When we see that Jesus was condemned, most believe it was due to the fact that He was rejected by every Jew. This is not true, there were Jews who believed in Him.

We come to the section of the Catechism that reviews the three main reasons why the Jews rejected Jesus. He did not accept their morality, their place of worship (Temple), nore their accepted belief in God.

The one final thing that brought Jesus to His Passion and Death was the beliefs of the Jews. They saw in Him a revolutionary who was undermining their faith and believed that He was a heretic. Because of this, they condemned their Messiah out of both ignorance and arrogance.

When Jesus was sentenced to die, one of the charges against him was relating to the way he seemed to belittle the most important part of Jewish identity, the Temple. But, the reason for this has more to do with his incarnation and being the living Temple not made with hands.
