We definitely appreciate your time, your energy, appreciate your coming back! And because we do, we’re bringing one of guest. This week, we introduce one of our guys, Dennis Montgomery, known to most as Mont.

We were able to sit down and just have a good conversation with him, about Managing Change. The one thing that’s inevitable in life is change, and as long as we’re living, we’re given another chance to get it right. Mont gives his perspective on topics from how he’s managing parenting, working, growing as a family, having a support system and it’s importance, to discipline, and everything in between

Again, nothing better than sitting down, having the conversations that we preach about having. Realizing that we all encounter most of the same situations, of course everything is tweaked to your life, but chances are, we’ve all seen it. Heard a elder say "Nothing’s new under the sun.” That’s fact, and knowing that in itself can help you realize you can talk to others for help, perspective and resources.

This month, we wanted to bring you all a little something different, so these conversations are gonna take a little bit of a turn, and it’s going to get a little warm, little sexual, a little wild, but always, much needed conversations.

We’ll start you a little slow, softer even. Today’s episode is addressing intimacy, how we manage it, how we address, what does it even mean to us as men, or at least these 3 black men.

Intimacy can happen on so many levels, from the closeness of friendships, the intimacy of your romantic partner, to the level experienced from your family, we share the way it effected us as a youngster and now.

As men, as women, in your romantic relationships, we all have what we consider a code. Our way we handle each other, handle certain situations, how we manage relationships outside of those that are in our circle, anything outside of that code or being understood leans into what we consider Sucka' Sh¡t.

Sucka sh¡t is when you step out of that code, go against what's been established as right. Dating or attempting to date your friend's past significant others, telling something that was told to you in confidentiality, and so many other examples of this are seen daily. Just because it's done daily doesn't mean it's right, at all. So the question is how do you manage this when it's encountered? What's been something you've witnessed, been a part of or maybe even did at some point that was some sucka sh!t?

We've all seen or been a part of a friendship where one person did something that was totally out of line, but pretended they didn't know it was as bad as it actually turned out to be to the other parties. How did that get handled? Was that person banished from the friend circle, physically accosted, never spoken to again?

Sucka action isn't always between friends. It can be with your significant other, it can even be within yourself. Not holding yourself as accountable as you should can be some sucka action.

Let us know some of your examples of a time that you feel you've experienced or even witnessed some sucka sh¡t. You know we love to hear from y'all!

Whether academically, in finance, romantically, even in our careers, it's bound to happen, but how did you deal with it? Did it break you? Did you learn from it? Did you grow from it? Did you help someone else not experience it, and learn from yours?

We've all heard the sayings about getting back on the horse after falling, try, try again, so on and so forth, bit what if failing happens to help you realize that maybe that lane, that thing wasn't for you? Obviously failure has a place in life, because it's not going away, but managing the steps after it happens can be the most important thing about it.

We told you all that we were going to do things a little different this season, and he we go! What better time than for Black History Month to bring in someone to speak to us about financial growth, financial freedom, generational wealth, budgeting, etc. Our guy Jeffery Lamar of Hamilton Wealth Advisors come in and drops some serious dymes on the topic of money!

We can't tell you how to get rich before dinner, but Jeff does let you know how important it is to leave something behind for your loved ones, the importance of having a Trust, a last Will and Testament, having those tough conversations about death and what comes next, and how having those conversation whil you're here can help your family when you're no longer here to advise them on the next steps.

We here at Dropping Dymes have made a promise to make sure we're having the conversations that more of us need to have, and we definitely felt like this qualified as one of those talks.

This episode, we do some inner work. Well, at least the beginning of some good inner work, and that's the deep look at ourselves, and see what needs to be worked on, needs to be tweaked, what we do well and how we can use those tings to grow and be better for everyone around us.

That self reflection allows us to do a self inventory of what's working, what's not, what other's see in you that may not see in yourself, and then how we move forward with being the best versions of ourselves.

Here's a something to think about though: What if the things others see might not see as admirable, but you think is "okay," do you work on those things based on how others feel about that trait? Do you even take a second thought or look at that particular thing, or wave it off as others might not understand your reason or excuse for being that way?

Today's episode is all about chivalry. We ask the question that we hear all over the place, and that is "Do you think chivalry is dead?"

Chivalry has become a bigger topic of discussion largely because women say they don't think men are as chivalrous as the men of old. We discuss what could be leading them to feel that way, what aren't we doing to make them feel that way, and what can be done to change the perception. Of course our local analytical thinker, Wallace takes us a little deeper and has us think of it from a different angle.

We still want to know your thoughts on the matter though. Do you think chivalry is dead, or do you think it just has a different look nowadays? Leave us a little something in the comments. What do you look for as chivalrous? Ladies, would you continue to see someone who isn't chivalrous, or do you possibly try to teach him? Let us hear your thoughts on it.

Welcome to Dropping Dynes Podcsst!

You know we wouldn't just leave you all with absolutely nothing. We deicded to leave some quickies, hut if you all have been following us long enough, you'll know even our quickies turn into "long-ies," but it's only because we're so passionate about the topics, and our minds start going on and we want to just give you ALL those thoughts.

This was a good talk about effective communication. When effective communication is understood and practiced, it can definitely make life easier, but what does effective communication look like or feel like to you? Do you think it can be as effective when both parties involved aren't actually looking to practice and implementing effective communication practices? It's sounds crazy, but there almost has to be a conversation about being able to talk ans communicate.

We want to know what you deem effective communication? How do you establish it, or how do you address it not being there? You know we want to hear your thoughts, so let us know. Come and talk to us!
