Hello! This week we are joined by Jack Geary who is the drummer for Atlantic Records artist and rising star Maisie Peters. As well as their own headline shows they’ve also been tour support for Ed Sheeran on his stadium world tour. We had a great chat and a laugh about tattoos, bad chorizo, playing stadiums, your role as a support act, auditions (good and bad), the power of hi-hats, playing a function the day after 5 nights at Wembley and his BDC kit. Enjoy!

After discussing our choice of t-shirts we chat about last week's gig which included eating too much pizza and another tyre issue for Ben. George is back rehearsing with Elliott Joseph and is impressed by his parallel parking, and a friend’s gig took a turn for the worse when the groom’s dad suffered a cardiac arrest midway through the party. We also take a look at some cymbal triggers sent in by a listener to add to the dream sound limiter kit. Enjoy!

Wedding season is back! But before we venture out for our first Decade gig of the year there’s some Easter egg chat, discussions on why are there less wedding gigs this year, George settling into his new flat, playing with 7A sticks and has Ben come up with the ideal kit set up for venues with sound limiters? Oh and George got caught speeding. Enjoy!

Morning all! Plenty of waffle for you this week; George took on the Sprite challenge and is once again thinking about purchasing a new snare. We also ask should drums be available on a hire purchase deal? We’re concocting plans to head to the UK drum show in September and discuss if gigs in the day are a good idea. Plus Ben gets a puncture at a comedy gig but with a nice surprise ending and we also find out how it went when George and his Dad tried to meet Dave Grohl. Enjoy!

Welcome to the ‘No Burp Club’! This week we welcome onto the show Mr James Gillingham; a drummer from Brighton who sessions, teaches and is one quarter of the band Congratulations. We chat about techniques for playing quiet and loud, the long road to becoming a full time drummer, his Premier and Natal kits and we find out what medical condition he and George share. There’s also a revival of everyone’s favourite game ‘Car or Drum’ and which delivery company left James searching in bushes for half an hour. Enjoy!

This week we welcome onto the show one of George’s drumming idols Jay Sikora! Jay has had an extensive drumming career playing for the likes of Stephen Fretwell, Paolo Nutini, Lianne La Havas and Birdy but it wasn’t until his 30s that a lot of this happened as he was enjoying another successful career at Apple. We chat about all of the above plus his Canopus kit, when Jools Holland’s Hootenanny really takes place and heading back out on tour after 6 years, a wedding and two kids. Enjoy!

Whether podcasts, music or pottery, why do we seek our friends' approval even if they’re not our target audience? VALIDATE US PLEASE! Well we had a little SITA (shot in the arm) when we found ourselves sitting at number 12 on a list of great drum podcasts so we had a self indulgent chat about that. Also as drummers there can be many reasons we need to play quietly so how does one go about it? We also divulge into some boring admin calendar chat and assigning colours to days of the week and months of the year. Enjoy!
