  • Tournament

Hellooooo listeners! For this very special episode of Dragon’s Demize, Greg is joined by Thomas DiSalvo, one of the actors from the new movie Tournament. In the movie, a group of unlikely friends meet to battle in a trading-card tournament, only to have an outsider come in and shake things up at their local game shop. Greg and Thomas talk about what it was like diving into the world of trading card games and creating a fun, authentic story that appeals to gamers and non-gamers alike. This is one episode you won’t want to miss, and of course you won’t want to miss Tournament either! You can check them out on Facebook, Instagram, or their own website, www.tournamentmovie.com.

Greg also finds the time to talk about his recent board game adventures. This week, those include another Delta Green mission, Mystic Vale, and the delightfully miserable Gloom.

  • Building Tension in Survival Co-op

Hello listeners, and welcome to another episode of Dragon’s Demize. This week on the podcast, we’re trying out a new segment called Topic of the Week. In this inaugural run, we talk about some of the ways survival co-op games build tension, from attempting to overwhelm the players to introducing resource scarcity to restricting your time to act. There’s a lot of ground to cover and we tried to do our best, but I’m sure there are things we left out. If you have thoughts on the survival co-op genre, let us know on Facebook or Twitter. We’d love to hear your ideas!
