This week on Century of Lies: A Gender Perspective on Substance Use.

The United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs held its Sixty-Eighth

Session in Vienna, Austria back in March. One of the side events at

this year\'s CND was entitled Breaking Barriers A Gender Perspective

on Substance Use, which examined gender-specific challenges faced by

women in substance use treatment and policy-making. On this edition of

Century we hear presentations by some of the panelists including

Doctor Corina Giacomello, an academic and researcher based in Mexico

who\'s a consultant with the Pompidou Group; Zara Snapp, co-founder and

director of Instituto RIA; and Ganna Dovbakh, Executive Director of

the Eurasian Harm Reduction Association.

Dana Larsen is a well-known Vancouver cannabis activist and politician. He is the co-founder of the Vancouver Seed Bank, founder of the Vancouver Dispensary Society, and Vice President of the Canadian Association of Cannabis Dispensaries. Dana also runs the Medicinal Mushroom Dispensary also selling Coca leaf and Kratom.

This week on Century of Lies: #CND68 Part Three. The United Nations

Commission on Narcotic Drugs held its Sixty-Eighth Session in Vienna,

Austria back in March. A number of side events took place during the

session that were organized by member nations, UN agencies, and civil

society organizations. On this edition of Century of Lies we hear

portions of a side event entitled \"Addressing Gender Inequalities and

Compounding Vulnerabilities in Drug Policy,\" starting with opening

remarks by Boyan Konstantinov, Policy Specialist, HIV, Health and

Development at the United Nations Development Program, followed by

presentations from Emily Christie, Senior Advisor in Human Rights and

Law at UNAIDS; Angela McBride, Executive Director of the South African

Network of People Who Use Drugs; and Teresa Castro, a social worker

and peer collaborator at Kosmicare in Portugal.
