  • When Others Hurt You, It's Not About You

    Send us Fan Mail

Soul healing begins with understanding the intimate connection between our hearts and minds. What we think shapes how we feel, and what we feel influences what we think—a powerful cycle that determines our response to trauma, abuse, and victimization.

The most liberating truth for anyone who has experienced abuse or violence is this: what happened to you says nothing about your worth and everything about the perpetrator's damaged heart. Their actions stem from their own depravity, their unresolved wounds, their spiritual darkness—not from anything lacking in you. This perspective doesn't minimize your pain but frees you from the burden of self-blame that so many victims carry.

Looking at Jesus' response to his accusers provides a powerful model for healing. Even as he suffered horrific violence from the very people who had once praised him, he responded with compassion: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." He recognized their spiritual blindness without taking their actions personally, though he personally bore the consequences of their cruelty. This demonstrates a spiritual strength we can cultivate—the ability to seek understanding without excusing wrongdoing.

The dangerous cycle of victimization turns victims into perpetrators when left unaddressed. Without proper healing, those who experience violence often perpetuate it; those bullied frequently become bullies. Breaking this cycle requires disciplining our thought life, filling our minds with truth rather than revenge fantasies, and cultivating peace even amid turmoil. There's a crucial distinction between seeking justice (which promotes healing) and pursuing revenge (which keeps us bound to bitterness).

Your healing journey begins with recognizing that "thoughts run your life" and intentionally feeding your soul with God's promises rather than ruminating on past hurts. This spiritual discipline transforms your inner landscape from battleground to garden, allowing God's peace to guard your heart and mind. No matter what's been stolen from you—joy, security, dignity—restoration is possible when you choose the path of spiritual growth over self-destruction.

  • Fear: The Hidden Monster Within

    Send us Fan Mail

Fear lurks in the shadows of our lives, manifesting in ways we often fail to recognize. From procrastination and perfectionism to avoidance and lost identity, the spirit of fear weaves itself into the fabric of our daily existence, slowly draining us of the peace we were created to enjoy.

In this soul-stirring episode, we journey deep into understanding what fear truly is from a spiritual perspective. The revelation that "God did not create us with a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7) becomes our anchor as we explore how fear attaches itself to us through trauma, abuse, or threatening environments, often triggering physical symptoms like panic attacks, trembling hands, and chronic anxiety.

The antidote to fear isn't found in mere positive thinking but in perfect love. When we allow God's flawless love to permeate our entire being, fear has no choice but to flee. Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, we discover that even in our most terrifying circumstances, we're never alone—the fourth man in the fire walks with us through every trial.

Practical spiritual tools emerge as we learn to dress ourselves in God's armor, speaking His promises over our lives and acknowledging His presence in every situation. The transformation becomes tangible as fear's grip loosens: "One day you'll say, 'Oh, my goodness, I'm not shaking anymore... I don't have to isolate myself... I matter.'"

Ready to break free from fear's prison? Place your hand on your heart and join us in a powerful prayer of healing that will begin your journey toward the peace-filled life you were designed to live. Your path to freedom starts here.

  • Truth Drips: Embracing Divine Love When Everything Hurts

    Send us Fan Mail

Ever felt like you're sinking in quicksand, struggling for breath as life's demands pile on? You're not alone in that suffocating space between overwhelm and surrender.

The journey through life's crushing moments—those days, weeks, or months that drain your very essence—requires more than just endurance. When injustice strikes, when people push your buttons, when systems larger than yourself seem determined to break you, a critical choice emerges: Will you continue dwelling in pain, or will you turn toward healing?

This episode explores the sacred practice of stillness and contemplation as pathways to peace. Rather than emptying your mind (only to have it filled with something else), what if you intentionally filled it with thoughts of peace? The transformative power of redirecting your focus from life's catalysts of pain toward divine attributes creates a sanctuary within yourself, accessible even during your darkest moments.

We dive deep into understanding Jesus as "the way, the truth, and the life" beyond theological abstractions—exploring what it means practically for navigating life's quicksand. Through personal testimony of finding supernatural peace during a devastating divorce, this message demonstrates how divine love provides tangible comfort and stability when everything else falters.

When anger threatens to consume you, when exhaustion overwhelms you, remember that curiosity about God's nature can itself become a healing force, diminishing depression and pain without you even realizing the transformation underway. Your journey toward wholeness begins with a single choice to be still, to contemplate something greater than your circumstances, and to allow uncorrupted love to embrace you exactly as you are.

  • Soaring Above the Storms: Training Your Mind to Overcome Adversity

    Send us Fan Mail

What happens when we keep digging up the bones of our past? Why do we constantly circle back over traumatic experiences, making trophies of our pain? This powerful episode confronts the destructive habit of burying ourselves in sorrow and offers a liberating path forward.

The battlefield of your mind is where life's most critical battles are fought. When negative thoughts flood in – "I can't make it," "Nothing good will come of this" – we must actively replace them with declarations of victory. Your thought vault can be filled with gold or coal; the choice is ultimately yours.

We explore the enemy's true strategy: he's not primarily after your circumstances, relationships, or finances – he's targeting your soul and sanity. While attacks will certainly come, sometimes like perfect storms, they can only do so much damage. How we respond determines our outcome.

