Aaron Montgomery, founder of "Our Success Group," speaks to us about flipping the script on something he refers to as "Hustle Culture," a concept which describes how we have been conditioned to work harder, compete, and out-do in order to achieve success. Montgomery tells us of how he got swept up in this "bro marketing world" himself, constantly having to do more, be more, and produce more. This left him feeling overwhelmed, unable to collaborate, depleted, and questioning whether or not this seemingly incessant run on a hamster wheel was worth it. It was then that Montgomery decided to shift away from the hamster wheel, flipping the script on his own mindset to one that would now focus on clarity and purpose, rather than a blind reach for the next rung on the corporate ladder. He says that though we still need to action, we can find authentic balance when we allow ourselves to be pulled by passion rather than pushed by competition. When we do so, we find ourselves landing in the more fulfilling place of something that Montgomery refers to as "Coop-etition."
