    Teen Life & Friendship
Teen & YA Fiction are some of my favorite genres. This story is pretty laid back and if you enjoy listening to the normal everyday lives of teens you will enjoy this book.
I have listened to so many books in this genre but this one was too slow for me. Not much happens in the story then it fast forwards almost 4 years at the end and wraps up with a HEA.
It is cool to have some Spanish mixed in there and the characters were ok but I was not drawn into the story.
The narrator did an Ok job. I found it to be quite slow and sped it up a bit.
**This audiobook was provided free of charge in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion**
    Oh teens
    2,5 *
Oh uh how should I start?
Not a good choice in the narrator... bad, bad. Well maybe the reading material wasn't interesting enough... Let me explain. It took me more time to understand the story, it was like the characters were just bored to death... and that's so bad for the book.
I missed out on emotion, a very important part for an audiobook, right?
I was struggling to read it to the end.
Another bad thing for me, maybe I'm not used to it, but, repeating every character's name in the same sentence, easy to get lost in the words.
Ariana did this, Lucas said that... All I know is that Ariana doesn' t stop talking about college.
And it's all I know, not so much for the details, some kind of plot... was it a plot? It wasn't captivating me.
High school drama felt like middle school drama. What to expect from a teenage love?
Girl meets boy. Some highs and lows. Girl loses boy. Then live happily ever after. The end.
Nothing special or different, maybe I was expecting more?
I feel bad reviewing this, maybe if I read it instead of listening to it I would be more enthusiast now.
    Without You
    Any additional comments?
I had a hard time finishing this book. I had to listen in spurts. Nothing really happens in the story. Nothing. Except typical high school things. I kept waiting for something to happen. The last half hour of the book has the most excitement of the whole book.
The beginning stages of a relationship and the feelings most young girls feel. The insecurities, the hope, the excitement, the whole range of emotions. Then the changing emotions and stronger bond that evolves when a relationship grows. The struggles of a long distance relationship. The heartbreak and the eventual HEA.
Actually they are in high school for most of the book but at times it reads like they are in middle school.

    Best Sweet Romance!
This was the best sweet romance that I have read in a long time teens and older than teens will smile along with the fun and adventure of a two childhood friends learning that they are perfect for each other. The narrator was great and made the story come alive.

    Phenomenally flawless
It's hard to try and muster up the words to describe this book. Okay, it isn't realistic in Tiley, as the endnotes says, and in my opinion, the note at the end is just as important as the book itself, but the story it's a romance, it's A self discovery novel of self acceptance, it is in my opinion, a future gem for LGBT readers. Please if you are considering listen to this, Go ahead. If the romance aspect puts you off, don't worry, I hate romances. I despise them with a passion, and that is no exaggeration. But this, this is the romance that even I ruted for, and when you crack me, the hardest of the lot when it comes to romance, you know you've done a good job. And, just when I was getting bored of the romance aspect, the author seemed to know and brought the focus away from Grant for a bit. It was creepy, like she had read my mind. Guys, I am gender queer, and take this from me, it does not disappoint. It was everything I wanted and more. Thank you Meredith. And Side note, I think the authors note at the end is actually read bye Russo herself, so for that reason and the content with it's reassuring message and advice and knowledge, please, please listen.
    Amazing and relatable.
I loved this book. I am very much similar in the story of Andrew but my name is Jessica not Amanda. I got emotional at points and the author really wrote a great book and I'll be getting it physically too now xx
    Phenomenal
I adored this book it's so important so powerful just beautiful please please please read this or listen to it
    A very important book
I absolutely adored this book! I loved how well the author wrote about gender identity and sexuality in such a way that I could have a connection to the characters although I was not going through the same things as them. I think that this a very important book to read, or listen to, especially young people such as myself. I felt like I learned so much from this book yet in such a way that wasn't boring or preachy, just a well written story in the voice of a trans character. If this book was read and enjoyed by more people then I feel like that could really help with the way we view trans people or anyone who is different to ourselves. Also, I love that audible included the message from the author at the end as it was a very nice touch and helpful to anyone who has enjoyed this book or is going through the same struggles as the characters in this story.