Drawing from passages like Isaiah 40, we discover how those who wait upon the Lord "shall renew their strength and mount on wings like eagles." Like these majestic birds that soar above storms rather than being battered by them, we too can rise above our circumstances rather than being buried by them.

The transformative power of words cannot be overstated. "Life and death are in the power of the tongue," Proverbs reminds us. When we speak God's truth over our situations instead of voicing our fears, we create pathways to victory and healing.

Feeling overwhelmed by circumstances beyond your control? Listen to this episode to discover how to stop living in the hopeless and start soaring above your storms. Remember: God rebuilds, restructures, restores, and renews – that's His business. In Him, we find the strength to not just survive but thrive.

  • Spiritual Storm Prep: The Soul's Hurricane Kit

    Send us Fan Mail

Have you ever felt like you're drowning in life's storms, frantically thrashing about only to sink deeper? That's exactly where today's journey begins—with a powerful reminder that sometimes our desperate attempts to fight through trauma can actually push us further into chaos.

This soul-stirring exploration of navigating life's inevitable storms offers profound wisdom on finding stillness when everything within us screams to react. Drawing an illuminating parallel between a non-swimmer panicking in water and our emotional responses to trauma, we uncover the counterintuitive truth that being still—even amid gut-wrenching pain—creates space for divine guidance to enter. The message resonates with clarity: delay is not denial; trauma is not the end; and today's overwhelming shock will not always feel so devastating.

Like residents in hurricane zones who prepare emergency kits and evacuation routes, we need spiritual, emotional, and practical preparation before life's storms hit. Prayer serves as our spiritual armor, building reserves for future battles much like daily vitamins strengthen physical health. This preparation empowers us to make conscious choices during emotional turmoil rather than destructive decisions that provide temporary relief but ultimately sabotage healing. From avoiding negative coping mechanisms to embracing healthy activities like dancing, walking, or volunteering—each recommendation offers practical steps toward weathering "life's drive-bys" without losing yourself in the process.

Whether you're currently weathering a devastating season or preparing for future challenges, this message offers both comfort and strategy. Subscribe and share this episode with someone struggling to find their footing in life's unpredictable waters. Remember—storms have endings, and with divine assistance, impossible situations become transformational journeys.

  • Finding Strength in the In-Between: Holding onto Faith Through Injustice

    Send us Fan Mail

What happens when the systems designed to protect us fail? For countless victims of domestic violence, this isn't a hypothetical question—it's a devastating reality that plays out daily across our nation.

The brokenness in our legal system creates a dangerous paradox: while many sit in jail for years awaiting trial, those charged with domestic violence often walk free immediately, returning to threaten, assault, or even kill their victims. This episode confronts this painful truth while offering pathways to healing and hope through powerful biblical examples of women who refused to surrender their fight for justice.

We explore the remarkable story of the Shunammite woman who, after years in exile, boldly appealed to a king and received complete restoration of her property. We also examine Jesus's parable of the persistent widow who, through sheer determination, convinced even an unjust judge to grant her request. These ancient stories speak directly to our modern struggle, reminding us that persistence can overcome seemingly impossible odds.

The most intimate moment comes through a deeply personal poem about living "in the in-between"—that disorienting space between trauma and healing. "I find myself living in the twixt and the twain, neither here nor there, seemingly in the real, surreal, nowhere." This raw exploration of the survivor's journey acknowledges the pain while pointing toward the possibility of finding rest even amidst uncertainty.

If you're walking through your own valley of injustice, or if you work within systems that touch these issues, I invite you to share your experiences. Email me at [email protected] or comment on this episode. Together, we can bring truth to light and work toward meaningful change while holding onto the promise that hope in divine justice never disappoints.

  • Electric Lady: Finding Your True Self in Christ's Love

    Send us Fan Mail

The Easter weekend represents the cornerstone of faith for millions worldwide, but beyond its religious significance lies a profound message about mental healing and identity restoration. This episode delves into the remarkable story of Mary Magdalene – a woman once tormented by "seven demons" who became one of the first witnesses to Christ's resurrection.

Moving past religious jargon and psychological labels, we explore how trauma manifests in human lives – creating disconnection, distorted thinking, and a profound sense of lostness. Whether you've experienced addiction, homelessness, relationship breakdown, panic attacks, or simply feel you've lost yourself along the way, Mary's journey offers a compelling parallel.

What makes her story so powerful isn't just her healing, but her complete transformation and restoration of purpose. Though the Bible doesn't detail her specific symptoms, her experience represents anyone who has felt mentally fragmented, emotionally tortured, or spiritually oppressed. The profound truth is that she wasn't excluded from Christ's inner circle because of her past – instead, she was honored as the first to proclaim his resurrection.

The episode features a reading of Isaiah 53, highlighting Christ's sacrifice, followed by the original poem "Electric Lady" that celebrates the transformed identity available to those who embrace healing. Throughout, we return to a central truth: our worth isn't determined by social status, perfection, or past experiences. Rather, we're created in God's image, with an inherent value no circumstance can diminish.

Whether you're questioning your identity, struggling with mental torment, or simply feeling lost, this message offers hope that complete restoration is possible. Your trauma doesn't have to define or control you anymore. As we contemplate Easter's deeper meaning, consider watching "The Passion of the Christ" or "The Chosen" series to better understand both the humanity and divinity of Jesus – and the healing he offers to everyone who reaches out.
