  • Mi Familia (1995)/ Sierra Norte Purple Corn Oaxacan Whiskey
This week Malia and I finally break the seal on a bottle of Purple Corn Mexican Whiskey from Sierra Norte. We also finally chat about Gregory Nava's 1995 film 'Mi Familia'. Otherwise known as 'My Family'. This is a personal favorite of mine so I'm glad it's finally on the show. It's an epic story that follows three generations of a family, starting with Jose's walk from Mexico to Los Angeles CA in the 1920's.

  • Top Gun ('86) Live commentary from Aug. 28, 2020/ Firestone Walker 805 blonde ale
This episode was recorded as a live commentary for 'Top Gun' in August 2020. Matt put together this live stream watch party as a fundraiser for the Drinks and a Movie podcast back when my audio gear was stolen. Since I'm behind on editing and the new 'Top Gun: Maverick' is the big blockbuster of the moment I thought it'd be fun to release this recording. Matt, Sean, and myself drink 805 blonde ale and talk through the 80's classic. To everyone who joined us and donated to the cause, thank you so much. This podcast wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for you support. Please continue to share it with others so we can keep growing.