A SMART, SHREWD GEM -- with girly curly-cues around it. And glitter.
I'd give this six stars if I could. I want to say "It's ADORABLE," but it's actually smart and shrewd and creative and the humor just glitters. I started out highlighting my favorite phrases/lines, and finally just gave up because it was taking up too much of my reading time. I read it on a 12-hour Flight of the Damned from NYC to LA and it had me laughing out loud. My seat mate finally asked what I was reading on my Kindle. I summarized the plot and she said, "Wow, that sounds like so much fun! And smart, too." It opened a whole conversation, which I finally had to shut down so I could keep on reading.
Robin Palmer has hit the perfect tone with the character of Zoe -- the self-deprecating, dry wit that is perfect for the genre -- and she weaves through it sharp insights about "How to Be a Good Person," which is a challenge in any era. There are familiar-with-a-twist main characters, quirky minor characters, and the world of Castle Heights High will be clear to anyone who went to secondary school. I love how specific and detailed Palmer is with all of her characters. Wonderful sparkly gems of personal traits of Jonah that only Zoe knows, and great descriptions that make the scene really "play out" in your mind -- including double-takes and funny facial expressions. I really did wonder how the author would wrap up the time travel quandary satisfactorily -- and she did. Because there is only so much you can control in life.
    Highly, HIGHLY recommended.
    A Definite Page-Turner!
'Once Upon a Kiss' by Robin Palmer was a delightfully smart and witty read. It captured the angst of adolescence mixed with the doubts, intensity, and courage that make the characters in YA novels so fun and easy to read about.
Zoe is not quite unpopular, but she resides on the outskirts of the hierarchy that makes up her high school. Her best friend, Jonah, is right there with her. She knows everything about him, as he does about her, and even though they seem a perfect match, their friendship overrides any romantic feelings that Zoe is sure will never develop. Andrea, the typical mean girl character, is always around to make Zoe's life more annoying, while her boyfriend, Brad, is nice, but falls under Andrea's spell quite easily.

I started my junior year of high school knowing three definite things: I believed in God. Good grades were the key to my future. And I wanted a boy to take me to prom.
Then Liv happened. The way her eyes smiled when she watched me made my stomach do somersaults. Mysterious and flirty, she inspired me to question things about myself I took for granted. People seem to think certain traits are ingrained in you from the moment you're born. Personality, special talents, sexual identity, things like that. But what if some things aren't so black and white?
What would people say if they knew Audrey, the good church girl, was actually only...almost straight?

    Beautiful
This is a beautiful story about a girl who is bisexual. The romance and mood will swing you back and fourth between melting, crying and everything in between! This is s must read for everybody.
A very good coming out story
I really enjoyed the story, it was heartbreaking felt and sincere in the telling of how the world views the LGBT world. there was some issues where the narrator would repeat words but not sure if that Mt was the recorders fault. I enjoyed being in Audrey and Livs world for a bit. Lots of what they went through I did as well.
    Wonderful and powerful
this was a well written and perfectly tormenting love story. true it was predictable but in none of the ways that mattered. the only reason for the lost star was because there were more than a few times when the narrator stopped and started, lost her place or falsely anticipated a line and corrected herself. but that wasn't really her fault. it should have been edited better. the narrator herself was amazing. you could tell she was feeling the story and getting into it. her passion and emotion brought out every character and emotion.
    terrible editing on the audio
this story was terrible, nothing really happened. the worst part though was the actual narration. whoever edited it did not take out the mess ups or when narrator decided to change the deflection of a voice or she pronounce the word wrong. the line or words just simply repeated. do not waste your time on this book the story is absolutely rubbish nothing interesting happen at all and it feels like it was written by a 15 year old.
ok.... pretty sure it says optional here
having to leave twenty words is stupid I quite reviews on goodreads and don't want to double do it. I will leave a rating to help people decide if they are not on goodreads but because of this rule I rarely even rate anything here. change your stupid rules and just let us leave a rating

