in a completely different world. They had other boys as friends and touched each other and joked around. They were also very dangerous boys, they were strong and powerful and therefore could be very threatening for me. Unpredictable I guess. Of course I felt ashamed that I was attracted to them at the same time they scared the shit out of me.
I guess I am talking about myself back when I was in high school, mainly to explain why these types of stories have so much attraction to me now. To be strong, physically active and also beautiful, at least from my point of view, made me feel so attracted to these boys to the point I felt like a moth attracted to a light. This made me very ashamed with myself and I felt there was something truly wrong with me.

I left everything I knew behind. But it was worth it. He was worth it. No one thought an ordinary girl like me would last two minutes living with the Amish, not even me. There are a lot more rules and a lot less freedom, and I miss my family and the life I once had. Worst of all, Noah and I aren't even allowed to see each other. Not until I've proven myself. If I can find a way to make it work, we'll be Noah and Rose together forever. But not everybody believes this is where I belong.

Hard to Follow All the Rules
This book picks right up where the first one left off. I felt like Rose would one day wake up and be so sorry that she gave up her life to become Amish for Noah. She goes through some eye opening experiences of how hard it is to not have electricity, etc. There are some good times too, also some great twist to the story.

Review courtesy of The Tattered Page:
So, in Belonging, Rose Cameron gives up everything she has ever known to be with the guy she loves. That guy being Noah Miller. Noah Miller who is Amish. Yes, I said it Amish. Rose, on the other hand, is not. Still, they manage to fall head-over-heels in love with each other. But, of course, their love is not that simple. The young couple have two choices. One, Rose converts to the Amish life or two, Noah cuts all ties from his Amish community and family and never look back. The lesser of the two evils seems to be choice number one. So, Rose dives right in ... and does considerably well, adjusting to Amish life. But it goes without saying, there are curve balls and doubts thrown a them without relent. Several people - including jealous Amish girls and sick, twisted Amish guys - that do not want to see Rose prevail in Amish life. Not to mention, the family Rose leaves behind, who fight tooth and nail to get her back.
Having said that, I was a bit peeved that Noah would not even consider the option of him leaving the Amish life to be with Rose. He simply expected her to join the community. Noah's reasoning: the Amish don't receive formal education beyond the eighth grade and he already had a good job that would provide for Rose and their family, whereas, if he joined the "English" world, there would be a real struggle for him to provide for their future family. Don't get me wrong, Noah had valid points but still ... he could have at least humored the idea. Or been torn, even a little.
And yet, how could a Rose - or any English girl for that matter - not fall hard for Noah Miller? While he is Amish and raised to live the life of the Plain, adhere to a strict set of rules, and expectant of female submission Noah is passionate, willing to fight for the girl he loves, and kind.
On that note, the road is still a long one going for Rose and Noah as they fight not one but two clashing cultures to be together. And while this part of their story focus more on Rose's transition into Amish life and less on the forbidden love between her and Noah, I will not say much except that the plot twists are worth the read!
    Happy Reading!

Review courtesy of The Tattered Page:
So, just to recap, this is the last book in the Temptation trilogy by Karen Ann Hopkins. This first two books are Temptation and Belonging. The storyline revolves around to teenagers and a good ole forbidden love. Noah Miller is Amish and Rose Cameron is not. How cool is that? There is no surprise that I could not wait to read the triology. Alas, I am writing that review for the last book. :(
For starters, although I though Belonging was a little slow for my taste, Temptation and Forever hit the spot. In Forever, readers get to see the rest of Noah and Rose's struggle to keep their love as well as all of the little bumps on the road. Noah and Rose still face the same problems. The Amish community not entirely ready to accept Rose and Rose's family not wanting to let her simply go, Amish psycho stalkers, not to mention Rose's bun in the oven and a fatal storm thrown in the mix. But by the last page I felt satiated instead like a worm on a hook, left out to dry for no darn good reason.
What I also love about this book is that we get Sarah's (Noah's sister) and Sam's (Rose's brother) point of view as well. Instead of taking away from Noah and Rose's story they added to it. Readers got a little extra side story with Sarah and Micah as well as with Sam and Summer. Stories that I would have loved to read more of.
"...I'm going to begin courting Edwin.'
His hand shot out and grabbed my arm. The heavy feel of it made the blood drain from my face. 'What...?'
'Are you crazy, Sarah? You don't even like him.'
'Course I do. And who are you to say so?'
Micah leaned in and said with a sureness that made me believe him, ''Cause you like me, that's why. Things will settle down soon between our families, Don't do something that we'll both regret.'" [page 15].
Well, if this review isn't convincing enough, you should find out enough. Noah and Rose's story (with a little bit of Sarah and Micah's) is definitely worth the time to read.
    Happy Reading!

    Feeling ambivalent
I very much wanted to finish this trilogy and started to read Forever directly after reading Belonging.

    Publisher's Summary:
Your heart misleads you. That's what my friends and family say. But I love Noah. And he loves me. We met and fell in love in the sleepy farming community of Meadowview, while we rode our horses together through the grassy fields and in those moments in each other's arms.
It should be ROSE & NOAH forever, easy. But it won't be. Because he's Amish. And I'm not.

    MY NEW WORLD FOR LOVE
I gave this book 4 stars as I found it hard to put down. It KEPT my interest right from the beginning. It did, however, have several grammar errors as far as usage etc but it didn't seem to change my interest in the story itself.
The story deals with a young English girl who meets and falls in love with a young Amish boy which is against the Amish beliefs. There is trouble with the families in dealing with this relationship and the different cultures involved. You'll have to read the story to find out how things pan out for this young couple.
For now, I'm on to the second part of this great series. Enjoy!! Judy F.

Review courtesy of The Tattered Page:
Each and every time I have visited Barnes and Nobles recently, I have picked up Forever and stared at it curious about Noah and Rose's story. But it was the last books in Karen Ann Hopkins trilogy. So, when I finally decided to head to B&N to pick up Temptation low and behold there were no copies. of any of the three books in the trilogy. Anxious to read the trilogy, I got my butt on Amazon and purchased them.
    I could not stop reading!
I am not even joking, for two days straight, I binge read the Temptation trilogy. From beginning to end, I was ensnared with Noah Miller and Rose Cameron's love story. The way Hopkins incorporated the Amish culture and using it as the basis for the forbidden love aspect was brilliant. And so darn believable.
When I say believable, I absolutely mean it. All of the characters, especially Noah and Rose were written so genuinely. They felt and were portrayed exactly as teens in their age would. Neither character was put on a pedestal. or flawless. There were times where I go frustrated with them, for being the teenagers they were. For instance, Noah was honorable, kind but selfish. Rose was the typical teenage girl but bitchy.
And I found the experience was refreshing.
Noah and Rose's story is about two teenagers falling in love for the first time and all the pains, headaches and adult interference that comes with it topped with an Amish twist. Temptation is definitely a worthwhile read.
    Happy Reading!

    Tough Decision
Thank you for this heartwrenching and heartwarming story about Rose and Noah and their two different worlds. I felt sorry about the hard decisions they had to make in order to be together. I enjoyed the storyline and the many characters.
I loved this sweet, innocent romance...
I adored this book so, so very much. I loved Noah even though at times he drove me mad. But his simple ways was a huge selling point. There are days I think of how great it would be to shed all the unnecessary items of the modern world and just be. Just be. That is all. No cell phones, no reality crap tv, no distractions.
