Drew Quartapella is a founder and Managing Director of BlackArch. He has over 20 years of middle-market mergers and acquisitions advisory experience as both an advisor and a principal and has advised on transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $5 billion.
Mr. Quartapella is co-head of BlackArch's Energy, Distribution and Consumer practices. He also has transaction experience in the fields of Infrastructure & Construction; Distribution & Supply Chain Management, Food, Beverage & Agribusiness; Consumer & Retail; Industrial Growth & Diversified Manufacturing; and Applied Technology & Digital Media.
Mr. Quartapella founded Edgeview Partners in 2001; Edgeview Partners was a leading independent middle-market investment bank until its sale to The CIT Group in 2007. Mr. Quartapella served as a Managing Director of Edgeview and the Head of M&A at The CIT Group.
Mr. Quartapella started his career in the Houston office of Arthur Andersen & Co. as an advisor in its enterprise practice. During business school, he served as an associate in the investment banking division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York. Mr. Quartapella was instrumental in the formation of W-H Energy Services a Houston-based energy services firm. He served as chief financial officer of W-H, supporting the company's growth through internal expansion and numerous acquisitions.
Mr. Quartapella participates in many philanthropic endeavors in the Charlotte area at the board level and as an active volunteer.
A native of Houston, Mr. Quartapella earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Houston, where he received the Jesse H. Jones Academic Scholarship. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Mr. Quartapella lives in Charlotte with his wife and two children.