    Publisher's Summary:
In this second book of the City Love trilogy by best-selling author Susane Colasanti, three girls share a Manhattan apartment the summer before college begins. Lost in Love captures the essence of summer love, self-discovery, and sisterhood - a perfect fit for fans of Sarah Dessen, Jenny Han, and Jennifer E. Smith.
Sadie was convinced that Austin was her soul mate, but after discovering his secret she wonders if she even knows him at all. Darcy is all about fun boy adventures with no strings attached...until her ex moves to New York City to win her back. Things are getting serious with Rosanna and her boyfriend, but will she be able to break free of her past and let him in? With no parents, no rules, and an entire city to explore, this is the summer that will change their lives forever.
Told from alternating points of view, Lost in Love weaves a story of first love, first heartbreak, and everything in between.
    Members Reviews:
The characters are lively, and sometimes funny, but the plot was less than inspired
I like to read YA novels aloud to my wife, as we both enjoy them. Lost in Love was a so-so novel about 3 roommates who are in the "Big Apple" for the summer, working over the interim before they begin college. All fall in love, with fairly dismal results.
The characters are lively, and sometimes funny, but the plot was less than inspired. The man in this story come across as stick figures, with a few exceptions, and are untruthful, somewhat bullying, and not the ones you hope your daughter might marry. The young women's circumstances are quite different, and they strive to keep their secrets confidential from each other. They do develop a kind of sisterhood, although the poorest resents the wealthiest for both her wealth and her apparently spoiled character.
This was an acceptable read, but Colasanti has done better.
    Underwhelming
This was a terrible book. Outdated phrases, non cohesive storylines, and just all around not worth it. Definitely not worth $11, would demand a refund if it were possible.
    Five Stars
Excellent merchandise, great price, fast delivery, would buy from again.
Just as charming as the first
As a note, an e-galley of this novel was sent to me via Edelweiss by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not effect my opinions in any way.
Because of my love for the introduction of this trilogy, Lost in Love was at the tip top of my to-read list this spring. It did not disappointâin fact, it is the perfect novel for any romantic to have on hand this summer. Susane Colasanti shows her writing chops again with a heartfelt summer adventure filled with romance and friendship and the age old questioning of those entering adulthood.
Back it again are our girlsâSadie, Darcy and Rosanna. Each girl faces a world of changes with the backdrop of New York City just in the distance. When we left them in City Love, the trio were navigating their new lives and new loves, all the while befriending one another and exploring their contrasting personalities.
Drama was at an abundance when it came down to a few flaws in their new lives. Sadieâs found her soulmate, Austin, only to discover he isnât at all who she that he wasâthat he was keeping a huge secret from her. Heâs married.

so its a bit girly but thats what I like and I love how it's about Romance but it's not to over the top. its clean romance. It talks about abusive relationships and how with friends and family beside you. You can make it though it all. I think you can tell she has great friends that not only are cool but keep there words and know right from wrong. You know how they say when your friends dont like the person your dating there is something wrong with them. also when your mom tries to tell you without telling you they dont like them why would you keep it going. Luckily she gets out of the relationship and fines a guy thats the best its like what many say the guy you should be with is aways under your nose. try the book you might like it I know I did...

    Such a Sweet Idea!
I read the summary of the book and thought it just couldn't go wrong with such a sweet idea. I love the land of dreams where I can run free with my dream book characters. The actual dreams were the best part of the book for me. The overall story had less of an emotional pull but was finishable. Max in real life was hard for me to want to be friends with or be romantically interested in.
    Boring like crazy
When I first heard the premise of the story I was so interested to see how will the relation between Max and Alex proceed after they discover they are real people .. I expected some drama and bit of action .. what I got was a boring story line where everything is so convenient to the main characters they didn't put an effort in anything at all .. everything was moving so fast that I often wondered if I missed something .. one moment Max is being rude to Alice and literally the next moment he is head over heals for her !! nothing about these characters is relateable whatsoever .. the narrator was nice but she lacked some impressions which made the story even slower for me .. she is nice but I guess she didn't have a nice material to work with .. so sad that I didn't like this book because I liked the premise of the story so much

The summer after graduation is supposed to be that first real taste of freedom - but not for 18-year-old Chloe Branson. Just as that breeze of freedom is making its way into her galaxy, her secret-service-agent dad drops a meteor-sized bomb of bad news on her and her sisters. An attempt has been made on the lives of Canadian boyband, Spaceships Around Saturn, during their USA tour, and the guys have to go into hiding ASAP. The only problem? In the midst of the crisis and media frenzy, their dad volunteered to hide the guys...in their house.

The SAS guys aren't happy with the situation, either. Bad boy Jules picks fights with Aralie about everything from his Twitter followers to his laundry, and heart-throb Benji can't escape Emery's fangirlisms for more than three minutes.

Every single time Emery was in the scene, my heart went SQUEEEE!
What about Rachel Jacobss performance did you like?
Everything, oh my goodness. She sounded so much like a real American teenage girl with a wrecked summer because of a boyband. Just the right amount of snark and giddiness.

    Yes!
