Writer, Speaker, and Social Justice Educator Dr Jon Paul joins Ally and James on Drop the Subject to discuss how race is taught in schools. They look at the trickle down effect that takes place in the education system where racial bias is not something that is discussed where teachers are learning than how that bias movies into the classroom that they later teach. And on the other side of that, the teachers that do want to have those conversations are often limited by the school district out of fear that parents may become uncomfortable. Dr. John Paul and Drop The Subject also bring up that people must acknowledge the ways the system is broken in order to fix it and the importance of representation.

This week TV Personality and Journalist Jason Carter joins DTS to dive into how the world of entertainment, from late night to individual protest celebrities have shown up in the wake of George Floyd and the violence against marginalized groups
