Disney Genie service began at the Disneyland Resort on December 8, 2021. The service costs $20 per ticketed guest per day. Disney Genie+ is similar to Disneyland’s old MaxPass system, which was a digital service that allowed guests to book Fastpasses on their smartphones.

The three attractions available for Individual Lightning Lane in the two parks are Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disneyland park and Radiator Springs Racers and Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure in Disney California Adventure.

DVC announced that Interval International will become the program's new exchange partner effective January 1, 2022. Among its current resort brands are Marriott, Hyatt, Vistana, Starwood, and Ritz Carlton. Interval currently represents more than 3200 resorts in 80 nations worldwide. 

DVC members may continue to trade via RCI through December 31, 2021. Deposits made to RCI that have not yet been redeemed may be utilized through 2023.
