In this episode I'm joined once again by Mitch from the Video Vacuum, as we look the newest Dolph flick "Wanted Man." We get into how this stacks up with some of his other newer stuff, and how he's doing as a director. We also discuss his career as a whole, and look at his comic book roles in "The Punisher" and the Aquaman films. Before all that, my opening thought covers my pet peeves about Philly accents in films, and how twentysomethings are depicted in late 90s period pieces.

"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some weeks in addition to the main podcast. In this episode we're starting our look at the Ip Man films. With the first one, I look at the Ip Man story, how Donnie Yen does as the hero, and why the film works overall. With part 2, I get into a bit on Darren Shahlavi, and I also compare these films to Wong Kar Wai's "The Grandmaster." Then in a bonus segment, I look at "Wonder Woman 1984."

Ty from Comeuppance Reviews is back for his monthly spot on the pod. First we look at a new one with Don "The Dragon" Wilson, "Shepherd Code," which unfortunately doesn't have a lot of him in it. Second, we look at "Fortress," a Willis flick we'd been meaning to cover, with a surprisingly good Chad Michael Murray performance. Finally, in our Spotlight on a Fight, we go back to "Blackbelt," where Wilson and Matthias Hues get after it.

In this episode Sean Malloy of "I Must Break This Podcast" is back, and we're discussing the Cannon Films documentary "Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films." We talk about our favorite moments, what may have caused the demise of Cannon, and give some special attention to the "Masters of the Universe" film, and where it fits with the rest of Cannon's library.

"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some weeks in addition to the main podcast. In this episode we're finishing our look at the Star Trek original cast franchise with "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" and "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country." With the first film, I look at the volume of sequels that came out in 1989, and where this fit with those. Then I get into what played a role in this movie ultimately not working. With the second film, I get into my own personal history with it, and what I liked and didn't like, then I look at Star Trek's legacy as a whole. Where does it fit in this current ecosystem of fandoms and franchises?

In this episode I'm joined once again by Chris Kacvinsky from Bulletproof Action as we don our House of Pain hats and discuss "The Sweeper." Spiro Razatos is dialing up Honey Combs-fueled action sequences so fantastic we forgive the fact that it goes from midday to late at night in the span of a foot chase. It's PM, it's C. Thomas Howell, it's Ed Lauter, and it's all awesome.

Ty and Brett from Comeuppance Reviews are back, and we're doing our third unsung Dolph list! First I start with a new opening thoughts segment in the cold open, where I talk about the concept of "jumping the shark," and whether we've all gotten the concept wrong all along. Then Ty and I give our new unsung Dolph lists, but not before the three of us go off on numerous tangents, including one where Brett and I talk about 90s movie theater employees that were real sticklers on the rules.

"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some weeks in addition to the main podcast. In this episode we're continuing our look at the Star Trek original cast franchise with "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" and "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home." With the first film, I open with a short history of the blockbuster at that time, starting with "Jaws" in '75, and how Star Trek fit into that. I also get into the idea that the odd-numbered films are bad and the even-numbered ones good, and whether or not that holds up with part III. With the second film, I talk about how it wasn't originally one of my favorites, but how this viewing I really enjoyed it; I also look at how "End Game" follows some of its premise, and chat a little bit about the Challenger explosion that happened the same year this film was released.

In this episode I'm joined once again by Rich Hawes from the DTV Digest to discuss Olivier Gruner and his first film, "Angel Town." We look at where Gruner fits in terms of 90s DTV action stars, and how his career shakes out throughout the 90s and 00s. With "Angel Town" we break the film down, looking at the action and Gruner's performance.

Ty from Comeuppance Reviews is back, this time for a Dermot Mulroney double feature. First we look at Art Camacho's new one, "Ruthless," which actually has a surprisingly high amount of ruth. Second, we look at the new one from Christian Sesma, "Lights Out," which also has Frank Grillo, Mekhi Phifer, and Scott Adkins. Finally, in our Spotlight on a Fight, we go back to "Sudden Death," where Van Damme fought a woman in a penguin mascot costume.
