The boys of Due For A Sharpening are celebrating the New Year with their first ever fully in-person recording featuring a special guest of honor, Mr. Mike Riley.  The boys discuss the wide array of hockey available on New Year's Eve, their New Year Resolutions and much, much more!  

The boys take on the exciting and controversial world of shot-blocking and offer some possible solutions and alternatives.   

As the holiday season is upon us, the boys discuss fun holiday topics such as movie characters, hockey gifts and how the stick game has changed since they were kids.   

The boys get a chance to sit down with Northern Michigan University Hockey equipment manager, Karsten Kamps.  They talk shop about equipment, day-to-day hockey operations, and share some unique stories from the road and beyond.   

Recently, Alex Ovechkin has made headlines for passing Gordie Howe for #2 on the all-time goals on one team list.   In this episode, the boys discuss Ovi's rise to fame and how he stacks up against both Gordie Howe and "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky.   Dan also explains his old man moment while recently sharing the ice with some young "whippersnappers" and their views on their favorite hockey players today.   

The boys give an in-depth look into one of the most famous hockey movies of all time, Mystery, Alaska.   Whether it's Russell Crowe's amazing skating ability (or inability) or the confident leadership of Burt Reynolds; nothing is off limits for the boys of Due For A Sharpening.
