This week Matt and i discuss one of the greatest achievemnts in american cinema "Termiator 2: Judgement Day"

We taste of lineup of 3 Jack Daniels expressions. The Bonded which was released last year and voted as one of the best new whiskies of the year as well as the single barrel rye and single barrel barrel proof. Bother single barrels were old bottles from 2021.

This week Chris joins me to try out a new Old Forester single barrel pick he won in a raffle at Seven grand and to discuss a movie that he's been pushing to cover on the show, "Road House". Not only do we have a good time chatting about this crazy film but we get into a conversation about more whiskey and Steven Seagal movies. This episode is all over the place. I also tried an experiement recording on one iphone and using Adobes new AI audio enhancement to see how well it performs. This week Matt and I finally try out the Sierra Norte Rainbow Corn Whiskey and discuss Gregory Nava's directorial debut "El Norte".
El Norte is an extraordinary film that everybody needs to see. It follows a brother and sister that escape genocide in Guatemala by immigrating to Los Angeles, California. Not only does this film show their journey across Mexico but it gives a look into what life is like and the struggles they endure once they get to the states. Please give this move a watch before listening to this episode if you can.

This week Matt and I try out the 2022 and 2023 Old Forester single barrel barrel proof picks from the Cove Cocktail bar in West Covina. They are both exceptional pours perfect for any bourbon enthusiast. They go great in an Old Fashioned as well. After our tasting we discuss the iconic sci-fi action film "The Terminator".

This week Becky Smith joins me once again, this time to chat about Nelson's Green Brier distillery. Becky explains the rich history of Nelson's Green Brier and shares several expressions. The Wheated Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey, Nelson Bro's Classic Bourbon, Reserve Bourbon, Honey Cask, and 15-year-old Rye. It was my first time trying any whiskey from Nelson Bro's and I was pleasantly surprised by each expression. They were all stellar.

Season 5 of Drinks and a Movie is here! This week my very first guest on the show Lindsey joins me once again. This time we're discussing the controversial Samp Peckinpah masterpiece "Straw Dogs" starring Dustin Hoffman and Susan George. We pour two exceptional bottles of rye whiskey from Sagamore Spirit. This week Matt and I discuss one of my all time favorite films. 1993's Blood In Blood Out starring Jesse Borrego, Damian Chapa, and Benjamin Bratt. As well as a stacked cast of some of the greatest character actors ever. This film is an epic that should be seen by everyone. I'll let our recording speak for itself. FOr this one we tried out El Mero Mero Mezcal, the espadin expression. I had never had it before but felt it was worth trying since it reminded me of the movie. It was a great pour and I'm excited to try their other expressions soon.
