Merry Christmas Story Lovers! We are so excited to bring you our two-part CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!

This is our version of Aladdin and his Magic Lamp.

Here in the UK, we have a great tradition of Pantomime, and the story of Aladdin is very popular at Christmas! It's also a request from one of lovely patrons.

You’ve probably seen the Disney version of Aladdin, but the older versions are a bit different.

The story appears in later versions of the 1001 nights, or the Arabian nights, but it's actually not part of the early collection. It appeared in the 1700s and is thought to come from storyteller Hanna Diyab - but who knows where he got it from!

You can find out more about the origins of Aladdin HERE.

Make sure to listen out on Christmas Eve for PART TWO of this epic adventure - we'll also have a story from lovely Kim Normanton from Super Great Kids Stories as an extra Christmas treat. Yippee!

Hello listeners!  While you’re waiting for the next new story, we’ve decided to look back into the archives at some stories that got a bit lost for a while.

Every other week, we will be giving these episodes a spot light and calling them 'the lost stories'.

And this one is our Spooky Halloween Special from Season 3 - lots of treats (no tricks) in this episode.

Firstly, we have a song that we learned from Kate Corkery and Winston Nzinga, also known as Spud and Yam! The Boogie Man song! We hope you join in at home.

Our first story is from Emily and she heard it from the lovely Liz Weir, who appeared in season 2. This is Liz's favourite spooky story for little ones with a nice surprise at the end. Make sure you use your spookiest voices!

Our second story is from Leo and it's a little bit creepy - The Cursed Doll - but it's actually a joke that's been turned into a story. So if you're brave enough to hold on until the end, you'll get a good giggle.

Hello story lovers!  While you’re waiting for the next new story, we’ve decided to look back into the archives at some stories that got a bit lost for a while.

Every other week, we will be giving these episodes a spot light and calling them 'the lost stories'.

Our story is an old fairytale from Ireland about a 'changeling'. Changelings feature in lots of folklore and you can find out more about them HERE. We made a little lullaby for this episode with words from WB Yeats' 'The Stolen Child' too!

Hello lovely listeners!  While you’re waiting for the next new story, we’ve decided to look back into the archives at some stories that got a bit lost for a while.

Every other week, we will be giving these episodes a spot light and calling them 'the lost stories'.

This episode, Our story is a tale from the Mapuche people of Chile, a country in South America. There are many ancient stone masks that come from the Mapuche people, but unfortunately not much is known about them. That is why their folk tales are so precious! This story is a bit scary, but it's sooo good! If you'd like to learn more about the Mapuche you can do this HERE
