It took seven albums and 11 years, but R.E.M. finally got their breakthrough in 1991 with Out of Time. The overall album heads in the same direction as Green, but goes even further into mandolin weirdness. Freed from the constraints of touring, Peter, Mike, Bill, and Michael had every opportunity to make exactly the album they wanted... but the result is oddly inconsistent.

This episode features a brief appearance by Brayton Cameron of Teenage Dirtbags to discuss "Radio Song".

Probably the strongest single-issue voter in the book, if we had to guess.

No running around the brain pool!

If you think just the words "Gabe Newell" are a joke, you'll love this episode about the worst thing we've covered.

Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross read your responses to Nioh.

After a long digression about their favorite and least favorite beers and wines, Gary and Jeremy chat about some gosh danged X-Men. This week's episodes are "Longshot" and "Cold Comfort" two short stories episodes that which are very good (Cold Comfort) and not that great (Longshot). Longshot picks up where Mojovision left off, and we get treated to more Mojo! Unfortunately, he's about the best thing from this ep. Cold Comfort FINALLY gives Gary and Jeremy the Iceman they've been craving, plus BONUS cameos that are amazing and great.

This is the entry that made us want to do this show.

Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross kick and punch their way through Yakuza.

Here it is, the winner of our Open World Game Poll. Except, it's a very different kind of open world game. Yakuza picks up where Shenmue left off, but does everything a lot better... especially the story, which follows ex-enforcer Kazuma Kiryu as he tries to get to the bottom of what insidious actors are using the Yakuza for malicious gains.
