He is certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine & the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He runs his practice at Charlottesville Neurology and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Winter has worked with MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL teams. He has two books out now, The Sleep Solution and The Rested Child. He got his start working with professional sports teams when he started to track how switching time zones affected won loss percentage with MLB teams. He coined the term “circadian advantage”. With his work he has brought to light how lack of sleep causes injuries. This episode will be a great resource for anyone. We go all over the map on sleep and performance.
