The Timberwolves win a nationally televised barn-burner against the Nuggets and then drop a raod b2b to the Spurs. Mitch and Pat were in attendance on Friday night and with voices recovering, they are here to break down both games.
Due to some technical issues while traveling, the game recap is posted a day late and down one member of the team. Just like last year's team, a 2-2 start to the season that has flashes of something really promising, and then lapses into sloppy play. Pat discusses why despite the loss, there is reason for optimism in the good that we are seeing.
The Minnesota Timberwolves coast to victory against an undermanmned Raptors team. Some very good basketball mixed with lapses of being fully aware of the caliber of opponent lead to a game that was between 10-20 points all night long.
Previous version had some audio issues - hopefully those are all ironed out here!
The Timberwolves bounce back in game two of their season and beat the Sacramento Kings in their home opener. Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle led the way in a game that was marked by effort - a stark contrast to the season opner in LA.
Wolves back! ... Kind of. Mitch and Pat recap a messy game where the Timberwolves played without any sense of the identity that we saw in the preseason. They discuss what went wrong on opening night without pulling any alarms and panicing.
Mitch and Pat wrap up their 2024-2025 season preview by taking a step back and looking at the Western Conference as a whole. Where do the Wolves stack up against the most talented conference in NBA history? Did the trade help or hurt our feelings about the season? Bronny James has MVP odds? All these questions and more in today's episode.
It's that time of year once again. Mitch and Pat briefly recap the preseason opener (Josh Minott!) before getting into the meat and potatoes of their bold predictions and player bets.
Anthony Edwards for first team all NBA? (+260) Naz Reid 6th man of the year repeat? (+1000) Mike Conley technical? (+10000000000)
Mitch and Pat kick off season two by looking back at last year's preseason predictions. What they got right, what they got wrong, and what prediction left them so embarassed that they hope their children will never listen to the show.
Mitch and Pat hop on the mics to record an emergency episode and sort through the complicated emotions that come with Karl-Anthony Towns being trade to the New York Knicks
We talk about it from the business side at a franchise perspective, the personal side as fans, and finish the episode by beginning to consider the basketball implications.
Mitch and Pat are back for the last time to officially wrap-up season 1 of the podcast by talking about Anthony Edwards' Olympic debut and handing out Olympic Awards.
We'll be back in September as the team reports to training camp with positional previews, predictions and more. Have a great rest of your summer!
