It's a TEENAGE DIRTBAGS SPECIAL REPORT! Time to end our contract with Christian Slater. We don't mind stealing bread, and hopefully you don't mind listening to this episode.

And a bonus 8-bit version

Alive and dead at the same time, Jake Chambers finds comfort.

This week, Kole is joined by Jeremy Greer and Paddy Smith to talk about "Key and Rose", the chapter that looks at Jake's fate after the events of The Gunslinger and The Drawing of the Three. He's an ordinary boy living his life in Manhattan in 1977, but he's also a living paradox. Driven insane by the memories of events that never were, he leaves school to find a very, very important abandoned lot.

When I'm old and crazy, shove me in a pommel.

Let's attend to the question of Kole's sandwich paradox.

This is a very cursory glance at a very huge and complicated game. We extend a great deal of thanks to Mai for letting us borrow her expertise!

Warner Bros. signed R.E.M. at the height of their popularity as an alternative rock band. Imagine their surprise when the R.E.M. they got sounded nothing like the R.E.M. that released Document just a couple of years earlier. Peter, Mike, Michael, and Bill had decided to swap instruments around. Peter picked up the mandolin, and a few folk ballads made their way into the mix. Given all of this upheaval, it's surprising that Green is one of the most solid R.E.M. albums, front to back.
