Drinks and a Show

Are you a jellicle cat?? Do you know what that is?? Neither do I, but you can listen to this episode to get an idea what a jellicle cat really wants. We bring back Bronwen (Ep 18 Les Miserables) who requested we do this musical to see what the hype is all about. I was even dedicated enough to watch the 2019 movie, which I recommend listening to this episode so you don’t have to watch it. My main source was watching the 1998 pro shot of the musical

Wondering what the highlighted favourite songs I gave to my guest? Here they are:

- The Rum Tum Tugger

- Skimbleshaks: The Railway Cat

- Mr Mistoffelees

- Memory

In a galaxy, far, far away in Chicago an ambitious crossover made its way on to the internet. Star Wars on stage, how do they do it?

Well listen to this episode where I speak to Alexie (Episode 16, Rocky Horror Show) who I tell this musical too and he tells me the references and for some reason just yells out random quotes I don’t understand.

Can a show based on a Stephen King novel be a successful musical? Yes AND no would be the answer. Inspired by the podcast series “Out For Blood” I speak to my aunty Ali about the musical “Carrie”. Originally lasting only 2 weeks on broadway this musical still managed to grow a fanbase that help keep the show alive.

Wondering what the highlighted favourite songs I gave to my guest? Here they are:

- In

- Carrie

- The World According to Chris

- Do Me a Favor
